Our pup was turned down from attending day care because we were asked to send in a picture and his shot record. Turns out they classify a sweet, lick happy Frenchy as a "Bully breed" all buy looking at a picture. Obviously, they have had bad luck in the past, but the numerous paragraphs explaining why our pup didn't make the cut was insulting not only to us but to our dog. Did they ever think about having a one-on-one meeting with the pup, to see if this HUGE 28-pound pup showed any signs of aggression? No! Now we are glad they turned down our pup, because I don't want him in with a bunch of prima donnas. He would more than likely be ignored because this loving, kissing pup would be "Classified as unfit for their program. If you have a Westminster pup, go here, If not avoid, because they classify your pup due to a photo. I'll post the photo, and you tell me how threatening he looks. read more

This is a most wonderful facility! I take my 2 large breed dogs for daycare and boarding and they love it. They are always very well being taken care off. They get to play with other dogs all day long and you can have them shampooed for a fee. There are never any extra charges for meds and playtime. I have great confidence in all the kennel workers and my dogs are always looking forward to staying at Pet Camp St. Augustine. I've brought my 1 year old boxer here for boarding a few times and she loves it! It's very clean, very welcoming, the staff are amazing, and it's very reasonable. Lots of space and a structured day. They also post Instagram videos so it's nice to see her in her glory with the other dogs while we are away. They even have there own rooms! It's about the size of a walk-in closet. She's not locked in a crate at all. Did I mention the price is right?! I almost think they undercharge. I'm very impressed and relieved to have found them. read more

Hello! My name is Rosie the Pug and I recently had the opportunity to stay at Pet Camp for a week. I loved it! My people checked the website and other reviews before booking just a couple days before they dropped me off. Usually I stay near home but they decided to bring me along for the ride and I'm glad they did. I was impressed with the facilities we toured and got to go outside and pee in a nice shaded area for smaller dogs shortly after I arrived. I made lots of friends but when I had enough I let the friendly staff know and the let me back in to rest. I have a lot of spunk but I am a senior. I was outside with my new friends the morning I was picked up. My people were pleasantly surprised to find I smelled quite nice for the ride home. I can't wait to visit St. Augustine again! When we first rescued Bubba. He needed training. So I search the web for places close by. We found My Pet Camp and Silke. We took a private class then decide to take her obedience class. We are now in her intermediate agility class. We love her way of training both the dog and owner. If we were to go out of town I would leave Bubba in her care. I was new to town and had to find someone to help me with my very willful Black lab and Golden Retriever. They were beginning to show signs of dog aggression, and when they pull, I can't control them. After spending just one hour with Silke, my dogs were behaving beautifully. She introduced them to one of her dogs, and they didn't even budge. She was kind, patient, and even took the time to train me! Yesterday I took my 3 year old golden doodle for a private lesson with Silke Schroder at Pet Camp. Within 5 minutes Silke pinpointed the problem I was having and resolved the issue. I was amazed and only wished I had found her earlier! She continued working with us for the remainder hour lesson to reinforce and simulate various situations my dog could get into. Because we do not live here year around I was unable to participate in a session of classes and opted for a very reasonably priced hour long private lesson. Silke conducts numerous obedience classes, agility and fun type activities for dogs as well as run a kennel and puppy day care. I LOVE my dog Maxi soooo much. I rescued him and was told that he was a Beagle. I woke up one morning and saw this 70 pounds, hairy hobo looking at me. Maxi claimed my home, my time and my attention. Unfortunately, he also took over our walks deciding which way it was to be. Not only did he PULL, CRAWLING WITH HIS MIGHT, but he was going after bikes, strollers, people and dogs that he had decided "smelled wrong". In addition, being quite hairy, he picked up all kinds of sticky stuff from the grass. I spent long minutes trying to clean his face but he kept shaking his head at 25 miles an hour speed. A friend of mine recommended PET CAMP and SILKE. I left Maxi there for ONE DAY doubtfully thinking "what difference can one day do?" Silke showed me......my dog walked with NO PULLING in the direction we wanted him to go and let us put the Gentle Leader on his head like he had been doing this all his life. He also surprised me when Silke called him and the dog actually went to her RIGHT AWAY. I took Maxi home and walked him with my fingertips. I am still amazed when Maxi COMES TO ME AFTER THE FIRST CALL and STANDS STILL when I grab his head. I RECOMMEND PET CAMP SOOO MUCH. The change was miraculous, and RIGHT ON TARGET. ONE DAY made a huge DIFFERENCE in our lives. So, all of you out there, who want someone who KNOWS, UNDERSTANDS AND LOVES dogs, and you need help with your loved ones.....en route to Pet Camp. I would give this place no stars but i have to give one to post. On Friday, A client of there's dog was staying here and jumped the fence. The owner warned that he is known to do this. The dog struggled over the fence as there were scratches on his stomach. I want to know how if someone is in the yard watching these dogs (i worked at doggy daycare/boarding facilities for three plus years) how the hell did he manage to get all the way over without anyone noticing. Then is left running around from 10-2 in FLORIDA. That's the hottest time of the day. He was then found but not taken straight to the vet (even though they knew he was dehydrated), they just had the owner pick him up (who traveled back from orlando to pick him up). They said he was dehydrated but that was it. I was then called to continue to watch this dog since he would not be bringing him back to this facility. I met the dog around 7. By 7:30 i noticed he was acting very lethargic and bleeding in his urine. I rushed to the emergency vet and come to find out he had a heat stroke earlier and had capillaries bursting under his skin. They did everything they could, but sadly he had to be put down late Sunday evening. This place told the owner they are not liable if his dog jumped the fence. THATS BULL. YOU are responsible to whatever happens to that dog on your watch. It should not be able to drag itself over a fence without the person in the yard noticing, if there even was one. DO NOT GO HERE. I am beyond furious that we lost such an amazing dog to some facilities carelessness. read more
