My dog was very happy when we picked her up. The place is clean with lots of room to run and play.

Bringing my puppy, Ellie, to Unleash Fido was the best decision I could ever make. Before bringing…read moreEllie to Unleash Fido for training she was crazy! She would greet everyone who came to my place with a lovely leap to their face while they were sitting on the couch. She would dig on my couch and did not listen well. Now she is a brand-new puppy. She does not go on my couch or jump on anyone. She seems more confident in herself and calm. Macayla did an amazing job with her, and I am beyond grateful! I enrolled Ellie in their 4/5 weeks training. I got a report card and pictures or videos every Wednesday. I always looked forward to Wednesdays! After Ellie completed her training, we had to go back for our follow up trainings with Macayla. Ellie was beyond excited every time we went back. I have already recommended Unleash Fido to multiple friends. Highly recommend Unleash Fido!

We were recommend Unleash Fido by several people. We scheduled an hour long consultation with Travis who ended up giving us 90 minutes of his time to learn about Lily and discuss their program. Lily had several issues, such as pulling on the leash, lunging at cars, barking at people + other dogs and going absolutely crazy when Amazon/UPS was delivering a package. Ultimately, we booked Lily into their month-long Obedience Training Camp. After receiving weekly report cards that contained photos, videos and a brief update on how the last week was, we were finally ready to pick-up Lily. Our first time picking her up was also our first training with her. We worked on establishing place, having her heel while walking, and working on other things around distractions. Within the first 24 hours back at home, our investment in this training payed dividends. She's obedient on walks, doesn't mind others passing by, comes to us on call, goes to place when told and so much more. We'd highly recommend anyone who's dealing with behavior and/or obedience issues to look into Unleash Fido! It was so embarrassing to have an unruly dog, and this was a true investment that we are so happy we made.

We recently adopted a new furry family member, a Sheepadoodle to be exact. While we did our…read moreresearch on the breed, I wasn't sure if this breed would live up to their nickname: sharkadoodle. I'm here to say, our pup did. We adopted him at 7 weeks old and after our first vet appointment, we knew we needed to get a trainer, because the quicker you train your pup, the quicker they learn. When we asked our vet if they had any dog trainer recommendations, without hesitation, they mentioned Susan Gillespy with Behavior Training for Dogs. I contacted Susan via her website and within a few hours she contacted me back, asked some general questions, and we set up an appointment for our first dog training. I will say, do your research when looking for a trainer. While you shouldn't be price gouged, it is an investment, and an investment doesn't always come cheap. When I spoke to Susan, I asked how many sessions does a puppy normally need, she mentioned four (typically). She comes to your house, this isn't a group lesson. She arrived on a Saturday morning ready to start work. Susan described her teaching philosophy, what we'd aim to accomplish each session, and checked to see what our concerns were. I really liked how she got everyone in the family involved in the training. She's a big believer in "NFL" "No Free Lunch". Basically your pup/dog needs to work for their food. Each lesson we built on the concepts we learned, like come when called, clicker training, no nipping, sit, stay, down, signal, doorbell training, leash and harness training, jumping, etc. Each week we received homework. Some of our homework was doing 150-200 commands each day. If you do this every day, you'll see progress. By the end of lesson four, I feel like we had a different puppy. While he's still a work in progress, and it's a lifelong learning concept, I feel like this was a good investment. Susan may be tough, but she's fair, and you and your pup will thank you for it. Pros: -Fair pricing -Comes to your home -Works with the entire family -Ability to call/text Susan when you have questions/concerns -Gives you an outline and homework at the end of each lesson Cons: -None Tips: If you go with Susan/another trainer, be sure to continue to work with your pup.
