Chicken Sandwich with veg cream cheese
    Michelle P.

Blue Sky makes me feel nostalgic. We used to walk to the downtown location a lot as poor college students and it always filled and warmed us up! My favorite is definitely the Asiago Cheese with veggie cream cheese! But I think I have had every bagel they have to offer (except maybe plain...what's the point?) and most of the cream cheeses (Or "bagel frosting" as my 4 year old likes to call it). Each one is really perfect. The bagels are delicious with excellent texture. A shiny, firm exterior with a squishy center. They are made fresh every day and it's easy to tell. Some of the local grocery stores carry their cream cheese to buy and that's always a treat! They also have great sandwiches. Lots of yummy lunch meats and options, like chicken salad or tuna. All the extra veggies are free (I feel quite offended when someone charges me $0.50 for lettuce). Insider trick: skip the slice of cheese and mayo and have them spread cream cheese inside. Oh yea! They do have soup, but I am really not a fan. I should ask the next time I go in....but I'm fairly certain that the soup is not homemade. It tastes canned to me. But this isn't a soup place, so I'm not really holding that against them. I would love to see Blue Sky get a little crazy and start featuring a unique bagel of the month or something. Something creative and zesty and unique. Their bagels are delicious but predictable. I would definitely go out of my way to try something fun and new.

Call to check their hours. Another staffing shortage issue. Didn't get to try it yet so this is a temporary review

We grabbed two bagels this morning for breakfast. We order an everything bagel with lox spread and sesame seed bagel with sprouts, tomato, capers and cream cheese. Both bagels were pretty good but next time will remember to tell them to toast are bagels twice cause they were not toasted enough.

If you haven't tried this bagel shop you are missing out! Everything is made in house and you can taste it! I got their bagel and soup and it was phenomenal! The honey Walmart spread had chunks of Walmart! And their asiago cheese bagel was fantastic! When you first go in it's a little confusing as to where you order because the cash register is near the entrance. But the staff is super nice and they quickly pointed us in the right direction. The staff recommendations were on point. If you're in the area I highly recommend you stop by and have lunch

Plain solid okayish bagels. Can't expect more for the price I guess. Nothing to really write home about, quick bite when you're in a rush.

Excellent service and just what I wanted in the morning. A toasted cinnamon and sugar bagel with a smear of walnut and honey cream cheese.

Soooo slow. Waited in line behind 5 people for a bagel, for 25 minutes. How can a bagel take so long?

Multiple pieces of perfectly crispy bacon, plenty of herbed cream cheese, definitely more than just one egg, looks to be about 2 (No egg patties, cooked in store). There's even a piece of cheddar cheese melted on top of the bagel, so yummy! I will choose Sarah's bagels over Blue Sky moving forward. For the same price, Sarah's gives you homemade with quality ingredients, while Blue Sky only house makes bagels/"schmear", and uses low quality Sysco ingredients (frozen egg patties, icky/not crispy/low quality bacon, etc.). The bagels are just straight up better at Sarah's, too.

I have been to the downtown location and had such a good experience there. The staff there was so friendly! Unfortunately, today's visit at it's sister location was not the same. Walking in, the joint is really bright and clean. I appreciate the huge menu boards of all their items. Everything looked so good at first glance in the display case. We hung out for a second going over everything when the employees started coming out. We weren't really greeted. No one really said hi. Finally a gentleman stood there to take our order. I got my husband's order taken care of. I still needed a minute and finally decided on my sandwich. And this is when things really started to go down hill. We stood at the counter waiting to pay. Waiting, waiting, standing there like a couple idiots. The young gal behind the counter let some other customer cut us off and pay for some random drinks. And then we just stood there. I asked the gal if she was going to ring us up and she said no. "Go sit down and you pay when you get your food". Well, that would have been nice to know if someone would have told us that in the first place. We finally paid for our order, got our food and a table. For brunch I grabbed a tasty turkey sammy on a croissant. My husband got a egg, ham and cheese on a croissant. We also snagged a couple smoothies. We got lemon mango and peach. Our sandwiches were nicely made. My sandwich had fresh veggies in it, a good amount of turkey and the herb cream cheese was savory. My husband devoured his breakfast sammy. The croissant was buttery and soft. It honestly was a great sandwich. If you're planning on selling boba in your teas, coffees and smoothies, please make sure the boba pearls are edible. It was amazing how many uncooked boba pearls were on the bottom of my smoothie. Hard, inedible pearls. How embarrassing. I didn't even order them in my smoothie but I got them. I paid for inedible boba pearls so make sure you specify if you want them or not. As gross as they were, I would recommend a hard no on the boba pearls. The smoothies itself were good. The lemon mango was refreshing even though it was thick and hearty. The peach smoothie was really tasty as well. They are gracious with their sizes. I got medium and barely drank half. I will say their smoothies are pretty legit. As good as the sammys were, I just can't get over the rude staff and my hard boba pearls. For me, I rate on the whole experience and I just can't go higher than a 2. Communication with your customers is so important and clearly this joint lacks it. So basic but not given here. I'll stick to the downtown location for my future Sarah's bagel visits from now on. I want to enjoy my food that's prepared by a nice staff.

Same stuff at both locations, onion bagel, lox, tomato, thin sliced red onion, cream cheese and capers. This sandwich did not have the huge saltiness of Freedom Bagel bakery. The difference of nearly $5 could be used to buy almost a dozen of "day old" bagels at Blue Sky. I liked the way Blue Sky Bagel sells their bagels the next day when they make too many. This is a very common practice with bagel shops across America. One has to wonder why Freedom Bagel Bakery didn't have some bags of "day old" bagels for sale during my visit. Could Freedom actually know exactly how many bagels to make? Because if they do, thousands of bagel shops across this country would love to know the secret. Hey, who can't eat a reheated, day old bagel? The cost is better and the taste is better than supermarket bagels, even the ones made in the market's bakery, like Albertson's. America, give up your supermarket bagels and shop your local bagel maker.

I have bought a handful of donuts, bagels and donuts from this joint and don't recall them being that size. Asked the gal who helped me if it was normal for them to be so small. She replied with "it depends on the day". So, basically some days you're getting your money's worth and some days you're getting screwed. Pretty sad. Desperate of how small they were, my husband enjoyed the two fritters I got him. I had to get two since they were so tiny. Other local joints are selling fritters the size of their two, even bigger. Granted it's double in cost but I'm more than happy to pay that much for a good size fritter. I know I'm getting a lot of bang for my buck. With so many local bakeries and food trucks that are selling donuts, the last thing you want to do is shrink your products on your locals who have been supporting your local business.
