However, after allowing HoehnContracting to service my system I noticed the system had stopped running, and I had asked Paul to look at the system because it was not running! Paul took it upon himself to replace my $89 timer box with one of his choosing, and without my consent, and after which, he lied to me about the cost of the timer and told me it was $425 ! When in fact, it only cost $224 ... along with a service charge fee of $125 if that wasn't bad enough when I told him that he could have replaced it with an $89 timer, and that I did not want that timer for $425, he said he would take his timer back, but in doing so, he took all of the wiring for my timer, that was originally there and hardwired from the house, he now has it cut off at the bottom of the tank with a female plug and nothing from that point to the surface where the timer box is! He then left with his new timer in hand and the wiring for my system ! That wiring, was there before he decided to take it upon himself to do anything without my permission or consent The sad thing is, I had this done for my stepdaughter who is a single mother of two teenage boys and struggling to make ends meet, and now, with Paul taking the wiring, I am unable to put the $89 timer in to make her system operational. The only thing Paul chose to do was have his employee bring back a decrepit old rotted wire and dropped it on the ground and pretty much said here you go do it yourself. Even if the cord were long enough to reach the bottom, which it was not, it was far too decrepit to risk a fire just because someone got mad that they didn't make an extra $200 off of a 100% mark up , and then lie about it! Now I should mention that the system is a good six / eight feet underground! i'm in my 60s and completely disabled, and he expects me to crawl down in that hole and fix what he tore up A police report has been filed and I am awaiting that report for further action!

We have a Jet septic system that began leaking after a patch repair was attempted and failed two…read moreyears later it was determined the seal between the top and bottom sections of the cast concrete had failed because the top section had shifted. Trying to find someone who had done this type of repair work in Hamilton County was not easy. Luckily I found Paul Hoehn and he explained what needed to be done, that he had done it before, and while it would not be cheap the system would be able to be saved. What a relief. The location of the system was on a hill and not easily accessible. Paul planned out the correct equipment to complete the project quickly and safely. Paul made sure we were without septic service for the shortest amount of time(probably 5 hours) during the repair. He was in constant communication with us. Providing pictures as the job progressed. It took about 3 days from start to finish, be we are so happy to have a fully functioning system again. Paul and Scott were both very respectful of our situation and worked to get us back in service quickly. I'm sure this repair will last for many years. If you have an issue with a septic system give them a call. We can not say how happy we are that we did.

Had a fantastic experience with Halpin's Plumbing today. We called yesterday due to an unpleasant…read moreodor from a drain in our basement. They were able to schedule with us for the very next day. Their plumber Darrell called to let me know when they were on the way and arrived right on time. Darrell asked me what issues we were having, looked around and then said we should start with the FREE sewer scope (we had a valupak coupon) and go from there. They worked inside and outside (in the pouring rain!!) to get as good of an assessment as our pipes would accommodate the camera to go. Thankfully nothing urgent to fix, but Darrell gave several recommendations and options that could help fix the odor problem we are having and advised starting with the most economical. He also advised on potential causes to the water influx in our basement and some of the options for fixing that issue as well. As well as looked at a few plumbing things I may want to do in the future and let me know if they were possible and a rough guesstimated cost. At the end...I wasn't charged a dime. They said the coupon for the free scope covered their visit! Their excellent customer service, professionalism, and sound advise earned my future business as well as my referral to anyone needing a good plumber! Thank you, Halpin's!!

Awful company that lied about the job! Darryl, who worked for them in 2018, did the best he could…read morewith the materials they provided. I had roots growing in my pipes and instead of paying another company $7000 to replace the broken pipe at the elbow that allowed the roots to grow in and cause back-ups, he suggested sewer lining, which is supposed to cover all the cracks in old pipes. The quote was $4500 to line 30 feet from the basement out to the end of the yard. There was no mention that the liner can't cover pipe elbows! It was nothing but a disaster! When Darryl attempted to do the job, the 1st thing to happen was the liner got stuck in the pipe, under the basement floor! He had to break open the floor cement to pull it out! He was forced to replace that pipe and redo the floor cement! Then it happened 2 more times! It turned out my pipes were 4 inches and they only had 6 inch liners. Halpin refused to get 4 inch liners! Finally after weeks later, getting the liner in place and supposedly the job was done, my pipes continued to have issues of a back-up on the basement floor! In the meantime, Darryl left the company! I can only imagine why! Each time this happened, I called to complain and they came out and said I had root problems and snaked it to clear it! Each time I asked why I had roots after they lined the pipe, they claimed they told me the liner could not line in an elbow and that's where the roots were! I argued with them that I was never told that but they claimed it was my problem and not under warranty anymore! I told them that from the beginning, I knew the roots were in the elbow and that's what the original job was supposed to fix! I knew because the other company showed me on the video during their $7000 quote! Darryl never told me that the liner would not cover the elbow even though I made a point of telling him that's where the problem was! There's nothing in my quote, either! It says a full 30 feet will be lined! The last guy that came tried to charge me to snake it and I refused! He said he wouldn't charge me that time but anytime in the future, they would! That's 5 yrs ago! I've had back-ups, twice a year since! I've had to call a different plumber each time (Because I refuse to give Halpin another dime) and for the last year have been getting root killer to help! AS A RESULT, ALL PAPER HAS TO BE PUT IN THE TRASH CAN! CAN YOU IMAGINE ALL YOUR DIRTY TOILET PAPER ALWAYS IN THE TRASH!? IT HAPPENED AGAIN YESTURDAY BECAUSE MY 11 YR OLD GRANDSON FORGOT AND PUT PAPER IN THE TOILET AND THAT FAST, IT CAUSED A BACK-UP! I'M NOW 67 YRS OLD AND HAVE TO DEAL WITH POOP BACKING UP ON THE BASEMENT FLOOR, AGAIN! ALL BECAUSE HALPIN PLUMBING RIPPED ME OFF FOR $4500 TO LINE MY SEWER, BUT DIDN'T LINE THE PART I CALLED THEM ABOUT IN THE 1ST PLACE AND THEY DIDN'T TELL ME TILL IT WAS TOO LATE AND OUT OF WARRANTY! IT'S LIKE I NEVER HAD THE JOB DONE! I HAVE THE SAME ISSUES I HAD BEFORE THEY CAME AND WASTED $4500! AND NOW I CAN'T AFFORD TO HAVE THE JOB DONE RIGHT! DARE I SAY, HALPIN IS A SHITTY COMPANY! The inspector (John) was at the house on time at 8a sharp. He inspected and walked through each square footage of the house. From the roof to the backyard and basement. I was able to follow along and ask any questions during walk-through. John was very friendly and helpful during the entire experience. The inspection took about 2 hours and 45 minutes which was 30 minutes longer then the estimated time. After the inspection, John sat down with me and discussed all the items that needed attention and items to watch out for. He explained everything thoroughly.
