Customer service was excellent. If i liked sweet milk, i'd definitely enjoy a Summer Moon espresso in it. I was impressed with SMC as a business and doing an excellent job at actualizing an ideal of coffee they have. However, being from the rich coffee culture of Pittsburgh i've yet to find my people here in Houston where i'm visiting my parent for the holidays. I met my friend there at 10:00am. It was very quiet, which I like. The person taking the orders was Lilly. She was so sweet. She told us where she imports different ingredients from and how she uses the highest quality ingredients. She has a very extensive menu of both iced and hot coffees. There were also sandwiches and muffins. She told us that if we wanted something that wasn't on the menu, she would fix it for us. She asked me what flavors I like and what I don't like to help me make the best choice. I went with mocha coffee served hot. My friend got an iced drink called wedding cake. Both drinks were larger than I expected. I think 18 ounces but I may be mistaken. I was going to let mine cool off but she said it wasn't necessary. She was right! I was able to drink it right away. The temperature was perfect. It tasted great! My friend said her drink was awesome. The shop is delightful! There are several couches with coffee tables, some bar height table and stools as well. We sat on the couch and visited there until just after 1:00! A few people came in while we were there but they were all quiet and lept to themselves. There was some music playing but it wasn't loud at all. The setting is so peaceful and serene. The only picture I took was of a green vinyl couch because it reminded me of the one at my husband's frat house at SHSU in the mid 80s. I plan on going back again as soon as possible.
