Love, love, love this store!!! It's my one-stop shop for gift buying. What I love most about this place is that they do such a beautiful job of gift wrapping my purchases. It makes shopping for a gift so easy. I typically get a box of their decorative matches and gardenia candles. This gift is always such a hit. I've been shopping here for many years and LOVE this store! The only problem is that everything is such good quality, it lasts FOREVER! How can I rationalize buying another one when the one I have is in such good condition? Really, they just gave me amazing customer service! I bought a Free People dress and it snagged like crazy wearing it just once. I went back and they got credit for it from Free People. So I exchanged it for a throw for my couch. After I paid the difference, they put the dress in my bag and let me have it for free! Now THAT is customer service! Years ago a store close by acted like they were doing me a huge favor by giving me store credit for a leather skirt that fell apart after wearing it once. It was very expensive and I was a good customer. What a difference in customer service! If you haven't shopped there yet, GO! Oh, and by the way, Holly is a doll and ALWAYS very helpful and friendly. I was looking for a birthday gift for a little boy and ended up walking out with one from Blue Windows. Love this store! They do sell some higher end retail clothing items and an assortment of fun goodies. The lady who was working (maybe the owner?) was so incredibly friendly, did a beautiful gift wrap for me that resulted in cutting a significant amount of time off my errand running trip. I just walked right down to the post office and slipped it in the mail. They were friendly, warm and inviting, and personable. The prices weren't too bad for what they offered, although I could see how people might think some of it was on the higher end. I will definitely come back here when I am in the market for some really cool original jewelry or if I need a quick pair of Joe's Jeans. read more

This store has the best selection (on 2nd street) of clothing/accessories/housewares geared towards women. It's like a mini Anthropologie but with better and more high end fashion jewelry. The clothes are less gaudy than what Anthropologie has been carrying lately too. Only complaint is their high pricing. Saw a necklace today for almost $400! Ouch. Gold plated initial necklaces were $65/each which is also high too. Fun to browse through their selection though. Also cute store design. read more

Blue Windows is a unique and elegant boutique on 2nd Street. The first thing that you will notice is the awesome window display, which are handmade (I have heard most are made by Heather, the sweet and inspiring owner). Next, when you enter, you get to smell what I can only describe as the Blue Windows aroma, it is a gorgeous menage of beautifully scented candles and soaps. I love it when I buy clothes there and I get to smell BW when I come home. it is a divine scent that must be experienced. I am a huge fan of the Kasil jeans, the Free People line, and Jeanine Payer collection. Lastly, I like that I can buy there with confidence. Most boutiques on 2nd Street do not stand behind their merchandise to the caliber that BW does. It's nice to be able to support a community store and still get the customer service quality you would get at a place like Nordstroms. All of the sales associates are super-friendly and down to earth. If you ever need to get a unique gift for someone (at any age, I didn't even touch on the kids stuff or the stationary), or something special for yourself, or just to window shop and get a little aromatherapy, I would highly recommend stopping by Blue Windows on 2nd Street. I really love this place! It some really unique and wonderful items. It is a little pricey (I guess most boutiques are though), but there is the occassional item that is a real steal. They have some awesome collections of jewelry, cookbooks, clothing, decor, cards, and more. I feel like every time I go in there, new stuff is on the shelves...which makes me wonder where and when is the big clearance sale!?! Overall a really great place though! read more

I LOVE this store... it has the most amazing (if not a little pricey) children's lines. The kids books are great, there's always something new for my 2 to enjoy. I sent a few of their board books to my niece and her parents loved them, said there's nothing like it where they live. Also, the Janine Payer line is amazing. My husband has bought me 2 of her necklaces and I love them. Always super nice and helpful, and willing to gift wrap anything, beautifully. i have always loved this place. great gifts, clothing and cards. always my first stop in belmont shore. but beware if you buy a gift certificate they are only good for 1 year...no exceptions. i got one for christmas and misplaced it. it was for a good amount. called that day i found it and they would not honor it. two weeks too late. what a disappointment. i know it was my fault for misplacing it. but given the amount i would have thought they would do something. never told the person who gave it to me what happened. sad...they have lost me as a customer. read more
