The lack of accountability by this company for their mistakes, miscalculation of materials needed, shelves installed that were not level, shelves that had to be re-cut three times because they weren't measured correctly. Poor communication between the designer, the installer and management. Repeated lack of follow through and broken promises- their word meant nothing. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. My contractor refuses to work with them due to their incompetence and I wonder how they stay in business. A simple shower and countertop remodel that turned into an almost year long nightmare. I'm still waiting for them to finish cutting the first countertop that I'm giving to my son because the matching tiles were a different color than the showroom sample ("not Baptista's fault"). I've gotten texts since December that they'll get to it as soon as they can - it's been 3 months.

I initially visited and did research for carpeting brands/styles and color. I was up north and visited the Clackamas store for a greater selection of wood products to try and match existing wood floor surfaces. Because of the distance, waiting for samples and other things there just was not good progress made and I needed to move in within 30 days. The other day I was about to lose my mind as over two weeks had gone by without a viable solution. So, I switched strategy to replace all the wood instead of matching. I called the store and Kathy answered. When I explained my plight, she said "come in tomorrow and I will help you". I didn't know that the store here could work with getting materials where I needed them up north. Anyway, I spent 3 or more hours with Kathy. At the end and thru several fits and starts (out of stock items-namely), I walked out with my materials ordered and in progress. YAY! But, wait! I started having panic attacks about the product ordered and wanted to try to order something else. I called her the next morning, early, and asked if it could be done! She said "it looks like it, let me check and I will call you back". Lo and behold, I am now receiving my new, preferred wood option and am a happy camper! Kathy deserves all my gratitude as I tried to navigate a solution which seemed impossible (and stressful). She was extremely patient with a novice at flooring and helped keep me calm. I knew we'd never be able to get a perfect match for a color that is no longer manufactured, but Sandra found several swatches that were pretty darn close. My husband squawked at the price (like he always does about everything... no reflection on Color Tile's prices), so Sandra showed us several less expensive options, which were not as close in color to the old carpet we are keeping (in the upstairs bedrooms), but were still colors that were close enough that it wouldn't be a jolting color change when walking from room to room. We will probably have to replace all the carpet in about a year, so we'll get something I love later. Anyway, Sandra took about an hour to help me decide which swatch was the closest color in the mid-price range. All the colors start to look the same after a while. She's fabulous.
