I recommend All Star Roofing to anyone who needs work on their roof…read more The person to provide an estimate, Ben, arrived on time and found the problem with my leaking roof immediately. Rather than providing an estimate and leaving, he fixed the problem on the spot and did not charge us for the fast repair. When the time comes for a new roof, I will call All Star Roofing first. I will also recommend them to anyone who asks. Thank you for a well run business that is looking to do the "right thing" with the customer in mind!!

We call this company to have them come fix it, and have been told they are under new management. They have requested all the previously signed documents over several email requests, because they kept forgetting or needing different information. 11 emails back and forth finally resulted in me making a phone call to a Jenna Esopi. When I asked if they had received everything they needed and I could schedule a date to have my roof fixed, I was told the new management hadn't reviewed the paperwork yet and they couldn't come fix my roof until it was reviewed. Apparently the new owners are entirely electronic, and didn't have my contract on file. I just want my roof fixed! Why is it always such a headache to get these companies to do what they said they promised to do?

I had a flood in my apartment and initially I went to Home Depot to rent a couple of dehumidifiers…read moreto dry out the space. I had them running for a couple of days but they didn't have a humidity gauge, and they weren't that powerful, so I wasn't sure how well they were working. I eventually called Albany Flood Control as they rented out larger machines. Brian came by my apartment and set up the larger dehumidifiers. These machines had a panel showing the humidity level in the apartment--less uncertainty. Basically talking to Brian was such a big relief. He told me how long I needed to run the dehumidifiers, and what I should look for. He was a great person to turn to after a potential disaster like this. Unlike at Home Depot I got really solid advice and although his machines are a bit more expensive they work way better and way faster than what I had originally. I have no affiliation with this company--I just found their website online, and I haven't reviewed on yelp before but felt I should this time as he went out of his way to help me. Thanks, Brian!

I needed my house's gutters cleaned and the last company I used a couple of years ago forgot to do…read moremy detached garage's gutters (despite me mentioning it to them several times during the booking process) and then complained when they had to come back and finish the job. So, I went with a different company this year. The good news: A Fuller Service came when they said they would; their price ($200ish) for my house seemed reasonable; and their female receiptionist was very friendly. The bads news: First, they are impossible to get ahold of on the phone. I called during their business hours at least 8 times over the course of several weeks and never once got to talk to a real person despite pushing "1". Only leaving phone messages worked. Second, when I booked my appointment I was given a window of a couple of weeks for them to contact me with a final date when they would show up. When they did send me the date, it was in a text message and the message errorenously didn't list the date! I called them back to confirm but, you guessed it... phone message. Third, when they showed up the first time they forgot to do the gutters on my garage. That really bugs me, as I specifically mentioned it during booking and the receptionist told me that she left a note in the file. Upon seeing the garage roof gutters dirty, I called to complain but you guessed it... phone message. The did come back after to correct it. So, I dunno. If you don't mind leaving phone messages AND you are home when they arrive so you can point out things they will miss (despite telling them in advance to focus on) the process should be smooth. But I found it frustrating.
