The quality of work and customer service at Elevated Audio is second to none. You will pay more…read moreupfront by going to Elevated Audio, but the work will be done correctly and they will stand behind it. Coming from a guy who's gone to multiple audio shops with multiple BMW Z4s and had issues every time until this place, well, that upfront premium is definitely worth it to me! So what did I have done? I had the front tweeters replaced, a new DSP amplifier installed, and a new deck installed. They ran dedicated speaker wires to each speaker so each speaker had its own channel on the amp. Did we run into issues? Yes, just like the other two places I've gone to with my last sports car. But unlike the two other places I had gone to in the past, let's see how they truly went above and beyond... The first issue I had is the amplifier died. This is the nature of electronics (look up the "bath tub curve of reliability") - in short, if the amp was going to die, it was probably going to die within a few months of getting it or not for many, many years. Elevated Audio stood behind their product and replaced the amp. But there's more... Next issue was a rattling noise I heard from the passenger-side speaker. Again, I took in the car. And again, they stood behind their work and fixed the rattle. Now some audio shops would have argued it was not an issue with the speaker so tough cookies - not Elevated Audio. They just took care of it - no charge. But there's more... Next issue was the deck (I know, I had a bit of bad luck!) Again, remember the bath tub curve. No audio shop has control over if/when a deck or amp is going to fail, so you cannot judge them on that. I did not like the Kenwood deck they had put in for usability reasons and asked since the deck was acting up anyway to move to an Alpine. Again, they just took care of it - no charge on labor, just the delta in price to go from the original deck to the Alpine. More than reasonable. But there's one final thing! The steering controls work only intermittently. Again, they took it in free of charge and tried to fix it. It's still only working intermittently, but they've offered to let me bring it in to have them look at it again. I will take them up on that offer, but only after this whole COVID 19 thing gets better. So in summary, I know it may seem that many things went wrong, but you have to look at what was reasonably under their control. Every step of the way, the quality of their work was spectacular. They stood behind their product and their work. And I guarantee you that had I gone to another shop, I could have experienced the exact same manufacturer failures and had that occurred, I would not have been taken care of the way Elevated Audio treated me.

But, my review is similar in status as the other 1 star reviews, NO COMMUNICATION....PROMISED DEADLINES COMING AND GOING....ETC. They picked up my 84 Camaro Z28 in August of 2024. It had electrical issues and interior issues. Also wanted the car wet sanded and buffed as it was recently repainted but not wet sanded.. They did scratch the lip around the front, but owned it and said they'd take care of it. To this day, the paint has not been corrected, they have done the wiring, as in their electrician checked it out and said it was now good. Car starts according to them. After MANY calls unanswered, text messages unanswered I have decided to do this review. I hate reviews!!! But, if it keeps others from going through what I am going through....so be it. I did tell them when they picked it up I am NOT interested in a show car. I want something that I like and SAFE to drive. Contract was for electrical rewiring, I provided the harness, paint wet sanding and buffing....interior panels, door skins, lizard skin the body, new carpet, NEW HEADLINER THAT ACTUALLY FITS THE CAR. And all cloth panels on the interior redone to match carpet and seats. I "did" say I was in no extreme rush for the car to be completed. But, 18 months is way too long for the amount of work they had, have to do. Last time I had any contact with them was DEC 24th. At that time I was told the lizard skin was going into the car. Then, on Jan 23rd I am told they are reaching the halfway point of the lizard skin. WTH? I want the car finished. I have been told the delays are due to other cars having to be completed ahead of mine, or for a rush timeline for various other reasons. The stories between the 2 differ widely. I just want the car finished!!!!!

