I called to make an appointment with Alma and was directed to go online to make the appointment. Never talked to a human being. I made an appointment with Alma but when we showed up she was with another customer. She seemed to have no knowledge of our appointment. Theresa started out with us showing us the quartz that they had available. As we were making our selection Alma joined us. We provided her with a detailed layout of the countertops that we needed. It was a Friday, and unlike other places that can give you a rough cost estimate immediately, she said she would get back to us Monday with prices. Since we received no estimate I called her on Tuesday. She gave me a lame excuse and promised a price by Wednesday morning. It is now Friday evening and I have had no response from them. They obviously don't need new business. Stay away. Don't waste your time. read more

Update on the company's response to my 3/5/23 review. After my Yelp review the owner forwarded an email with contact information on their recommended stone specialist for repairs. I used that company to fill the wide seam, which cost us $800 and lasted only 2 months. This is on an area where we do not even use the counter. I don't know anyone else who has this recurring issue with a countertop seam. In her response to my initial review, the owner stated she didn't see any emails from me. This was because I came to the shop in person and spoke with her and Alma twice, had several phone conversations with Alma, and texted the owner hoping to hire them to repair their own installation before I wrote my initial review. We are now stuck living with an open seam between 2 counters. I very much regret using Blue Pearl Stone. read more

From a few years ago I didn't want to wait for a month on a Kitchen Gut Rehab for Countertops so we went with the 10 day Lead Time from these folks. I told them I knew nothing about Stone and they said 'we know it all'. I did a quick Google and noticed 'SEALING the Stone' recommended-you don't need that I was told. Well, 5 years later I'll be spending another TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS to have the Marble Sanded and Polished due to all the ETCHING!!! Yes, I'm the dummy! read more

I could not be happier with the work Blue Pearl did on my 2019 Chicago loft gut rehab. Teresa, Alma and Page were there for me through every step of the process. Page helped pick materials that worked with my vision and then designed a stunning backsplash in the kitchen from a magnificent Tuscan White marble slab. When my husband recently damaged the quartz in the bathroom, I easily reached Teresa who quickly scheduled repair service for a nominal fee. My husband and I had a very poor experience with the owner and this business overall. The owner was incredibly rude, would not explain her pricing and literally screamed at me on the phone. She was the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in my life. As we could not find the stone elsewhere we used their services. They installed the stone and most of it looked fine. They never put the "caulk" type filling in one area of our kitchen slab. After many attempts to get them to come back out and finish the job they finally did. Below our pictures of the poor job they did. You can see in the pictures that one area of the filling is the appropriate grey color and the other part is a dirty brown that sticks out poorly and highlights the seam. read more

Their customer service is terrible, they don't return calls. They promise a timeline and never meet it. Then mess up the cutting of the material. The templates that they cut from are inaccurate. I am not impressed... at all. Ridiculous.. They have a lot of samples, that's the only good thing I can say about them. Go somewhere else. read more

We like to support small, local business but this turned out to not be a good decision. After installation as we began getting tile estimates for the backs splash we came to see and learn that there were many issues with the counter top installation and measurement. The back edge has a consistent 3/8- 1/2 inch gap across the whole length of the counter. They cut into our wall in several places to make it fit and there is an inconsistent overhang . We feel the counter top was not properly laser measured and cut before installation and then was not properly installed on site. As for the corner where the plaster was removed, the counter extends approximately ¾ of an inch into the wall. While we understand the challenges of installing in an older house we would suspect this could have been compensated for in laser measuring and scribing of the couter top, not the walls. We are sure if they would of moved the counter back ¼ of an inch the gap would have been a manageable 3/8 at its widest point. We took pictures to show an inconsistent overhang in front and the gaps and holes by the wall and have sent them to Blue Pearl. They have responded that what they did to measure and install is common practice in the field and are not offering anything to remedy the situation or make things right. We will not recommend using them to anyone we know. . read more

I recently used Blue Pearl Stone for my remodel. They have a large selection of beautiful stone slabs and I was able to find beautiful marble and Quartzsite for my laundry, bathrooms and kitchen. I especially want to point out the excellent customer service I received from Alma. She was very knowledgeable and patient and was always willing to answer my questions or take the time to address my concerns. The day of fabrication she had me meet with her to lay out how pieces would be cut for the island, bar and other areas. I used Blue Pearl for a remodeling project this past summer. I needed granite for three separate areas. I have used other granite places in the past, and although Blue Pearl is smaller, they had a very nice selection and I was able to make my choices easily. Not as overwhelming as some of the bigger places! The people I worked with there were very helpful, and I was able to get samples to bring home, which was a plus. They were also very mindful of my time frame, and I was extremely pleased with the very quick turnaround time between selection and installation. Ken, the measurer and installer, did a great job. I found Blue Pearl Stone online while looking for a remnant for my kitchen island. It was well worth the drive to LaGrange. They have a great selection of remnants as well as full slabs and I was able to find the exact granite I wanted for my island as well as the marble for my powder room. The price was very reasonable and the fabrication/installation was perfect. I wish I knew about them when I selected the granite for my outer countertops. The only reason I didn't go with the full 5 stars is because I had to order a second vanity top after one of the carpenters broke the first one. When the second one arrived, it was a three hole installation when I had ordered one hole. So I ended up exchanging my one handle faucet for a two handle. Otherwise, a perfect experience. When we remodel the basement, we'll go to Blue Pearl Stone. read more
