I stopped in on a Friday night to hear Alex Sings, and even though I came solo, I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. It's the perfect place to unwind after a long week, enjoy a good meal, and listen to live music. I ordered the Friday special, and it was a great value. The chicken tenders were fresh, hot, and well seasoned. Bobby, the bartender, took my strawberry Smirnoff to the next level by adding pineapple juice and strawberry Pucker--it was absolutely delicious! The service is what really stood out. Joey, the owner, and Bobby, the bartender, have got to be two of the coolest guys I've met in a while. They were super personable, down-to-earth, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. What really earned my 5-star rating was learning that they donate their leftover food to people in need every week. I love supporting businesses that give back to the community. They also host Wing It & Sing It Karaoke on Wednesdays, and after this experience, I'm looking forward to coming back to check that out too. Joey's Place has fresh food, great drinks, genuine hospitality, and a laid-back atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

After partying in the Arena District we made our way here. It was crowded but not that bad. The bar is in a strip mall. It doesn't look like much from outside, and it's a little better inside. The bar is pretty clean, but the atmosphere is terrible. For an Irish pub it doesn't seem to be that much. They were playing terrible country or computer DJ music. I had a Tullamore Dew and ginger beer. It's $5 for a large glass. They also had other specials like buckets for about $6 or so. It seems like an average strip mall bar. It just has an Irish name for it. This bar isn't that much Irish except for whiskey.

I wanted to get a beer and was being ignored by the bartender. The place wasn't very busy but she was paying attention to everyone else and it took a while for me to get a beer. Finally, I got her attention by waiving my arms back and forth. I got my beer and asked bought one for my friend. She took my money for 2 beers but never brought my friend his. Again she was ignoring me. But she did have time to do some shots with some other patrons. I finally got her attention and she told me, "I'm helping another customer and if you keep yelling at me you're going to p@#$ me off". It was pretty loud in there so I don't know how I could have not yelled. I simply told her she wasn't a good bartender and she called the owner to kick me out. The owner didn't want to know about the situation or what happened. All I wanted was my friends beer OR my money back. She was trying to steel my money. The owner threatened me so I had to call the police. Unfortunately, no one else could hear us so the police couldn't do anything. I did get my money back but this is how customers are treated there.