Overall not a negative experience but unfortunately I'm not able to say it exceeded expectations or…read morewas perfect. TLDR; they won't ask, so make sure you tell them what you want. Starting with the great, the shop is nice and people are friendly. The work area was clean which is a good indicator of the care they'll put into your vehicle. The actual installation work in my car was good quality. Where things fell short is largely with communication. My install included a sub amp and an LC2i. The total cost, including parts as I did not provide any wiring kit, was $420. I believe 3 hours of this was for labor. I was okay with the price as it including all the install hardware and the install itself was done cleanly. However, I never received a quote or an estimate and was just told the total at the end when picking up the car. They finished at the end of their day and sent me on my way without really showing me what was done. Including where things were installed. The second lapse in communication is with the LC2i. When I dropped the car off I listed the components I had for them to install. They never called or asked where to install the LC2i or the amp. In my past experiences these ended up in the trunk so I didn't think I needed to be specific. They ended up putting the amp under the passenger seat, which is okay but not ideal. It's good that I can access the controls to tune the system but when the seat moves forward to let someone or my dog in the back seat, the amp is exposed to being stepped on if someone isn't careful. The LC2i unfortunately was hidden under the dash, like it's a high low converter. Leaving it completely inaccessible and i was unable to use any of the adjustments to tune it, or have easy access to the outputs for future expansion. I was disappointed that these locations were not seemingly thought through with accessibility in mind, and that I was not asked for preference before they decided to hide the lc2i. When I called back and spoke with Guy, he at first offered to move the lc2i for additional labor costs, but after hearing my concerns he graciously offered to schedule another appointment to have them relocate it free of charge. This was very positive and appreciated. I'm not always comfortable having someone "redo" work on a car, and instead offered to buy some additional gear so I could pay them to install those and have them move the lc2i while they were at it. They price matched/beat crutchfield on the items I wanted, which also great. But then the quote to install a jl audio rd400 and upgrade the component speakers in the front doors was $845 (for parts and labor). I had to decline the quote. I will say that while their prices ultimately aren't for my preference, the work was done well and they were reasonable when hearing my concerns. If you go with them, please over communicate instead of simply hoping for the best as I did and you should be left a happy customer.

I could never recommend that anyone come here. TL;DR -- Came here for a simple tire installation…read moreand had to be in the shop a total of 3 times, the tire size they installed was a terrible decision, damaging the tires from bottoming out on regular driving, ripping out my wheel well liners from the contact, then found out the shop left me without a spline tool to remove my wheels, and discovered almost two years later they damaged the TPMS sensor in my full-size spare. -- I came to Slug Off-Road after buying new wheels looking for their guidance on choosing the right tire size to avoid rubbing. Met the owner, Eric, on drop-off, and he mentioned I should consider installing a lift. We laughed it off and I told him maybe in the future, for now just want to upgrade my tires (and avoid rubbing). When my car was ready for pick-up, the tires installed were larger than I expected. He said he had larger tires available at the shop and upgraded me free of charge because they look like they fit better on the car. The short drive home seemed fine, but the TPMS sensors were not properly working. I was told to keep driving until the reset. Within a day or two noticed my car was bottoming out on bumps and felt dangerous to drive at freeway speeds because of the tires. Came back to get the TPMS sensors checked and the tires looked at again. The shop put in work on hammering my wheel wells to make room for the tires. I told them I was going on a long road trip and wanted them to assure me everything was good. They said we were all set. Next comes the worst drive of my life as my car continued to bottom out unexpectedly at freeway speeds on any minor bump, pot hole, or turn-- because of the tires. The new tires were getting shredded from the contact on the car, plus they were ripping out my wheel well rubber liners and they flew off or what was still left was hanging. Already far into the road trip on a holiday weekend, I drove the rest of the trip incredibly slow, most of the time with emergency lights in the right lane, and still bottoming out. After that weekend, I came back again for him to honor replacing the tires. He blamed it on Falken for sending him the wrong tires. (so you were sent the wrong tires, installed them anyways, didn't communicate that with me, then told me it was because they looked better?) Eric told me the issue was that I packed the car and it was too heavy. And that a lift would help (still upselling a lift). He replaced the tires and installed the tire size we originally agreed on. ** I know that his shop put in extra work on my car and had to eat the cost on labor and damaged tires, so I left it at that and didn't plan on coming back as a customer or writing a review. ** A few months later when I had my tires rotated elsewhere, they told me they couldn't find the spline tool. The new wheels I had bought used spline lug nuts, which Eric ordered and invoiced me for, included a spline tool. Searched the entire car and they did not leave me with one. If I was out in the mountains and needed to replace a tire, I would have been screwed. But you know what? All good. I didn't plan on coming back to Slug Off-Road or complaining to them again. I ordered a new spline tool and got my tires rotated. Now.. almost two years later, I had to use my full-size spare tire after getting a puncture in one of my tires. I had TPMS sensors installed by Slug Off-Road on all four plus my full-size spare. When I get the spare out to mount onto the car, something is knocking around loose inside. I get to a Subaru dealership to check it out, and they say it looks like whoever installed the sensor damaged it on install and that may have also caused the battery to MELT THE SENSOR. So.. two years after visiting Eric's shop, I am still finding reasons to remember to never come here again. He's active in the local community, comes highly recommended, and honors his word. I have nothing personal against him or the shop... but come on guys.. I could never recommend that anyone come here based on my experience.
