We stopped here after a little trip to a white peach orchard. We wanted to see if they had some nectarines. This fruit stand is located at a busy traffic corner. Highway 180/Kings Canyon Road which runs into Reed Avenue does not stop. Then you have the 180 hwy that turns east into the foothills. The fruit stand has some good shade around the stand. They also have a washing well next to the fruit stand if you need to wash your hand or wash your fruits that you've just purchase. There is also a bench for you to enjoy your fruit and watch as the traffic goes by. The stand has a good variety of fruits. However, be ready to pay higher than what you would pay at your local grocery store. There is plenty of parking around the whole fruit stand. The vendors are nice and friendly.

Had the best plum I've ever tasted, here. Worth the ride out, if you're close by. Was hoping for oranges, but didn't have any.

Stopped by as leaving out of Kings Canyon NP. Great dried fruit options. Can sample just about everything before deciding what to buy.

Best fresh fruit that is too ripe for shipment or too large for market. Well worth the short drive.

Last few times I drove by this stand is not open. I'm sure they moved because of the new freeway work. Can any one tell me if it moved somewhere else and where?

It's in its same address. Just turn south off 180 fwy onto Reed Ave. It also closes during the winter. Check with the staff for specific dates

On the way to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park, along a narrow stretch on 180, our cousin…read more(who was ahead by a couple of hours in front of us) told us to stop by this place. She said the peaches are HELLA sweet. It was around 1100 hours when we pulled in as it was a perfect time to get some healthy snacks as we had been driving since 0700 hours. I was immediately taken in by its charm. It's a nice little roadside store run by a nice family. The girl working at the counter said her family just picked the fruits just that morning; and I believed her. Just looking at the nice quality of the products made me want to get a sample of each. We ended up getting some peaches and figs, and boy were they ever sweet. My cousin wasn't lying when she said HELLA sweet. The place also reminds me of a Norman Rockwell painting with its small-town charm, quaint, cute and nostalgic feel. It's draped in American flags and one big Old Glory prominently hanging on the wall. There's also an antique weight scale, a fruit washing station and an orange juice - make that freshly-squeezed orange juice maker. Nothing like a freshly-squeezed OJ to satisfy your thirst. Yes, it's HELLA sweet!

Please don't forget to donate to help keep the maze going every year and to purchase something from the fruit stand. Also don't pick flowers from the maze! I saw a couple of people doing this and that ruins the experience for the people after you. The sunflowers were huge and super tall. We went at 9am to try to beat the heat and even then it was beyond hot.

Update: More emails…read moreand phone calls but no response. My account it still being charged every two weeks. This is getting ridiculous. Despite past reviews here about the lack of communication, we subscribe to the service for some organic produce on base since September of 2015. The reviews were spot on, really really horrible communication. We took a trip overseas and froze the account for a month, which was 2 delivery. It took 3-4 phone calls and emails to get the refund, and surprisingly, the boxes were not delivered while we were gone. It went downhill after that... The website doesn't have updated list all the time, so when they don't have something we requested, it's usually replaced with whatever. I mean, we had 3 bags of oranges for one week. That doesn't make sense, oranges for cauliflower and broccoli? It took 3 months to get one refund back when they couldn't get access on base during one of the Monday holidays. Now it's been almost two months since I've called and left emails trying to cancel the service. Have not gotten a refund and is still being charged. Would not recommend to other.

[UPDATE: I still have had no communication from FAD, but I did receive a refund in my Paypal…read moreaccount today. So, I'm adding a star to the rating.] I am all for supporting local businesses, and that's why I started service with this group. I paid $30.00 (auto-debit from my Paypal account) for 10 units of produce to be delivered every Thursday. I received two deliveries, and then I canceled the service. I was billed for the third delivery, but it was never delivered. When I emailed the company directly AND through the website, I received no response. It has been a full week, and still no response. I simply asked to either receive my third deliver or get a refund to my Paypal account. I have heard nothing, so I'm assuming this was a $30.00 lesson in "don't pay until you have product in hand" and "don't ever allow anyone to auto-debit your accounts, Paypal or otherwise!" As far as the produce goes, most of it was good. On the second delivery, I received a basket of cherry tomatoes that were overripe. About 1/3 of the tomatoes were split open and leaked all over the rest of them. I emailed the company about the tomatoes, but I received no reply. The carrots were very soft but usable. The avocados had a lot of black parts in them, and I had to throw one out altogether. I got corn on the cob in both deliveries, and I was very disappointed because it was perfect picking time for the corn, but the ears I received were very bad (lots of missing kernels, very uneven rows, and not sweet). The second delivery of corn like this is what made me decide to cancel. Most of the fruit we received was good, and the green veggies were good, too. I gave 2 stars because of the poor communication, poor produce (that was in season and should have been very good), and the fact that I never got my last (paid for) delivery after I canceled. My advice: go to the farmer's market.

There is a basketball activity, tether ball, coming back this year the corn pit, and a little farm stand that has your decorative pumpkins on it. So very cute. They have chickens you can feed there. Goats on the farm to see. Food trucks on-site you can purchase. In addition, plenty of outdoor seatings for families to eat their lunch. The farm has barrel rides for kids, and hayride for the everyone. There is a you-pick flower where you pay $15 to pick enough flowers for your case they give you. There is a new area for you to sit down and trim and arrange your flowers. Tons of pumpkins of all assortment to pick from. Super cute for porch displays.
