Truly a GREAT nail salon. I got a gel mani and shellac pedi and was blown away by their customer service. This is a small Chinese run nail salon with a focus on efficiency and details. Every step was perfect and they did a great job. Their foot scrubs and cute foam flip flops they give you were also a plus. The only recommendation I would give is to make sure to seal the free edge and switch up the music. You guys play the same kids song on repeat. Definitely recommend! Call in beforehand for an appointment and bring cash.

By far my favorite nail salon in the city! I don't know how she does it, but my nails (gel) last perfectly for a month after Amber does them! She's also the sweetest and so talented with designs, and the prices are very very reasonable. Love Astone Nail Lounge!

Update: Came here for a dip powder manicure before I got engaged and so glad I did. Amber did an amazing job on my nails and they looked absolutely perfect for my special day! Best place to get dip powder nails, I won't go anywhere else! I've gotten regular powder manicure ($45) and with tip extensions ($65), and they have lasted at least 3 weeks. The manager, Amber, is wonderful! Call ahead and make an appointment as they are usually busy. I just wish they had massage chairs for pedicures, but other than that, this place is excellent!

I cannot believe I found such an awesome nail salon that offers reasonable pricing! Every where else I called told me that getting gel nails (extensions/acrylics) would be between $85-$110... Astone's pricing was $50-$60 (I can't remember). I ended up getting just a gel manicure and regular pedicure (with gel polish removal for both) and it came out to $72, without tip. They were great with the service and paid attention to detail for sure. It's a small salon so be sure to call before coming in to make sure you don't have to wait. Plus, they give the business cards where your 10th visit is free. 10/10 would come again!

Great little neighborhood nail salon! Amber is super sweet and always remembers me every time I come. She's also great with nails, as are Shawn and Karis. All the technicians are friendly and efficient, but I recommend making an appointment ahead of time, since the times I've come, I've had to wait even with an appointment. Plan ahead and tack on some additional time to get your pamper session, and it will work out fine! I usually get the regular mani, occasionally a pedicure and have gotten gel mani/pedis (which were excellent and lasted over a month!). All quality work, and they have a good variety of colors to choose from. Astone is clean and welcoming, and from what I've seen, they always use clean and sanitized equipment and new files, buffers and hot towels for each client. They also add the personal touch of offering you tea and a quick shoulder massage after your nails are done. Decent prices given the area, and they offer a punch card for regulars. Get 10 services and you get a regular manicure for free! My only (small) gripe would be the extended wait times even with an appointment... but given that it's a small salon, it's understandable... plan ahead and allot yourself the extra time, don't go when you're in a rush and you'll be fine!

Update: I've been coming here since September and wanted to post an updated review because of how pleased I am with my nails every time! The experience itself is amazing - I usually schedule through Yelp and Amber, the manager, recognizes me as soon as I get there. The staff is incredibly cheerful and they have an awesome selection of polishes and SNS powder which is what I always get. They take a lot of care when removing previous dip powder and soak the powder off for a bit to ensure the removal will be a smooth process. The dip itself is great - it doesn't take very long and they are very skillful with the layers that they apply so that it always looks natural on the nails. I would highly recommend this place! I always leave with amazing, long-lasting, well taken care of nails and I look forward to each visit!

While I was in the city for a mini vacation! I really needed a pick me up so I decided to go get my nails done and I found this place on yelp. I decided to give it a try especially because I was two blocks away! I called them before I showed up and they took me right away I was literally like the only person at the nail shop. I did the lavender and mint spa pedicure which was amazing something I really liked about this place was that they had a 10 minute massage that they time with a clock! So you know you're getting your moneys worth. Well I was there I decided to get a Mani and well my nails were drying they gave me the option of giving me a massage which of course you pay for but I definitely said yes and while my nails were drying I was getting a back massage that was super amazing!! I wish this place was close by to me because I would seriously go every two weeks! And they are super reasonable I think I paid everything with tip $60! I definitely would recommend this place especially if you don't know the area!

It truly creates a relaxing atmosphere. However, I've noticed that the quality of the mani & pedi has declined over the years, which has made me hesitant to return, even though it's in the most convenient location for me. These days when I returned, it's just for last minute color change to avoid more damage. I referred a friend to join me for a mani/pedi once, and she also mentioned that while the ambiance is great, but the owners should get their own mani & pedi done by their technicians, which I completely agree with. While I usually don't like getting my cuticles pushed or cut, I really appreciate that they respected that preference. However, when it comes to removing polish, it's done very recklessly with a lack of attention to detail. On several occasions, they've scraped the skin around the nails--sometimes cutting it to the point where it bled and required a bandage. When I mentioned this to the hostess after she asked for feedback, she dismissed it by saying I have sensitive skin. Since when is it normal for skin to be scraped during a mani/pedi? Additionally, I've had gel mani here twice in a row, and the technician over-shaved to the point where my nails ended up paper-thin that I have to ask the technician to apply extra coats to make up for it. One time, the technician even touched my skin with the machine that is used to shave the gel polish off. I've also had my skin scraped during pedicures, which is concerning. Every time I get a gel mani, within two weeks, the polish would start to lift on the cuticle side, which shows a lack of precision during the application. My friend got a regular mani & pedi here, and one of her nails chipped within a day. While I still love the atmosphere and the owners, the decline in the quality of the services, especially regarding polish removal, nail care, and attention to detail, has made me hesitant on coming back.

The interior design of the space is what pulled my attention when walking up 9th Ave. It is chic yet accessible and never approaches being or feeling gaudy. Very clean look (and space). Great color palate used. Very comfortable chairs. Good use of white space accentuated with green angular paint and golden decals and other ornamentations, all done minimally and with purposeful placement. Carmen (my nail tech) made good efforts and took obvious care to give me a nice buff manicure, all for only $27 (+ a small amount of tax). No nips or cuts. No pain. Textbook technique. Picked up well on when I wanted to zen out to the aura of the space and the well-curated spa playlist vs when I was open to a little nail tech kiki. Loved the sugar scrub they use for the hand massage. I take ownership for not getting the pre-cuticle work nail soak as part of the provided service. IMO, if a nail salon doesn't automatically incorporate the soak into your mani, you as the customer should speak up when the softening gel is pulled out and before it is applied. If they don't offer it? That's another thing. But I didn't test those waters and cannot speak to Nail Me Right (goodness gravy I love the business name!). So, keep in mind if the soak is your thing. They were very accommodating from the moment I arrived until I left. So I have a hunch this request wouldn't be a problem. Same with the end result. You as the customer are responsible for checking your nails / hands / feet / whatever before ending the appointment. I was late for my next appointment and did not, later seeing I would've like a little extra work done where the far end of nail edges meets the finger and a shinier buff applied. Again, I am quite sure Carmen would have accommodated had I done my part and spoken up before leaving. Still, I woke up the next morning to those slight extra bits naturally working themselves out (which points to the moisturizing measures NMR applies being of good quality), and my hand looking nice. I plan to pop in next time I'm in the area and in the market for some nail / hand / foot love, and hope you'll consider doing the same to support this family and what they're working to bring to the neighborhood.
