Lindsay made a showstopper of a cake for my son's fifth birthday, and we were so happy with her work! Communicating with Lindsay and getting a quote was a very simple process through her website. She achieved exactly what I was hoping for, and did a great job packing the cake for transport and tips on how to deal with the heat during my son's summer birthday party. My son was so happy with his special chocolate pirate cake, and even has a picture of it next to his bed. Lindsay set the bar very high for birthday cakes and I'll be back to hire her again!
I wanted a "Longhorn" cake for my son's groom's cake. I sent Lindsay a picture and she understood immediately what I wanted. I then pestered her with little changes I thought might look good and she immediately sent me mock ups of how the cake would look. I went with the original idea and it was perfect. The "burnt orange" of the Longhorn is VERY specific and I didn't even have to tell her. The cake was a huge hit, not only because it looked awesome but it tasted (red velvet) amazing. It was gone before you could go back for seconds! Thank you so much!!!!
Amazing cake, mini cupcakes, and service from Lindsay at Live Love Bake! Lindsay made my gender reveal dreams come true. From the execution of my design to answering my questions about flavors, colors, and frosting - everything was perfect! We had a 6inch cake and 24 mini cupcakes. The inside of our cake displayed the color blue in different shades and inside the mini cupcakes there was blue to indicate baby boy. Everything was beautiful and tasted amazing!!!! My pictures don't do justice but know I will definitely be using Live Love Bake again!
I ordered a cake for my baby shower from Lindsay and she took my vague ideas and turned them into something magical! She nailed our woodland animal theme and made the most adorable hedgehog out of frosting. Communications and pickup instructions were a breeze. The cake itself (vanilla sprinkle with strawberries and cream frosting) was delicious and everyone at the party loved it!!
As always Lindsay delivers. I had 2 birthdays and teacher appreciation to celebrate in 1 week. I phoned Lindsay and she made it happen. Thank you for making all my events special. Wether we are celebrating 8 or 40.
I cannot say enough good things about Live Love Bake. I contacted them to help with my daughter first birthday. Lindsey was extremely responsive when it came to planning, pick up was a breeze and the pictures speak for themselves when it comes to the end result.
I hired Lindsay to do a small wedding cake and cupcakes for our guests. She did an amazing job! We did a consultation where I got to taste her baking and she helped me figure out what I wanted and then she made my vision come alive! My guests commented that the cupcakes were great! I asked for rainbow and sprinkles but wanted to keep it classy, and she executed the project perfectly!
Lindsay did an amazing job on the cakes for our wedding! We ordered a 6" cutting cake for ourselves and two sheet cakes for our guests (almond with almond cream and vanilla with raspberry). We loved our cutting cake and many of our guests told us that the sheet cakes were delicious! Lindsay was wonderful to work with during the planning process. She was always very responsive to our questions via email, and our in-person tasting appointment was a lot of fun. We tried five cake flavors and talked through our design preferences. It was clear that she totally understood our vision and she never pressured us to have a larger cake. On the wedding day, we loved the surprise of her adding flowers (provided by our florist) to our cutting cake. Thank you so much, Lindsay!
I ordered a wedding cake with Lindsay and it was exactly what I wanted. Lindsay made the process easy; she is knowledgeable; her suggestions were great; she listens; delivery was on time! The cake was beautiful! All raved about the flavors. We had two different flavors under white frosting. The accompanying sheet cake was decorated with the date; a sweet touch. I will be using Live Love Bake again for my other children's weddings! Thank you, Lindsay.
WOW. Just wow. I cannot believe how perfect our cake came out for my father in-laws birthday. He absolutely LOVED it and it tasted amazing. Thank you so much! We will definitely be using live love bake for every special occasion
What an amazing experience I had with Lindsay and LLB. The process was so easy. I went to the website and saw some examples of what I wanted, sent her an email and she called me the next day. We discussed it, I paid online and I picked up the mini Minnie Mouse cupcakes and Unicorn cake a few days later as planned. I was so impressed, they looked amazing. It was seamless and we received so many compliments on the cake and cupcakes. Everyone said they were so cute, beautiful and most importantly, they tasted great. Thank you so much! We will be calling you again.
AMAZING!!! I'm a big fan of all types of cake, but the wedding cake that Lindsay created for our wedding was in a league of its own. Tasted amazing (we did vanilla and snickerdoodle) AND it looked stunning. We gave her some general ideas and a few photos for examples, and she took that and ran with it. The end result was even better than we imagined, and she topped it off with flowers that made it even more stunning. Thank you Lindsay!!! We'll definitely be ordering a mini version for our 1st anniversary :)

