I honestly hate writing reviews, especially when they're negative, but I can't stop thinking about how how poor of an experience I've had here. I came with a friend on vacation and decided I wanted to get my nails done. I had acrylic on my nails and ultimately decided to get a fill. They ended up getting filled with dip. I asked for coffin shape and the first few nails were fine. But as time went on, they became more and more square. I didn't realize it at the time but noticed while looking at my nails about an hour after leaving. The more I felt my nails, the more uneven and lumpy they felt. When I looked at them from the side, they were visually not even. And when I was sitting in the chair, it almost seemed like the lady was unhappy to be shaping my nails. They were so chunky and clunky. I was so embarrassed to show anyone my nails even when paying for things. 10/10 for color selection but 0/10 for everything else because my nails starting lifting halfway through my vacation. When I got home, I took them off right away and reshaped them myself. The dip came off easily and my nails were smooth underneath. the acrylic I had from my previous salon was still in tact and they were 4+ weeks old. My friend got cut multiple times to the point where she almost didn't want her nails to get done anymore. And her gel polish started lifting before our 6-day vacation was over. read more

The pedicure was fine though my girl was very abrasive and I had to ask her to be more careful more than once. That being said - this review is more for the terrible customer service I dealt with when trying to pay. The sign says a pedicure is $26. There is also a sign that says 5% off if you pay with cash. I paid with a card and a woman told me it was $27. I asked why when the sign said $26. She said it was $26 only if you paid in cash. It wasn't about the dollar, but rather the con job and failure to explain that anywhere. They continued to argue with me and finally she called some random person (I still have no idea who it was) and put her on speakerphone to talk to me. CC Nails is a good spot in the area. It definitely could be cleaner but for what it is and for the convenient location I've gone around 3 times. A super no frills salon, narrow with about 5 or 6 seats for manis and around 4 for pedis. That being said the utensils are always sanitized and the materials they use are replaced for cleanliness. The staff is mostly friendly, the few ladies at the front aren't the great about welcoming and rush you if you don't choose your color right away. I usually just try to ignore the said pressure after checking in with them because I make an appointment (they also accept walk ins, and don't really prioritize appointments because they take whoever they have room for but I like to make one in case the wait does get long so I can say something). Cristina is so good and thorough - got a gel mani and regular pedi and loved how both turned out. She goes over all the little mistakes if she sees a nail has been messed up and is patient and kind. Overall not the best customer service but very decent for price. It takes a standard hour to do both gel mani/reg pedi. Together the combo is $51. read more

The employees are really polite and professional. They did a great job and my girl friend loved their quick and professional service. I have not used Yelp in over a year, so the fact that I'm writing a review speaks volume to how poor this experience was. I found CC Nails today through Yelp today, and I had high hopes since it sounded like it was an inexpensive option for a manicure. I walked in around 4:30pm, and I was assisted right away by Yenny. I asked for a French Manicure, and she cut my nails, cleaned my cuticles and buffed my nails in a pretty efficient manner. Warm Keratin gloves were provided, which was a nice touch. When it came to the actual french manicure, this is where things went downhill. As she painted the white tips, some nail polish would stray and she would pause, and use her nail to scratch it off my skin. Weird, but ok... Halfway through, a dollop of white nail polish ended up on the middle of my thumbnail, and she tried to wipe off that tiny part with nail polish remover, and repainting the pink base coat. It looked sloppy, so she wiped the whole thing off and this time, did not bother applying a clear base coat and just used the pink base coat -- I guess to save on time. When I left the salon, I finally took a good look at my nails and realized that she cut the tips uneven, so some of my nail was angled upwards. The tips were also painted unevenly across each hand, so that emphasized it even more. It's frustrating because if I wanted a sloppy french manicure, I would've bought a sally hansen kit and saved myself the trouble of going to CC Nails. To make matters even worse, literally ONE hour later, I noticed that the white tips on my left thumb and my index finger started chipping. In that hour, I wasn't rummaging around in my purse or doing anything active that would warrant my nail polish to start chipping. Never again. read more

