Great salon nice people there but I've never experienced this and I don't think a gel base coat was put on my nails. Following up on this because I literally had to get this work off my nails. I've been consistently getting my nails done here for the past 2-3 years with Ada. Before trying Russian gel, I was never able to grow out my natural nails. My nail cuticles bled during the appointment. The tech went too aggressively and hurt my cuticles to the point it bled and I voiced my concerns and she said they always do it this way. My fingers burned with the chemicals and I'm very worried of an infection. I was coming here but will not be coming back. read more

If I could rate this place a 0 I would. I came in on a Sunday after making a reservation and immediately was disappointed in the fact that the staff had no respect for my reservation vs all the walk ins they attempted to service simultaneously. The nail tech who was doing my nails was rushing through my powder dip nails and didn't cure between the coats for the full 60 seconds. I pointed it out to her and she said it was fine, completely gas lighting me as if it won't result in a weak manicure. Disappointed with the service, but I tipped, hoped for the best and left. By the next day, I already had 3 chipped nails. I called to come in to repair them, made an appointment, and of course that meant nothing. I got there at 4:30 and was seated until 5 when I finally asked the same nail tech from Sunday when someone was going to fix my nails. The nail tech took the powder off (while standing over me) which felt odd, and then I told her I was here bc she didn't cure my nails right. She lied and said it wasn't her (I had to laugh lol)... From there, another nail tech came over to finish my nails, 3 other people who had walked in after me were already serviced and left. Unfortunately, this nail tech not only was extremely sloppy but didn't cure between the powder layers at all. Please respect yourself and your time by avoiding this salon. read more

Great spot in Murray Hill, my new go to! During the day they're never too busy so you can walk-in no problem and they're nail techs are very detail oriented. I always ask for difficult nail designs and they do it until it's perfect! Also highly recommend the 10-minute massage add on and callous removal add on. They really prefer if you pay in cash! I'm 7.5 months pregnant and went for a gel removal and regular manicure before my baby shower. I got there and was told the removal was $10. Part way through I started to feel lightheaded and sweat thinking I was going to pass out. I told the woman and asked if she could just finish the removal and I'd forego the manicure as I was pregnant and felt very sick. She then told me it would be an extra $5, so $15 for the removal because I wasn't doing a manicure. It was a horrible thing to be penalized when I was feeling unwell and clearly very pregnant. I'll never forget this and don't plan to return even though this has been my regular salon for the last 2 years. It was very unkind and greedy behavior. I couldn't believe it. read more

Disaster! I was there for 2 1/2 hours for a regular mani pedi. No one in there could understand what I was saying and it seems like they all had eye problems. I had two separate people work on me. Both of them didn't know their procedure for a manicure. They didn't want to touch my cuticles unless I asked and didn't soften my nails at all. They cut my nails dry it which led them to crack in the corners which led them to file my nails much shorter and rounder than I wanted. They were also crooked. My toenails were not cut as much as I did ask. They do a terrible job filing where the corners had pieces of nail and skin fraying on every finger.The color wasn't painted on my whole nail and I kept having to ask them to fill in the missing parts. When they did fill in the missing color the paint ended up all on my skin. They had to redo two separate nails. I ended up bleeding at one point. When I asked for them to clean the paint off my skin, they didn't see that it was messy to all. To top it off, I paid before they finished the job, which was a mistake. The price I was charged was $7 more than the price on their website. They told me there was nothing they could do because the owner doesn't come into the store all the time and neither doesn't Manager. I'm essentially out of luck having paid extra for a manicure that looks terrible. read more

I found this place on Google and decided to try it as it was in a convenient location for me. Now a repeat customer, I could not recommend them more! CC Nails always does a great job and they are clean as well as fairly priced. I've gone to them for all of my wedding related manis and pedis... my nails looked great for my bachelorette, shower, and wedding! It's always important to have a go to nail place in the neighborhood and I think this is it for me. They're not perfect but overall much better than a lot of other places. Prices are reasonable, they aren't super busy and you can usually get in, decent color selection. They do consistently try to upsell you so be aware. They prefer cash payment and there's an atm in the shop. Pedi massage chairs are a bit aged but they work. The add ons are pricey for what they are, I got callus removal and it increased pedi from $28 to $39. They have a rewards card but tbh not really sure what kind of deal it gets you. May be a bit hit or miss depending on the technician but I liked mine. She painted the tops of my toenails which is honestly my measure of how good a pedi is so thumbs up! read more

I went in to get a pedicure and a powder manicure. The pedicure was fine (minus the fact it took over an hour). When I got up, the drink rest for the chair next to me was up and one offered to help me get it down. I tripped and messed up my toes. She quickly correct it. When it came to the manicure, I asked for just a file. She said I needed to cut to I said just a little. She ended up chopping off my entire nail. I asked for almond shape she game me round, then had to file shorter to correct. At the end, she forgot to massage and I said it's fine. She insisted and slapped the lotion on although I said I thought the topcoat wasn't dry. She had to redo the top coat since the weren't dry. Now one of my nails has a white, milky look to it because of the residue of the lotion. I would definitely look elsewhere for your nail care. read more

I had a different nail tech this time and when I finally saw the finished powder manicure i was appalled that a nail tech could let me leave like this (see pictures) they were bumpy, not well shaped and barely groomed. Picked this place because you could book online and had good ratings. Price also seemed reasonable. Once I sat down she kept trying upsell me and tell me I had bad callouses and that I needed a special treatment. So not true, I have pretty nice feet. After 5 mins of her harassing me about upgrading to a spa pedicure, I did because I was so over it and wanted to be in peace. They should look up the definition of a spa pedicure.
