Hey guys. I would like to highly recommend guy named Oscar ( NUDJI) l think his original name. You ask for Oscar. I also work in hospitality services, lm a hairdresser - colorist. I have a lot of experience at the salon, and this is my first experience that guy did my pedicure and manicure. I'm high satisfied, Oscar is very neat and well skilled. Usually lm very ticklish, because ladies at other places whatever l was, all of them was very hash and strong during my pedicure. I did full spa pedicure this time l was just relaxing and enjoying. He give me also great feet massage and manicure. He make my treat the best experience l ever had! Truly! I think also that all the working people there are very talented and very good! Big GO for my future guy Oscar and for this place! Thank you Thank you Thank you read more

I have been here three times. Once to get a hard gel fill and twice to fix two nails that came off. None of my nails ever come off when I get hard gel elsewhere and they last 4 weeks or slightly longer. And when I had the gel fill initially they kept arguing with me that I had acrylic or that I had gelx. I told them I only get hard gel and visually see the product that is used. And they acted confused as if that's not a service they do. Then a woman finally pulls out hard gel in a bottle and does it but never asks what I'm wanting and just started doing things and I'd have to stop her to remind her what I asked for which was pretty simple, a soft french tip with the OPI funny bunny color. She filled down most of the hard gel from my last set and does a new hard gel set. The nails looked a bit off, not pretty like how my nails usually are done but okay enough for me to go out the door. I went in to fix the first nail, she shaped it super pointy even though my other nails are natural more so oval/rounded square shaped. She used the same hard gel in a bottle that she used the first time. My nail didn't match the shape of any of my other nails but once again I paid and left but this time very disappointed and confused. It was $10. I went in again to have another nail fixed that came off. I was quoted $12 this time, only 2 weeks later from fixing the last one so I'm pretty sure they just make up prices. I show the guy my nails and tell them it's hard gel. He files down my nail to a pointy shape as well and I show him my other nails and he tells me he doesn't know the difference between pointy nails and oval nails and can't tell the difference meanwhile he's a nail tech and 100% knows. Then he pulls out a large jar of pink hard gel. I tell him the last women used a clear hard gel from bottle and he tells me they only use the pink jar and that it'll match my nails. I explained it looked too pink instead of clear and he said well you didn't get your nails done here last time so this is different than what you're used to. I asked him what he was talking about and that they can easily see in their system 3 weeks ago and 2 weeks ago I was there and even the women who did my nails was there and can confirm. He the said oh and then had already put my hand in the UV light. After pulls it out of course the shape is off, the nail doesn't match my other nails and he proceeds to do a super thin french tip that doesn't match my other nails either. Overall he was very argumentative which matches the same vibe from the visit before with other women at the nail salon but they were at least kind, he was rude. Looking at the two nails they fixed from their first set and it looking nothing like the others is somewhat comical until I remember I paid for them. I have heard from 3 other people that they are not good at nails, the nails don't last, they don't clean their utensils, and that they are rude. I have no idea how they are open or have licenses to be honest. Do not come here. The reason it's easy to get an appointment is because no one wants to go here. read more

The most unhygienic place I have been to! Went to have a gel manicure here the other day. I cannot believe that they would re used acetone or whatever they use to remove gel. I was wondering the liquid they soak my fingers with where pinkish color when I have not even soaked my fingers there. I didn't ask, I just assumed it was, until Ana return it back in the bottle for Future use with others customers. WHO WOULD WANT ANOTHER's customer's used acetone!!! Disgusting! read more

I've been going to this nail salon since the summer and have never been disappointed. Lately I've started booking with Simon. He gives an amazing manicure and pedicure and his massages are better than any I've ever had. Highly recommend the salon and Simon in particular. Always a lovely experience. read more

Amy was so incredible! I had very limited time and she was able to do a perfect dip nail set so quickly and they were flawless.

