You're not going to find any rif raf here at this motel from drug addicts and loud disrespectful people. You're gonna find Travelors, families, and people just rolling through for a good nights rest here. The refrigerators are really spacious as well!! The beds are super comfy for a good nights rest. Although the bathrooms for a single person are really small, there's still room in there to move around. Most of the items are up to date except for a couple of things that could be upgraded. Plus the heat works well and keeps the room nice and toasty. Everywhere has some cons: So I would recommend replacing the grip tape in the shower for protection of people like myself who are a fall risk. Also New England is starting to drop down at night but still gets hot during the day, so I would recommend fixing the window unit. I would recommend getting locked trash cans for outside, since we are in the woods and there are bears. Otherwise it's a really lovely homey space and I would definitely come back here!! Where should I begin?…read more Let's start from the beginning. This is one of two motels in Orange, MA with the closest hotel being 30 minutes away. That makes one's choices limited. As I went to check-in, the Manager (probably the owner) spent 5 minutes repeatedly pointing out that I had not indicated if I wanted a smoking or non-smoking room. I'm pretty sure the Priceline form didn't ask me this or I would have chosen non-smoking. Finally, I asked if there were no non-smoking rooms available to which he replied that there were. Then why the hell does it matter if I indicated this or not? It is completely irrelevant considering that there were like 4 guests checked in. He just wanted to make a pointless point by pointing out that I didn't select a smoking preference. It was crazy. Then, I went into my room and saw that there was no refrigerator. The only reason I chose this motel is because it stated that there was a refrigerator in every room. I went back to the front desk and asked if he could put a refrigerator in there and he told me to use the one in the lobby. I stated that I called and was told there were refrigerators in each room and that I needed one. He looked up another room, pulled the keys and threw them at me and told me I could move into the other room. So now he was hostile. I moved into the room two doors down and as I did, the Manager came out to watch me. Then, he instructed me to move my car down two spaces so that others could park in front of their rooms. Did I really need to move my car when only 4 people were checked in? He was crazy. The new room had hair all over the shower, which I just cleaned up on my own. It smelled like smoke and mustiness. There was a spider on the inside of the door. The towels were super cheap and hard. The toiletries looked like they were from a gas station bathroom. And there wasn't sufficient light in the room. When I went into the hallway the next morning, it smelled strongly of smoke. It was disgusting. Then, when my towels were replaced, there was a cluster of black hairs left on top of them. It was disgusting as well. I should mention that he took the full payment for all 4 nights up front. After two nights, I was involved in an accident and was admitted to the hospital. My friends checked me out and inquired as to how I could receive a refund and he told them to contact the booking company. When Priceline's partner Booking.com contacted them, they lied and said that I had not checked out early. What a sick f***. I end up in the hospital and he lies to keep my money. I finally resorted to going to my credit card company who issued a refund to me regardless of what he said. The manager is the biggest selfish a**hole I have ever met and I would rather sleep in my car than stay at this motel again. A better option is the Travel Inn.

For the price that we paid, we really couldn't complain :) Service desk was helpful and our ease of check ins and check outs were super easy. One thing that you should be mindful of is the parking spots.. it's quite limited so you might have some trouble parking in the inn's parking itself but other than that, there are many restaurants in the area you can go to for dinner! Outside, the woodworking around the windows is falling apart. Inside, it's dark and deserted. No one is at the desk in the evening. The rooms literally remind me of old westerns where the iron headboard bed is sadly crowded into the room and a sink is in the corner. Rooms come equipped with old15" (?) box style TVs. VERY depressing. The prices are WAY too high for what is offered, and if you cancel - even hours after booking - they will still charge you. Beware!!!

Location, location, location…read more.. That is about all this place had going for it. Located right between Zoar Outdoor rafting and zip lining it was super convenient to stay here for 1 night. Sadly, this place was a bit pricey for what you were getting. There is no breakfast included it is strictly lodging. There is tea and coffee though in the main living room. There is also a mini fridge and microwave should you choose to bring anything small. There are three bedrooms located downstairs I assume with their own bathrooms, though I am unsure because there is a bathroom downstairs that has two doors - one is accessible through the bedroom and one through the living room. There are three additional bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom to share. We stayed in the Millers room upstairs which had a queen bed with a small love-seat and a cot in the closet. There were fans and towels in the room. There were not much window coverings so the morning light would surely wake you up. The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were quite flat. Obviously, this place is a bit old and feels like your grandmother's house most likely. Wallpaper, flowery decor etc. I just can't give this place more stars because it only has the convenience going for it. There were some bugs and the wallpaper was peeling. It didn't feel the cleanest, but I know the linens were at least washed. The manager was very friendly as well. Overall this place felt more like $60 and not $90. I'm not sure if I would stay here again. If you're going to stay here, there's no traditional check in. At the side entrance on the porch there is a sign with your name and the room you're staying in. You let yourself in the house and find your room. All the doors are clearly labeled with their name. The key to lock your door is already in the door knob. ****CAUTION: make sure your key locks and unlocks your door before you shut it! We locked and closed our door taking our key out, but when we returned our key wouldn't unlock the door. Even though it fit in the keyhole, it wouldn't turn and unlock it. We were able to get in touch with the manager via a walkie-talkie hanging on a billboard in front of the Zoar retail shop. He helped us obtain the correct key. Breakfast: We drove about 15 minutes to Shelburne Falls and ate at Foxtown Diner. It is a bit overpriced, but it was really good and worth the drive. The town is also cute and makes for a nice walk.
