Such good food!!! Their collard greens are made with their delicious smoky turkey; it's one of my favorite foods. All the sides are amazing, though, so it's hard to pick. The meat falls off the bone, soft and absolutely finger-licking good. Service was excellent, and the joint has a soulful ambiance that matches what comes out of the kitchen. There is parking in the back, so no stress about driving around looking for it. We shall be back.

Bludso's is popular for a reason! They do authentic Texas-style barbecue in LA. Bludso's has three different locations, but I went to the Santa Monica location. The other two locations are La Brea and Van Nuys. They have a variety of different meats to choose from including brisket, pulled pork, pork rib tips, chicken links, dinosaur beef ribs, and more. My favorite was the lean brisket since they trim off a lot of the fat. There is still fat within the meat, and it's still moist and tender! They have two different BBQ sauces, mild and hot. The hot wasn't too spicy, but I preferred the regular. We also got their Hushpuppies, which came out warm and crispy. It come with a BBQ aioli sauce for dipping. Make sure to add on some of their classic BBQ sides as well. I really enjoyed the mac and cheese and baked beans. They also have corn bread with a yummy honey butter. The best part is, everything is made in house from scratch! Friendly service! Their seating options range from smaller tables to larger tables to accommodate midsize parties and bar seating.

Mother's day cravings were beef ribs, it helps to make reservations here sometimes gets pretty busy, a little parking located behind the restaraunt. We ordered enough food to create a mountain of meat. Beef Dinosaur ribs are massive and the beef fat renders a lot, making it kind of "greasy" if you aren't used to it it may catch you off guard like it did for me. The brisket was similar to the dino ribs. Pork ribs were really good not greasy at all. Mac was good. When they served us we never really saw the server again, I needed water bad! The hot BBQ sauce was my favorite, they have a really good dill ranch thing that came with our rib tips appetizer that was awesome. Overall decent BBQ, come hungry because the helpings can be alot. Dining room ambiance was chill lots of tables.

Party of 4.... It was my first time dining here and everyone else's 2nd time. Soon as we walked in, we were greeted right away. The wait was about 2 minutes. There were plenty of open tables and booths. They also have bar seating options with TV's as well. Once we got seated, our server Daylin (I hope I spelled it correctly) greeted us and gave us a rundown of the menu. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some excellent recommendations. He was very attentive as well. Everything on the menu looked delicious. We ordered beef ribs, dry rub wings, brisket, salad, Mac n cheese, fried okra and cornbread. Where do I begin!? My absolute favorite..... the wings. Do not dine here without ordering the dry rub wings. You get the entire wing seasoned to perfection! Delicious. As for the drinks, they do have a nice selection of cocktails. I ordered the CC rita (made with Henny) yum! They have a parking lot in the back (free) or you can look for meter parking. Definitely give this place a try!

The barbecue here is one of the best you will find in LA. The brisket is slow roasted for 14 hours, and you can taste how tender that meat is. The lean brisket, is also super tender and really good. My favorite meat, however, was the rib tips, they are so tender, you have to get them! The mild and medium barbecue sauces that come with all the meats are absolute perfection, and they have a lot of dimension to it. The mac & cheese is incredible along with the cornbread. Service is fantastic here, they are so nice and friendly. They are extremely busy, but the food comes out pretty quickly, and our server checked in on us pretty frequently.

Great bbq. Staff super friendly. Enjoyed the Pics on the wall ! Rib tips super delicious. I asked for more celery to dip in the amazing dill ranch dressing. Super fresh dill. Mac n cheese really cheesy. Smokey flavored. Brisket sandwich great per hubby.

Best BBQ in the Los Angeles region IMO. Brisket was amazing and their collard greens are elite. Restaurant was clean and staff was attentive. Great service, drinks were refilled without having to flag anyone down. FIFA world Cup games were playing on the TVs. Solid lunch specials - $19 sandwich, 2 sides & drink combo. Excellent quality, I'd definitely come back.

