Great place to grab a drink - comfy, cozy small town feel. Fried black peas are also a good choice - unique! Our meals on the other hand was par at best. My girlfriend and I stayed in Tupelo for 2 nights over the weekend (Ole Miss/Alabama State game--Sadly for us, Alabama lost). We went to Blue Canoe on our first night and were blown away with the service. Tammy (our waitress) was soooo sweet and full of southern hospitality. There is a great patio in the back with bean bag toss (can't think of the name of the game) plenty of seating and TV. We ordered Cajun Edammame. (It was served in a mason jar/SOOOO ORIGINAL). And super delicious! We also had the deep fried avocado with crawfish and peppers. Who we thought was just a super friendly young bus boy, turned out to be the OWNER!!! He was so hands on and so nice and totally funny. We went the next night, after the game, and Tammy totally remembered us and made our Cajun Edamame even more spicy and we had a delicious burger and onion rings. Although, we weren't crazy about the live band, it was SUCH A COOL PLACE to hang out and eat. I wish we had a Blue Canoe here in Dallas. read more

I would not recommend going here. Waited 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that we were there. Then she asked if we were wanting to eat...well she said that we would be waiting for an hour for that. Oh my god this place. Beer selection is off the hook. So many great cocktails all reasonably priced. I believe the two vegetarian options I spotted on the menu both had bacon in them (the fried black eyed peas had bacon easily scooped off and I'm not completely sure if the caesar salad did or not). This is BY FAR the best restaurant in Tupelo. It has a fun divey atmosphere and an unique and diverse menu. The burgers and wings are great, but they also have some good Asian dishes and some fun twists on southern classics. I love coming and seeing live music and while I wouldn't call it "kid friendly" (because there are no high chairs and it's a bar atmosphere) they have been very accommodating when we have brought our children earlier in the evening, before the music starts. read more

Funky, blues shack atmosphere with a stage, live bands, regional craft beers and great food! The SmashBurger has chuck, filet and bacon in it! Not open on Sundays, and they can be both crowded and slow, but if you're not in a hurry, it's worth the wait. Stopped here to watch my college team play. Well was very impressed. They have a fairly decent list of beers with a good selection on tap including several Mississippi and Louisiana microbrews. The menu isn't extensive with typical bar/pub offerings. I went with the Smashburger which is a ground sirloin with Benton's bacon mixed in procured from a local butcher/eatery- The Neon Pig. The burger was excellent: a double patty that was juicy, the meat had a nice subtle smokiness that was imparted by the bacon. For those not in the know Bentons makes arguably the best bacon in America. The burger was topped with lettuce and tomatoes. I will definitely be back again for this burger. The accompanying fries were very tasty as well. I opted for the sausage cheese dip on the side which was a delicious dipping sauce for the fries. The place is a bit dicey but nice. Has a number of flat screens showing sports and a stage which I imagine is for live music. If you are in Tupelo I would recommend checking this place out. read more

Everything was great. The smell of bacon took over the smash burger. Maybe the could of precooked the bacon before he add to he ground beef. Adam the owner of this bar is so rude. I called to simply speak to an employee and he started to curse and said to call employee at personal phone number. I advised him there was no reason to curse I was just trying to get in contact with one of the employees, he told me to fuck off and call a different number. He continued to use foul language so I had no choice but to end the call. Surf and turf burger is two burgers tall and needs to be smashed to be able to get in my pie hole. Plenty of toppings to choose from also. Could only eat 1/3 of burger because I had to eat me fries with "crack" sauce first. Service is pretty good as well. read more

Definitely the best burgers and fries in town. The fries are fresh cut, double fried and just awesome. I have not had a bad meal here and the Connies Blueberry Donut Bread Pudding is so good it is sinful. I really enjoyed the duck as well. Great beer menu (too many IPAs - but that's just a personal preference) and though I don't eat them, watching folks consume the fresh crawfish when available is a treat. Fun local place in the middle of a bunch of chain restaurants. Great bar with lots of beer choices and specialty drinks. The food was far from bar style. They did have a great burger but there are many options on the menu if you wanted a full course meal. Grits , French fries, crack dip, and shrimp tacos were among the favorites. We always try and stop at new places when we are traveling, and this place did not disappoint. Not only is food absolutely amazing. I highly recommend spoiling yourself and getting some crack dip on your burger, or fries. The staff is supper friendly. This place is a gem! On our way back east from Arizona, my partner and I looked for places to stop and eat. The salad topped with salmon was delicious, and the crawfish bisque was eyes-rolling-mmm-mmmm good. Super friendly staff and excellent music selection made it hard to leave this place. Fried avocado wedges are awesome!! (They need a little salt.) Hubby had a burger and could only get halfway through it (unusual). I had duck confit quesadillas (amazing).
