This is truly a diamond in the rough - a good mechanic you can trust. Unfortunately, I've found…read moreout that you can't even trust a "reputable" dealership service department these days, even though they are generally more than competent at repairing your car. Car repair is expensive. And the only thing that will cost you more than an incompetent mechanic is a dishonest one. Joe Reid has some 25-30 years of experience, AND he's a good man. I trust him completely. He's built his business entirely on word of mouth. I heard about him from a close friend, whose family has used Joe for 20 years. When Joe moved from Garland to Leonard, TX (East of McKinney!!!) - I made the 60 mile drive from Dallas to take my cars to him. That's how good he is. As someone who drives for a living, having a mechanic I can trust is priceless.