Bbq cravings for a weekend dinner. We ordered corn bread perfect side dish for the juicy and tender baby back ribs. Hush puppies and loaded French fries these alone are filling. We got seated right away, serve water and server got our order. Music playing on the background while huge screen TV surround the wall. A very chill vibes family friendly restaurant serving comfy foods.

This place was okay, but honestly not my favorite. The chicken was very good, which we ordered on the side. The mac & cheese was similar to chic fil a. Corn bread was good but not amazing. Ribs were okay, but kind of dry. Everything came out Luke warm, not super fresh. Service was very friendly! Inside is warm and community friendly

Bludsos Santa Monica First of all other restaurants should come here to learn how to train your employees on service. Our waitress made us feel like family. So kind so friendly and courteous. I had to make this as I was eating. Our food literally came out like 5 minutes after we ordered it. The atmosphere, Sunday dinner all the way . I just felt like I was at home . Music on lock . It's bright and cheerful . The corn bread is like cake with a crunch . Fries crispy, hot crunchy. Beans are killer, Mac and cheese, whole other level . Smoked turkey is the bomb . That chicken beats my uncle's hands down and that's saying a lot . Lemonade not too sweet. Edith was the queen that provided us with a level of service that you don't even find in 5 star restaurants these days . Edith is employee of the month, period!!!!!!! You go Kevin!

I was in town for work and needed a quick lunch near my hotel. Bludso's popped up in my Yelp search and it was an easy choice! Plentiful lunch specials (dine in only) including a lunch plate for $25 (1/4 lb meat) with choice of 2 meats, 2 small sides. Meat choices are brisket, pulled pork and turkey. A sandwich for $19 with two small sides and drink with choice of brisket, chicken, turkey, pulled pork, brisket & hot link. Or salad and drink for $17 and choice between bbq chicken salad, or turkey Caesar. I decided to do the sandwich and get the brisket and hot link, with Mac n cheese, baked beans, and an Arnold palmer. Everything was super delicious, and the only thing better than the food was the service. I was blown away by how friendly and attentive the staff are here.

    Lunch anyone? Even have jackfruit!!
    Susan N.

Driving by and the whiff of the que! How can you not! They even have jackfruit for the vegans. The sides are the best! The music is on point! My 77 year old hubby was bopping along to the beats of Motown, Marvin Gay, Al Green! Oh he's happy and eating .... Awww, me and misses Jones is playing by Billy Paul! O. M. G. Keep up the vibes! Ok! Gotta go. Foods arrived. Burp! Food was on point. The greens need work, i should have asked how they're prepared, they were just not good. Lesson learned. No complaints on the staff. We were warmly greeted and able to pick out our own table with a smile. Our waitress, Daphny, was greattttt! She looked like a blast from the past, in a good way, of a person we know! Hey, I've a huge request!!! Yellow Mustard! I'm taking my bread and sausage home for the mustardddddddd sandwich tomorrow! That is all!

10/10 with best bbq food in west LA. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. No waiting time- can't recall the day we visited but they seated us fairly quickly. We ordered all the sides ofc! We also ordered brisket, ribs and sausage - this was sweet for me I like mine spicy but still very tasty this is subjective to your liking ofc so not going to discredit my review for the restaurant. I absolutely devoted my meal- btw this was a two person meal. I would highly recommend stoping by if your craving BBQ. We skipped out on the dessert, wished I wasn't so full for it. Thanks to the staff and manager for also checking up on us this is very rare nowadays so I always appreciate the small gestures.

