This is one of my favorite breweries when traveling. It has a very unique atmosphere, including swings you can sit in at the bar (chained down so nobody gets drunk and kills themselves - LOL). The beer is average plus. There are some really nice items on, but most are around what you expect. They do have a nice selection and include ciders, seltzers, and nonalcoholic sodas, as well. I have eaten from a few food trucks in this location and Gainesville always seems to get the best food trucks for breweries. This time it was Arepa Burger, but I have had Twisted Tikka and Chefries on other trips. I will definitely return when I am heading down this way again. read more

Brewery #395 Daft Cow is in like the nicest Industrial park I have ever been in. It probably isn't really classified as an industrial park since there was also an apartment complex and a restaurant that I saw coming in. Probably more of a multi-use complex. Anyway, none of that matters. Daft Cow is a cool place to hang out with lots of outdoor seating plus their mascot makes for cool merch. The beer was pretty good. The ladyfriend and I split a 6 beer flight which consisted of 3 IPA's, a sour, cream ale and a stout. My favorite 2 were the Oatmeal Cookie stout and the Liquid Therapy hazy IPA. Apparently i missed the menu with food onsite! Ooops read more

Located in a great area! No problems with parking :) This place is a great hangout spot. Friendly staff with good beer and lite bites. I love how you're able to go next door and bring Wine from the business next door. They both work together to make sure their customers enjoy the experience. We come as a group for Trivia Night and really enjoy it. read more

This is definitely what you call a hidden gem in A small town like alachua! We tried a couple of their beers. I wasn't wanting something too heavy that day so the very friendly bartender recommended a nice pina colada from their cocktail menu. They don't have a lot, But it's nice to break it up between beers. The place has plenty of space for sitting and playing games or just relaxing. They also have food trucks outside their establishment sometimes. We will be back for another hangout with friends and try new flavors!! read more

Great place to hang out with kids and dogs. It's outside under shade with tables and food is good. There's usually a food truck there too! You can sit inside to eat and drink also. read more

They now have food and it's all pretty good. I love the large pretzel with dipping sauces. They always have food trucks. Nice chill vibes and family & dog friendly. The owner and staff are always super nice. This place gets super busy and rightfully so. The beer is very good they have something for everyone's palats. This is my favorite brewery in Gainesville and I'm not just saying that because I live 3 minutes away .... LOL. Oh and they're actually in Alachua not Gainesville. read more

Great brewery, great staff and very good flat bread pizzas. A good selection of beers and some other drinks for non-beer folks. The bartenders were super friendly and helpful. Very chill spot. I wish lived in the area. read more

Great brewery with very friendly staff. The master brewer is there almost everyday and real friendly. It's nice they have such a variety of beers and they only serve the beers they make. They also have a variety of other drinks for those who don't drink beer or alcohol and drinks for kids. I love the new hard seltzer cocktails they started making! They are so delicious! It's a cool place to chill with friends or have a party. They even have a big event room you can rent. Check out their website or social media for weekly events and food truck schedule. It's a little off the beaten path but it's worth the trip! read more

Great environment with plenty of options and games to play. Perfect place to grab a drink and sit outside. 5 stars

Overview: 5/5 Finally, finally FINALLY a brewery in Alachua. Happy day and a great hang out place with family or friends. BONUS - there is a wine bar next door for non-beer loving people. Ambiance : 5/5 I love the layout of this brewery!! Usually these places are cold and steely. This brewery has character, indoor and outdoor seating and a live band was playing on Friday night. It has lots of seating and a long bar with stools. The swings are a nice novelty but not sure I would want to sit on them all night long and drinking lol. Food/Drink 4/5 Although the brewery does not serve food they arrange for a food truck most nights they are open. On the night we went it was a Mexican Crunchy Taco truck (very good). Onto the beers... quite a variety. I tried a flight of six to take a broad brush tasting across the board. My favorite was the cash cow. See photo for my beer flight ratings Service : 5/5 We sat at the bar and were well cared for. The bar tender (Dan) was knowledgeable and helped us determine the order in which to drink our flight. Conclusion : We will be bar flies for sure. Join the Alachua County Sippin Seven Trail to earn points towards free stuff!! read more

Daft Cow Brewery - Flight You can choose 4 or 6 - Breweries Near Me - Alachua, Florida

This place is a vibe! There was live music, which was a little too loud, but it was nice to listen to after ordering and getting comfortable. We aren't big beer people, so we got a flight and asked for a few recommendations for the beer tender. He was super patient, helpful, attentive, and nice. They didn't have too many food options but there was a food truck outside. We ended up getting pita and crackers with hummus and a buffalo chicken dip, which was on the brewery's menu! It was really good, and a perfect side for the beer. read more

If I could a negative star I would. Beers were down right awful. The wheats had no flavor and milk stout tasted like they just added food coloring to a natty. I had the flight of beers and frankly warm and flat is not what you want when it comes to beer. The little boy w the baby blue gaged earrings might have the worst attitude I've ever interacted with. You would think someone working for tips would have a more outgoing happy and excited to see you attitude,,, must be his first job! Entitled spoiled brat is all I could think. I do not recommend this brewery. I don't recommend you waste your time as they'll be out of business soon. read more

We've met so many great people that enjoy playing board games, beers and good and it's been great! We LOVE all the staff at Daft Cow! Y'all are AMAZING! read more

Great beer and great service. Unfortunately, we had people sit next to us at the bar playing board games which made me very uncomfortable, we moved and they still moved closer to us taking up most of the bar. Unable to enjoy the atmosphere and beer. Definitely give it another go though, maybe. read more

Great brewery. Friendly, really good beer, good food trucks and game nights. Like it a lot.

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. And very good beer. Not big on sours or flavored beers here. Usually food trucks are there. Cute wine bar next door if someone doesn't want beer. Outdoor seating. Good for dogs and kids. read more
