It was a pandemic pivot…read more Since the Kaiser farmer's market would not be operating during the pandemic, the Berry Lady was without a Fresno outlet. She used Food4Thought, a company that had been delivering to nearby school districts, also shut down due to the pandemic, for her outlet. Worked for me as I was not comfortable going to Kingsburg to pick up blackberries and blueberries. Food4Thought has a convenient location out by the airport that was good for pickup once or twice a week. More produce was added. Fabulous fruit and veggie boxes were available. Bags of locally grown fruit could be bought at a low cost. How convenient, how healthy, how delicious. So, will Food4Thought continue to sell to the public after the pandemic ends? We will wait and see. I am hopeful.

We visited the home/farm and were welcomed by owners, Jay and Kristelle Anderson, to have a first hand look. We found healthy, free roaming (in an expansive citrus orchard) chickens who appeared happy (if chickens can be described as such) and very friendly. At the time, Krystelle was in the process of collecting eggs and Jay was about to clean out the chicken coop which appeared clean, tidy and well maintained. Lastly, it was "icing on the cake" to learn one can come by anytime, choose fresh eggs out of the fridge, and leave your money in the jar.

I also come here for Asian snacks, as they have the widest selection of Pocky, Peppero, Yan-Yan, Hello Panda, etc. This was the original store that we always used to come to for Asian food before it started appearing in regular grocery stores. They also have a solid selection of instant noodles, tea, boba, Asian dessert toppings, and pre-packaged drinks (they even have Thai tea, soju, and konjac jelly). The service is always good, the workers are helpful and quick to get you all checked out and packed up. I've had some not-so-great experiences here and there, but overall good. The store itself is very nostalgic for me, so I might be biased on an ambiance point-of-view, but overall I think the store is clean and easy to navigate.

They have a great selection of Asian groceries, fresh produce, snacks, and frozen items you don't always find at big chain stores. Everything feels fresh and well stocked. What I really appreciate is how easy and quick it is to shop here--no stress, no chaos. Prices are reasonable, and you can tell they care about quality and their customers. If you're looking for a solid neighborhood market with good products and great service, this place is absolutely worth a stop. I'll definitely keep coming back.

I had the watermelon and cantaloupe with tajin and it was delicious! It's a big cup and got me full at the end. This is a beautiful family-owned farm in the Fresno foothills. I have been several times in late…read morespring/early summer to pick or purchase cherries, and just recently went with a group to pick pomegranates in the fall. I think they may also have a berry patch, but I haven't been for that. Mountain Brook Ranch is a great place to bring the family to enjoy some time outdoors and to pick fruit fresh from the tree. It is easy to spot from the road, and has a lovely farm stand right next to a gravel parking area. Depending on the season, the farm stand has jams and the seasonally fresh/ripe fruit ready for you to buy if you don't want to pick your own. They also have buckets and pruning shears to cut the fruit off the trees available for those who want to pick their own. Please note that usually only certain trees or rows are available to pick from, depending on which trees have ripe fruit and which trees they are saving for other things. Surrounded by beautiful rolling foothills, this is a great family activity, and a great place to take photos while you enjoy time outside.