I almost asked for extra dressing, it was that good. Made me want to try making my own version. The vegetables being edamame & carrots were tenderly cooked & lightly seasoned with care. The purple cabbage was crunchy & fresh. The white rice underneath hot and soft. Enjoyed the contrast of textures. Good sized portion too. So satisfied with this entree I declined the dessert which is rare! My bf ordered The Burger & cheesecake. He said it was good. I thought they looked beautiful. Since it's summer, I was so happy we sat on the patio instead of inside. We went around 7:45 PM and there was the perfect little breeze, which made the whole dinner even better. Everyone who works here is genuinely a vibe -- super chill, friendly, and welcoming. Alec was our server and we vibed from the jump! Now for the food because we ORDERED: Pacific oysters on the half shell -- honestly, you can skip these. Nothing wrong with them, but there are way more interesting things on the menu. Korean aguachile -- SO unique. The flounder was incredibly fresh and it came swimming in this cold kimchi broth that was tangy, refreshing, and almost gave me spicy water naengmyeon vibes. Crispy kimchi pancake -- a fan favorite at the table. The basil leaves layered on top added this unexpected burst of flavor, and there was a little mala element that gave the whole thing so much dimension. Chicken wings -- fried PERFECTLY. If you're only getting one thing from the small plates, I'd go with the wings. Chilled acorn noodles -- DO NOT SLEEP ON THESE!! Stone pot steak tartare -- my #1!!! The raw beef mixed into the rice was already amazing, but then you get that crispy rice at the bottom to soak up every last bit of flavor left in the bowl. So good. Beef short rib -- HOLY COW. Cooked to medium rare perfection. You absolutely need to order the assorted lettuces with it and make little wraps. One of the highlights of the entire meal. We finished with the strawberry bingsu and hotteok, which honestly made for the perfect dessert combo. Also, a little tip: corkage is only $30, so if you have a bottle of wine you've been saving or wanting to try, DEFINITELY bring it to dinner. Overall, vibes were HIGH. As a Korean, I loved seeing familiar Korean flavors used in ways that still felt creative and unexpected. The Mulberry gets the full recognition and stars it deserves from me, and I'll absolutely be back. The only thing that left us a little confused was the bill. There's a 20% service charge added, but it states that it isn't a tip and that they're a no-tipping establishment. We were also told that the service charge doesn't go directly to the staff, which made us wonder where exactly that 20% goes. I'd personally love a little more transparency around that. If you really appreciate your server, you can always ask if they have Venmo because Alec definitely deserved the love!

Sounds simple but there are many ways to screw up a burger and a salad. And there are fewer ways to knock it out of the park and they did just that. I don't think people appreciate what goes into a well-thought out salad. This was mostly a kale-based salad (I think) so they've already chosen the vegetable equivalent of making life difficult. Kale is basically a dare. But the size and shape and quality of the ingredients was not lost on me. The torn versus diced chicken, the large pieces of nuts, the long thin spears of apple. So you KNOW what is on your fork and what is going into your mouth and can appreciate it. What impressed me also was that when the table/booth next to us was vacated, one of the staff came over and DETAILED that booth... Looked for crumbs in the cracks of the cushion... pulled out the two chairs facing the bench and thoroughly swept under the table like he was opening up for the day or clearing a crime scene or something. Why can't we have places like this in the Valley? Is it because we are poor and mostly in-bred? I get it... but we like torn chicken and clean booths, too, ya know. (They had REAL candles. Not flicker LED fake candles. At some point all the restaurateurs had a pow-wow and agreed you do NOT let valley people get around real candles. If you're coming on a weekend, prepare for a crowd, but it's the good kind of crowded where everyone looks like they just came from a gallery opening. The Food: I'm still thinking about the Crispy Chicken Sandwich--it was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and came with a fennel-apple slaw that actually felt fresh. We also shared the Bacon Wrapped Dates (obviously) and the Hand Cut Kennebec Fries, which arrive in a bowl so huge it could basically be its own zip code. The Drinks: Their Happy Hour is arguably the best in the city. I had the Japanese Dream with matcha, and it was expertly crafted--not too sweet, which is my biggest pet peeve. The "Misfit" Moment: The service can be a tiny bit slow when it's "rammed," and there's a 4% kitchen fee that feels a bit unnecessary, but they make up for it with those complimentary sea salt chocolate chip cookies at the end. They are warm, gooey, and life-changing. One major heads-up: I heard a rumor they might be closing their doors on April 18th due to some landlord drama, so get there while you still can.

Everything was so flavorful! I really enjoyed every dish we got! If I had to choose some absolute favorites it would be the salad and the ratatouille! Both were incredible ( along with everything else). Finished the meal off with the pear dessert and a glass of port. Yummy! Great meal with family!
