First time at Currans and I will definitely be back. I came for the wings and they delivered. I…read moreordered the wing sampler which came with 15 wings and I could get 3 different flavors. I settled on Medium, Cajun Dry Rub, and Garlic. Each wing was better than the last. My only "issue" was that they seemed to be slightly overcooked BUT I still enjoyed them. I also ordered the fried pickles and whatever batter they use, keep using it. Only giving a 4 because the wings spent too much time in the fryer

This is our go to spot for lunch time wings! The wings here are fantastic; the buffalo, cajun and…read moregarlic parm are all fantastic. This place is just a no nonsense, blue collar kind of spot. The clientele are young to middle aged roofers, sitting at the bar, oogling the insanely enhanced girl behind the bar. When we go in, we go to the other side of the inn and sit down for, what I believe are the best wings in Philadelphia. Beside being delicious, the wings are a decent size, so you won't feel TOO bad about shelling out the dough to eat here. 15 wings and a beer (including tip) ran me $25 the last time I was there. That ain't exactly a bargain, but its not highway robbery, because of the quality of the wings. The dining area is no nonsense; wooden tables and uncomfortable chairs. The waitress will take your order, bring your food and get out of your hair. There are tvs everywhere, so its probably a pretty sweet place to watch a game or ufc fight. Currans is firmly entrenched as one of my go-to spots, and is hands down my #1 for wings.

If you're looking for craft beer and cocktails with more than 2 ingredients then you've definitely entered the wrong Fishtown/Kengsington location. But if you're looking to grab 2 rounds of drinks for three at a little less than $20 with tip, bizarre artwork on the walls, and a few bar games to yourself, then you've come to the right low key neighborhood dive. Especially if Perry himself is slinging drinks! The beer doesn't go beyond Budweiser for drafts, but at $2.50 a glass that's just fine even if it is a little warm. The cranberry for the vodka cranberry was warm in the back, and not in the actual bar, but it worked for the price. Especially when the bar featured an unused pool table and shuffleboard to enjoy, and it featured unusual art like a Dean Martin portrait made out of Camel Cigarettes. Overall Perry's is one of those unique spots bars with plenty of kinks. But for a Philly dive bar fan it more than deserves its place on the map. Just remember that the bar is not responsible for lost or stolen souls!