Consistency and good customer service is crucial for any service based business, and unfortunately my latest experience here fell short on both. I've previously had a nice pedicure here where the technician was friendly and she also did great work on my calluses. This time I had the older bald man, who rushed through the pedicure that was topped off with oil instead of lotion at the end, which also was odd. I won't be coming back here. read more

The only time that I've received consistent beautiful manicures is when I go to Vivi. I get a dip manicure and have been doing so for a long time. When I go to Vivi, it is five star service. I've gotten good manicures from Nelly as well. I think the manicurist name is Amy. I unfortunately didn't have an appointment with Vivi, and she said she could do dip manicure. The service was poor, the dip was unevenly distributed and lumpy, and she cut my cuticles and made me bleed. She was asking questions in a different language, and didn't seem to understand when I said "ouch" multiple times. I left with the service unfinished, and the manager (older gentleman) said I did not have to pay and that they could fix it. I told them I needed to wait until I no longer had open wounds on my cuticles for any sort of removal and redo. He told me that I should have made an appointment. The second time that unfortunately received a service from Amy, it was for a soak off. She seemed annoyed to look up (while sitting at the reception area), and just said "$20". I told her I know how much it is, and she sat me down. She started trying to use the roughest drill bit to rush the service, and I told her that I'm not comfortable with her using that drill so close to my natural nails. She then put my fingers to soak in the sonic cleaner, but rushed hand filing. Soaking does not take more than ten minutes. The product wasn't even fully off my nails when she got up to get the receipt and charge me. She did not offer a hot towel or cuticle oil, nor ask if I wanted the nails cut. When I pointed out to her that she had not given me a hot towel or oil, she went back and I told her it was not necessary. When paying, she asked me how much I wanted to tip, and I told her she didn't finish the service, and she walked away. I wish I could rate the entire shop based of the manicures I get from Vivi. But when I can't even have the most basic of service with other people, it makes the shop overall not a pleasant experience, especially for the price point. read more

Very sweet people, helpful and patient ( bc it always takes me too long to pick my colors!). Marilin did these and obviously i'll be back for my next set from her soon :D love this place! read more

I went here for years - ever since they opened. Their prices have increased & they just don't care to do a good job anymore. I had the fastest pedicure in my life, along w/ my boyfriend, and they did the absolute bare minimum with no work on calluses & shoddy work on cuticles as well. When asked about it, we just got a blank stare. I'll never go back. read more

Way overpriced for the quality of the services. They will also try to up charge you for everything constantly.

I've been going here for years on and off (I live in miami now but come back to New York regularly). Looking at other reviews, I don't know if most of the people that come here are high maintenance or what but I mean the prices are reasonable (only a couple dollars more than I pay in Miami for a pedicure, which I can't really say about many other things) and it sounds like a lot of people want to be pampered as if they're paying in bars of24 karat gold. The service matches the prices, both of which are good. The girl at the front was pleasant and so was my tech. I was happy that it was fairly quick because I had things to do. The massage chairs are high quality. Many colors to choose from. I will be back :) read more

I used to go for the powder dip manicure but I will be finding another nail salon. So to remove the old manicure the soak your nails in a metal bowl full of acetone that heats up. Once I was done I noticed the technician putting the same acetone I just soaked my nails back into the acetone bottle. Its gross and has to be some type of health code violation. I also noticed they quote different prices for different customers. read more

Horrible, horrible service. I went for a powder manicure and it started chipping two days after. When it came time to take it off, I called them and asked how much removal would be. They said "a couple dollars, but if you get a service it's free." I specially asked if I could get a regular mani, and he said yes. I called later to book and they tried to charge me an extra $5 for removal. Do NOT trust them. read more

I don't want to sh*t on any business during a pandemic, but I need to speak up about this. I haven't had a manicure in almost a year and went to this place for a gel last week. The technician aggressively cut my cuticles (without even asking). One was cut so deeply it took days to heal and was super painful. Then a couple days later I developed an infection next to one of my other nails. Pus is currently coming out of it. I paid $50 for this?!! The least of my issues is that my gel manicure looks like total crap after only a week. Don't go here! read more

