There were also a few packages of dried fruits and nuts. The guy working there didn't speak English, but he was really nice and friendly. He gave us some oranges to try and they were sweet and delicious. The tomatoes we bought from there were delicious as well. It had that homegrown taste and was very flavorful.

Took my time trying to get cute pictures. Soo helped just standing by the fence as the goats really liked him. Walking towards the stand I noticed the rows of striking flowers and tomatoes. Inside it was air conditioned on a hot May day. The paintings of the sunflowers really caught my eye, beautiful. They sell a variety of things including: honey, nuts, local produce and souvenirs. I've always wanted to check out the Vineyard Farmer's Market and just never made it over. It was my lucky day as I snuck over while my fiancé was at his appointment. The Vineyard is beautiful and it was a lovely sunny day, just a bit windy. I was surprised at all the vibrant and quality produce offered. There were other vendors selling honey, flowers, food, coffee - even La Boulangerie bakery from Fig Garden had a booth! I honestly felt transported elsewhere for a bit. It felt like a genuine Farmer's Market and easily my favorite in Fresno now. Everything I purchased from this quick visit- I loved. The pastries from La Boulangerie, the coffee from Fabiano, the strawberries I actually purchased from 2 farmers, notably Maos Farms were the sweetest we've had all year and the produce was beautiful and delicious. I eyed some grape leaves sold by an older couple- the last one was purchased before I could say, hello, lol. They looked delicious. Great quality items from local farmers and vendors. This is a beautiful family-owned farm in the Fresno foothills. I have been several times in late…read morespring/early summer to pick or purchase cherries, and just recently went with a group to pick pomegranates in the fall. I think they may also have a berry patch, but I haven't been for that. Mountain Brook Ranch is a great place to bring the family to enjoy some time outdoors and to pick fruit fresh from the tree. It is easy to spot from the road, and has a lovely farm stand right next to a gravel parking area. Depending on the season, the farm stand has jams and the seasonally fresh/ripe fruit ready for you to buy if you don't want to pick your own. They also have buckets and pruning shears to cut the fruit off the trees available for those who want to pick their own. Please note that usually only certain trees or rows are available to pick from, depending on which trees have ripe fruit and which trees they are saving for other things. Surrounded by beautiful rolling foothills, this is a great family activity, and a great place to take photos while you enjoy time outside. Follow them on Facebook to get updates on when they'll be opened and when fruit is ready. And bring cash or check, as they do not accept credit cards.

I went looking for Pluots, a California hybrid that is part plum and part apricot. When you get good ones, they are spectacular. Anyway, they had one box on hand, I bought a small sack and they are crap: flat, no flavor, no sweetness, no texture, the worst Pluots I have ever tasted. No self-respecting fruit stand would ever put these up for sale. So, the joint gets two stars from me and I won't be back. They did have some nice looking Polish Sausages in a rather unsavory and dirty-dirty self-serve weenie heater, so I got one to munch on. It was good, so the place is not a complete bust. But don't put it on your list for fruit as you will like as not be disappointed.
