    Molasses Gingerbread Cookie Art
    Carly S.

Blooming Cakes is the best place in Marin for personalized baked goods! Trang is the creative mastermind beyond this small business and she thrives at delighting and leaving her customers in awe with any theme, flavor or dietary restriction they throw her way. Does your kid want a buttercream Barbie princess cake that's gluten free? No problem. All you need to do is send her a message and she will help you flush out the details. You can't find quality like this in a grocery store at such a reasonable price. Just look at the gingerbread molasses cookie she made for the holidays! Simply breathtaking.

Blooming Cakes made our wedding cake, and we were more than impressed. The pandan cake was unique and exceptional! Trang is an artist.

Mama needed some baked goods with her girl…read more I needed the fruit pastries! I haven't been to this location. It was cute inside and gave light, friendly, and stay for more carbs. The lady helping pick out pastries was patient and super helpful. Pro tip: don't arrive to late if you want the good pastries on the weekend. Definitely recommend.

I've been coming to Estelle's Bakery & Patisserie for years since I used to live only a block away,…read moreso it became one of my favorite places to walk to for tea and desserts. I've since moved out of state, but during my last visit in January this year, the treats and drinks were just as delicious as I remembered. This was always one of my favorite spots to spend a few hours catching up with girlfriends over tea and pastries. The ambience is lovely and gives off fancy tea party vibes, making it perfect for casual conversations, book discussions, or just relaxing with something sweet. My personal favorites are the rose macaron and the mont blanc desserts. If I'm feeling hungry, I usually order the ratatouille, and the vanilla bean French toast is amazing when I want something sweet but filling. Matcha is always my go-to drink here too (though it's on the sweet side, so I don't think it's ceremonial grade). I remember my first visit; It was when I stopped by later in the day looking for a birthday cake for my son's 8th birthday about five years ago. I ended up choosing their chocolate mousse cake on a whim since it was one of the cakes they still had on display, and it turned out to be a good decision. My son loved it, but it was too chocolatey for me so he ended up having most of the cake. Still one of the memories I remember most from here. It was something I kept in mind that if I wanted more options and variety, I should arrive earlier in the day. There are a few downsides that keep this from being a full 5 stars for me though. The parking lot is very small and street parking can be difficult, especially during busy hours. The place gets crowded very easily, which is why I usually preferred walking there when I lived nearby. There's often a guard stationed at the front kindly holding the door open, though I imagine that's also due to the neighborhood. Pricing is definitely on the expensive side, but honestly that's fairly expected with a patisserie. My biggest issue is that service can noticeably decline when they're overwhelmed. Depending on when you visit, the line can get absurdly long (almost out the front door), and I've experienced slower service and even had my drink mixed up with another customer's order once. Since I order oat milk due to lactose intolerance, getting the order correct is pretty important. Thankfully, when the bakery isn't overly busy and adequately staffed, the employees are attentive, friendly, and very helpful with the ordering process if you have questions. It is still one of the Sacramento bakeries I miss after moving away. It was so lovely to have a bakery down the street from home.

First time customer here and definitely will not be the last…read more Worth it? Yes! - Ordered a Lychee & Raspberry cake for a going away party in the smallest size available and for the price $, I would say it is absolutely worth it! Ordering: - It was super easy on the website and seamless which made it less stressful when ordering last minute (ordered 2 days before when it was needed which was their standard anyways). Delivery/ Pick up: - I decided to pick up rather than deliver (which could honestly turn into a nightmare especially if it is cake) right before they closed and it was convenient that they were able to contact me through text with updates. Better to pick it up yourself for that peace of mind. Customer service: - As I walked in, my cake was very much ready and the host greeted me with clear instructions of when to keep the cake out before consuming for best quality (instructions also included with the cake). They also wrote a letter that I've asked to be added on the side. Writing on the cake was beautifully done. Letter was nicely written, or typed? Packaging was very secure and cake had no chance of sliding around. Now to the cake itself : - Flavor was absolutely amazing. The lychee and raspberry could not be missed from every bite! It stayed moist and even after days, it was still fragrant and flavorful. - Easy to slice and serve with no mess at all. Each slice off of the cake was clean cut and it stayed pretty. Overall : Highly suggest Butter&! I ordered this cake was for someone else (who is not a huge cake fan but they LOVED it and enjoyed the flavor so much) This cake was cakin' even for its size. Delicious baking by the team at Butter& and I look forward to trying other flavors! I'm getting it for myself this time Thank you for fulfilling our night as well as satisfying our sweet cravings Butter&