Ever find yourself in Manhattan searching for the perfect nail salon? And your biggest concern is whether or not you'll walk away with annoying cuts or bruises? There's only hundreds of options to choose from in this great city and the best manicurist/pedicurist is tough to find. That's what happened at Bloomie Nails the other day. I came in out of convenience, needing a bi-monthly mani/pedi. My feet, toes and finger nails get to be a nightmare in this dry weather. I wanted to like this place so much more or give it at 2.5 rating but just didn't have the best experience. Walked in and got a seated at one of the many stations. The manager was nice. "Would you like water?" Yes "Would you like wine?" No "Do you want 10 minute massage?" Sure "Do you want callous removal?" And here's the thing. Sure, but isn't that already included in a pedicure? No - additional $10, please. Every salon has a different process. At Bloomie, they snip your nails first and then submerge your feet. Same with hands. I prefer it when you've at least gotten a pre-soak and nails are easier to cut. But this lady wasn't having any of that. She seemed rushed, impatient and, of course, there's a language barrier. In the process, she went a little too hard, as I feared, and sliced the area between my toes. When I signaled that it hurt, she acted all surprised. By the time she applied the callous removal, I realized I was having some allergic reaction to the cream or filament. After 3 minutes with it on, my feet started to burn. Realized there was a bruise on bottom of my feet - soaked my feet in the lukewarm water. She removed too much skin. The manicure portion was much better. And I had no complaints. Needless to say, I was not comfortable after that. She offered a 10 minute massage which I gladly accepted. Unfortunately, she was again too rough and I walked away feeling worse. And the whole thing was about $60. read more

Opens at 9:30 am, first one and only one there. She rushed through my nails but did a decent job. Nail polish was as expected and she gave a nice hand massage. I wouldn't go back to this one unless I needed to get them done that early again. Just an average experience. $38 for Gel Nails read more

There is no other Salon that I use here in NYC than Bloomie Nails and Spa in Chelsea and have been a customer for several years. I have both a manicure and pedicure regularly. Simon is my "go to" guy here, he is simply the best! He takes his time assuring that my nails and cuticles are cut and trimmed just the way I like them and the calluses on my feet are removed perfectly and his foot massage is certainly the highlight of my visit. Simon is top notch, I highly recommend you give Bloomie Nails a try and ask for Simon. I'm sure you will be a repeat customer like me. Enjoy! read more

My platonic life partner in crime and I needed some pampering. Me: "Mani/pedi?" Him: "Yes!" Off we trudged in the cold to Bloomie to get our fingers and toes fixed up right. After deciding on the unfortunately named but beautiful shade of "pepperoni" I settled into a massage chair that worked out the week's accumulated kinks. My nail technician was friendly and concentrated diligently on the task at hand. Almost a week and five intense games of bowling later, my nails are still looking quite nice. Doubtless there are cheaper options elsewhere but for a mani/pedi in my 'hood you'll likely find me here. read more

Great spot in Chelsea. I used to be a regular at NY lovely nails which is across the street, but this is my new go-to nail salon. You can get mani/pedi for 25-30 bucks. Gel manicure a bit more. They have all the shellac, Essie, and OPI colors. They also have eyelash extensions, waxing, and massage area. I always get shellac manicures, but today I did a regular mani/pedi and it was the best ever. My manicurist cleaned and filed my nails to perfection. She also gave me the best pedicure and scrub. Sometimes when you get your nails done in nyc they try to rush you, but not here. They put a 110% effort. My friend also got a 20 min chair massage for $15.00 and she said it was great. My favorite part is that you can bring in your doggie if they are small and have them sit with you while you get your nails done. Great spot in Chelsea! read more

The other day I was looking for a salon to get a pedicure when I was downtown shopping. I heard about Bloomie, so I decided to check it out. Never again! Cici did my toes and did a horrible job and she rushed the entire time doing my toes. I completely regret paying for such poor service. In hindsight, I will certainly look at reviews before going to any nail salon and/or just wait to go to my favorite nail salon who I never disappoints me. read more

I really want to like this place but there are serious issues. Last time I was there one of the technicians used the bathroom and didn't wash their hands after and came right out and started giving a manicure to a customer. He also went into the bathroom with gloves on and came out with those same gloves on. This is also all during the COVID pandemic. I got a manicure and watched the girl getting a manicure next to me have a much better experience. She got a nice massage and was able to use a portable drying machine during the process. I got none of this and found my technician was not very friendly. The service should be consistent. read more