The cake tasted great and I loved the overall design and aesthetic. However, I felt the decorating looked a bit rushed. Some of the piping and details appeared uneven, and the lettering was not as neat as I was expecting. For the amount I spent, I was hoping for a cleaner, more polished finish. I also want to note that I followed all of the instructions provided for safely transporting the cake, and I live only a short distance from the bakery, so the condition of the cake was not due to a long drive or improper handling. It's still a good cake, but I wish a little more care and attention had gone into the final details. read more

I left a previous review, but I wasn't able to add photos with that one and I wanted to make sure and include some. Lindsay made the most adorable cookies for my 40th birthday. The theme was "A 'Tini Bit Older" Everyone loved them and they were exactly what I was hoping for. read more

A long overdue review of Lindsay and Live Love Bake which provided this stunning and delicious cake to compliment my partner's 50th Birthday Party's theme of "Woodsy yet Elegant" spread. I initially didn't contact her because her site said she was sold out for several weeks. However, in desperation, I wrote to her after many bakers in the area let me down with their non-responsiveness, leading me on with a first response, and then not replying to my questions. I literally was left within 10 days of needing a cake and was getting super worried. I was so delighted when she responded the next day saying she would see what she can do! I immediately sent her a list of 9 questions as well as a sketch of what I was hoping to see to match the feel of the event (see below). She responded and answered all my questions the next morning (she even apologized for the late response) I know other bakers probably are not used to seeing sketches, but I am a very selective designer myself and have ordered cakes for so many other occasions (never with a sketch), only to have been disappointed with their lack of understanding style, taste and presentation quality. A mid-century birthday is pretty big and I was determined to get something unique, delicious, masculine and gorgeous, and found it with Live Love Bake! To feed a small group of 22 people, I ordered a 9" single tier Yellow cake with a caramel drizzle and crushed sea salted butter toffee pecan filling, (pecans supplied by me), American buttercream frosting done smooth with gold pearls coming up from the bottom (also supplied by me due to the urgency). It was gorgeous, delicious, and just as I sketched! All I had to do was add the succulents to the top:) The next day after the party, a few friends contacted me asking for Lindsay's contact info. They loved the cake, which for Marin Foodies, is a huge compliment! I will continue to order all future special cakes from Live Love Bake and Lindsay's amazing understanding to detail as well as customer service! Lindsay-Thank you so much for your unbelievable responsiveness, amazing baking talent and fine artistry! read more

Solid wedding cake. Came on time and was easy to work with them. They decorated it well. People ate about half the cake and the other half was left but it was a solid velvet cake in terms of taste and the frosting was good. Wasn't too rich or sugary maybe a bit on the denser side as it was stacked. It made for nice pictures. read more

I would highly recommend working with Lindsay! I had her make a small cake and cookies to celebrate my mom's retirement. We used pictures of my mom, and sketches of her store and logo. Live Love Bake was EVERYTHING we dreamed our wedding cake could be! From the amazing tasting experience to the finished product, Lindsay knocked it out of the park. Please note that we are local and many family members are in the area. I say that because everyone had a recommendation, and we did our research. Soooo, we finally landed on Live Love Bake, and I think the only thing we would have done different is get a bigger cake because it was gobbled up! But, we have our topper and a bottle of red waiting for our 1 year anniversary. Again, thank you so much for meeting and exceeding every expectation. read more

I ordered cupcakes for a bridal shower and was thrilled with the variety of beautiful flower cupcakes. I asked for shades of pink to go with the decor and they were wonderfully colored. I don't usually like cupcakes, but these were moist and light almost like an angel food cake. Can't recommend more highly. read more

Lindsay was awesome! We were looking for a wedding cake bakery near Tiburon and every bakery was either to busy to answer our questions or they were to expensive. Lindsay was able to work with our budget for our small wedding in Tiburon. She listened to our ideas, she showed us ideas and pictures of cakes she had done in the past. She brought cupcakes samples to the appoitment and we decided right there to go with her. After we placed our order, we made a few chnges on the cupcakes decor, she was nice and made the changes. We are so happy we found her as our wedding cake baker. Everybody love the cupcakes, there were none left for us!!! I would recommend "Live Love Bake" to anybody looking for any event bakery, specially wedding. Thank you Lindsay!!! read more
