The money is one thing, but the fact that a special day was ruined is something that is invaluable. I found this business on Yelp and contacted Elizabeth because I wanted something special delivered to my sister for her birthday. I let her know that it can be delivered anytime between 9-5pm and she let me know that it would be delivered sooner due to LA traffic. Totally fine. 5pm was the latest though and she knew this because my sister had a flight to catch. The birthday comes around and I message her at noon to confirm that the order was being delivered. We had agreed that a photo of the finished product would be texted to me prior to delivery so I hadn't received anything so I checked in. She told me that the cupcakes were just finished being baked and their graphic designer was finishing the banner. 4pm rolls around and I hear nothing, so I messaged her around 4:30 and she told me there were complications with the graphics. I don't understand this because it's a simple "happy birthday", but fine. I don't hear back and I ask what time they'd be delivered and at 5:46 she lets me know "they're ready to go and she can't wait to box them up"... mind you, these were supposed to be delivered at 5pm. At 5:55 she sends me a screenshot of the map showing it'd take an hour to get delivered... she kept mentioning that they can deliver to her home, but I had them delivering it to her work because I knew she'd be catching a flight right after work and wouldn't be going home. She kept saying the graphics weren't done, but I just ordered a small banner to go across the cupcakes that said "happy birthday"... and isn't this something that could be made in advance? At 6:12pm she texts me that she's putting the wooden dowels on it and will text me a photo when done. My sister was already running behind and I'm trying to see if she can be stalled... finally I politely asked her to just cancel it and refund me because I knew it wouldn't get delivered on time. She refused. I understood if they had left to deliver it around 4, 4:30 to our agreed time of no later than 5, but she wasn't even done with it at 6:12pm. She refused again to refund me. Her policy states that delivery times cannot be guaranteed due to LA traffic.. but if you have a time of 5pm and you're not even done with it at 6:12pm, it has nothing to do with traffic. So unprofessional. She even put the blame on me saying I didn't let her know the recipient had plans. What?!! And that I should have called her at 6:30? Wtf?! How do you run a business like this??!! Accept the fact that you obviously forgot and refund me my money. They were never delivered and she completely ghosted me. I paid $125 for something that was never delivered. She was so nice and charming when I initially contacted her. I was so excited to surprise my sister but it was all ruined. What if this was a wedding? She totally took advantage of the fact that I'm out of town. Unethical business. Don't waste your time or money.