TERRIBLE!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! First of all I got the worst manicure I've ever gotten. I needed a mani ASAP so I booked this place, down the street from my apartment thinking it was good. And I unfortunately did not read any reviews. I showed the man doing my nails a picture of what I wanted. Simple. No designs. Just skinny square. He cut them too short but whatever I didn't care that much so I didn't say anything. They look like shit. Too fat. I asked for skinny square and they look like duck nails. Then I went to check out, clearly unhappy, and he said $105!!!!!! $105?!?!? FOR GARBAGE? I'm never going to this place ever again and I seriously recommend no one does. The place was a ghost town which is a red flag in itself. I could hear outdoor conversations clearly. He was rushing. Probably was going on break after my set was complete. I'm so disappointed. STAY AWAY!!!!!! read more

I thought that I found a gem in the city and my initial experiences were good -- my technician seemed excited to try ideas that I wanted and I was happy with my nails. But, as time went on, service got worse. Maybe they got comfortable with my business. I now have nails that are cracked, frail, and ruined from being drilled into post-gel manicures (after I asked if it would ruin my nails and the technician assured me that it wouldn't). The last few times that I went, the service was sub-par and rushed. And the last time was the worst experience I've had -- the technicians tried to rush me by doing my manicure and pedicure at the same time then had an attitude with me and yelled at me in front of everyone about soaking my nails while I had a puppy in my lap. Just an FYI -- people usually go to these places to relax, not be rushed. I wanted to do a specific color and they didn't have any of the colors that I wanted and my technician didn't care to try. I decided on a matte black, which isn't what I wanted at all, and my nails ended up ruined by the end of the night because they hadn't dried by the time I was rushed out. Plus, one of my toenails had cracked between services so they dipped my toe in a powder that I'm pretty sure they're dipping your nails in -- not sanitary! I took off the matte black eventually and on top of my nails being frail and ruined, they still have gel on them that wasn't taken off before -- basically, they caked polish on gel instead of removing it correctly. Overall, horrendous experience. I am not going back. read more

Great for your routine mani/pedi but I wouldn't go here for anything special. I had my eyebrows waxed here once, and I was expecting it to be a horrible experience as soon as I saw the back room where they do waxing. I would have changed my mind if it were anything other than my eyebrows, but it ended up working out all right. She listened to my requests on how I liked them done and did an all right job. I'm always afraid they'll take too much off, but I was satisfied with how they came out. One negative though... when I got a pedicure here once, I asked to wrap my feet in saran wrap when I was leaving. They refused and told me to put my nails under the dryer longer. I had to be somewhere so pushed back until they finally gave in. I don't understand why that was such an inconveniencing request! Like I said, Bloomie's is good for the routine stuff... a standard mani/pedi, cleaning up your eyebrows, chair massage, etc. But I wouldn't go here for anything out of the ordinary. read more

My go-to spot - have gotten 10+ gel manicures here and always super happy with it. Thanks to the great staff.

I've been here twice so far. It's been over 3 weeks and my pedicure still looks good. I've been showering and washing my feet everyday but the polish is still on. The manicure lasted about 2 weeks which was a long time. I recently got another manicure and the polish hasn't chipped yet. They do a pretty good job. No complaints from me. read more

The only reason I am giving this location 2 stars is because the establishment was nice and the other nail technicians were sweet. However, my experience with this place was HORRIBLE and the manager is a nut job. I went before having to go to an event. I usually get use thread (havent waxed for years) and this shop only does waxing. The manager convinces me that she will make my eyebrows beautiful blah and blah. While she's prepping the wax i'm telling her I DO NOT LIKE THINNED EYEBROWS. Not listening she keeps speaking of her 20 yrs expertise in waxing.... Ends up waxing off the inner part of my eyebrow and thinning them. I request for a refund simply because she was only concerned about her "expertise" and not my request. Refuses to give me my refund saying "i know your kind you go to other stores and do this" for $12? HAHAHA. claimed she's psychic and after 3 of her employees verified that that waxed my inner brow off, she screams (whole salon could hear this argument) sits down, refuses to give me my credit card and says she's going to call the police on me..... LMFAO Next day, I wake up to 1/5 of my eyebrow gone along with a huge burn under the same brow as if I was burned with a curling iron. Luckily I went back to show the horrid brow and the employee who was originally trying to refund my money gladly did when I returned. She was sweet and kept apologizing. The manager wasn't there this time. And how about the manager forged my signature on the original receipt. (and you want to call police? HA) Sorry so lengthy but I feel if you read a review you'd like to know deets! One client leaving explained she heard it all. "I was feeling bad for you. I wasnt understanding why she wouldnt give you your money back" also mentioning it is her least favorite nail salon; she just goes because it's up the street from her. So I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. A business having a manager that is clearly racist, not concerned with the customer's request, and who is too prideful to understand principle, doesnt need business. read more

Of the 500 or so Bloomie's in Manhattan, this one is closest to my Platonic Life Partner in Crime's. I was reminded of the simple pleasures in NYC this last week in her absence and how they seem unavailable to you as a tourist but so ready for you as a resident. The staff here were nice enough with my bumbling ways which is why I did not completely fall off my salon chair when they told me the price: $49.50 for a mani/pedi. Maybe the Bay Area isn't as expensive as NYC afterall. read more

Surprisingly, I had the worst manicure and service I've ever had in New York here. I don't usually come to Chelsea for manicures, but I was in the neighborhood and had heard great things. So I walked in an hour before closing time. The place was empty. Unfortunately, the lady who did my nails seemed to hope it was going to stay that way and made that abundantly clear via the following: 1. Hack job on the polish and filing. I have nail polish all over my hands, and this is after the lady had to do several nails over. At one point, I asked to just grab the file myself - a first for me - because it was getting frustrating to watch her not trying and being upset with me for just being there. 2. No attention to the customer. She wasn't looking at my hands while filing my nails and cutting my cuticles. And as expected, she filed them into wonky/no shapes and cut me right in the finger, and even after that still paid attention only now and then. 3. Questionable attitude. She kept muttering things under her breath the entire time, which only got worse after I asked her to file off a hang nail and put the polish on the whole nail. She was so visibly annoyed with me that the manager came over but didn't say anything. I get that it's not the greatest job in the world and it was late, but I am a paying, polite customer. I realize that these women work hard and it's not their dream job doing nails for little money. I still left a sufficient tip but had to do so with the manager because my lady had apparently already left. The manager wouldn't acknowledge my comment that her employee had done a disappointing job. She told me my nails looked fine and proceeded to close the store. I will not be back here. read more

I had a mani-pedi done here and the service was great. The atmosphere was wonderful and pleasing to the eye. I really appreciate the well thought out space because I feel as though I'm getting what I pay for. Nicole, my beautician, was a little tough on the cuticles and made me wince a little but she was very attentive to my reactions. I was on the phone a lot and then read a magazine in peace. The women there dont gossip in their own language and they all spoke english fluently. I also liked that there aren't any loud televisions around to make the place feel crazy and bombastic. And while you dry, you get that good ol' quickie massage. I really loved Nicole's tough hands during this part! My mani-pedi looks great and I had a wonderful experience. CASH TIPS ONLY. read more

The only reason I haven't given this lace 5 stars is because I have only been here once and I don't believe perfection is that adult judged. However, I made a point of writing a review because this place is a gem in a city full of nail salons with rushed service, in personable workers & ridiculous prices. I walked in at 8:30 on a Tuesday night and a nice young lady by the name Esme took care of me. I like the fact that I wasn't rushed despite arriving just an hour and a half before closing. They ask all the right questions concerning preferences (I.e. Nail length, shape, gel or regular). The best part of all they don't try to up sell you on additional services that you didn't ask for (I absolutely HATE that. No lady I don't want a $55 spa pedicure with sea kelp and vanilla bean. I just want a regular mani-pedi!) Good paint job, pretty speedy work, and pleasant enough demeanor. In Manhattan that's a great find. I will be going back. read more