I am extremely upset with my service today. They wasted my time and my time is very valuable. I texted them a picture before I came in and I asked them if they can do it and the person said yes. I come inside and everything is very nice in the beginning, they seem to have every color but the color I wanted which was grey. They did not give me grey. They thought I was color blind or something. Gave me another color. I was very upset because if you couldn't do it, you could have been honest with me and told me you couldn't do it just like my other nail salon that's closer to me. I could've given them something else that was easier for them to do. They are not close to me. I went out of my way today to come to them. My French nail came out too thick, it looked very ugly and I made the person redo it, but everytime it looked ugly. The environment is pretty but the quality they give is trash. I came in this place with beautiful natural gorgeous healthy nails that I had for months, I left and my nails broke after 3 days, they don't care about the health of your nails, they literally broke my nails by buffing so much. They wasted my time and I had to go somewhere else the next day to get it redone. I give really good tip when it's necessary, but with todays service I shouldn't have given them a dime. I don't typically get my nails done but when I do I come here. My last gel manicure lasted a long time which I was surprised about. I have thin brittle nails. I went there on a Sunday no appointment and was taken right away. The staff was nice enough. I decided on getting the cats eye gel manicure. Probably wouldn't recommend this place because it wasn't a great manicure unfortunately. Came in at 12 noon on my lunch break. Manicures usually take no more than 45 minutes so I'd figured there was enough time to get one and get back to work. Found this place on Yelp and it had good reviews so other than that I knew nothing about the place. It was very narrow, small and nothing special but a manicure was $11.50 and so that worked for me. (Even though manicures are $9 on Long Island) They had a very large selection of nail polishes, Essie, OPI, gel polish options for $2 more and a few other brands. The polishes definitely weren't kept in good shape, most tops had polish on them, some were just about empty and others had brushes that needed cleaning, so while there was a great variety, they could have used a cleaning. I'm all about cleanliness in a nail salon especially after reading all of these horror stories about the spread of infection. Without an appointment and with about five other customers in the place, I was able to sit in a chair and have my manicure started within 5 minutes. The woman doing my nails was nice and did a nice job shaping my nails but the manicure itself didn't come out great. At 12:31 on the dot, went to the drying station and the dryers were pumping out ice cold air. It was not enjoyable whatsoever my hands were frigid. Additionally, there were three dryers next to one another with absolutely no space in-between so you were literally on top of the people next to you also drying their nails. Dried my nails from 12:31 to 1:00 and went to grab my bag and my index finger was completely smudged. Asked a girl to redo the nail and she asked me which polish I had but I hadn't a clue, there were like 30 different reds in the Essie brand. Eventually we located the color, fixed the nail, went back under the drier for 10 minutes and left at 12:13 ish. Went to CVS across the street and ruined my thumb. Had to go back and have them fix my thumb! It was as if something was wrong with the polish. After drying my nails for 45 minutes there is no reason why they should smudge that easily. I was being so careful. When I went back to have them fix my nail a second time I asked one of the workers how long I should have to dry for and she said 10 minutes. 45 minutes didn't even do the trick. Really don't have an hour and a half plus to spend getting a regular manicure in my day so it was disappointing. The women here were nice enough but the outcome wasn't great. That night a couple more nails smudged. Maybe a gel manicure is the only way to go here. read more

Promised a follow-up review after my gel manicure and here it is Yelpers! Returned to CC Nails yesterday for a gel french manicure (please see the photo I added for the result!) and made an appointment for 7. Because I was coming at a busy time, I made an appointment and was glad I did. I was seated immediately and got my regular pedicure bf my gel manicure. Selected my color and was glad to see they had several new colors, specifically from the OPI liquid sand collection. I wanted something bright and shiny for my upcoming vacation and selected one of these colors and sat down. My pedicure was just as good as last time. The massage specifically is great - you can tell they really mean it when they rub your feet and legs. After I finished my pedicure, Lina helped me with my bag and out of my seat and led me to the tables to get my gel manicure. She asked me about the shape of my nails twice and double checked length. She then selected colors for the french. The first color wasn't that great and didn't match well with my skin, so she switched the colors and the second one she selected worked extremely well. I had high hopes after seeing the good reviews on yelp. And then I found a sign that said you get a free 10 minute massage if you like them on yelp. Which would explain why they have good ratings. I was overall disappointed with my experience here. My gel manicure does not look clean, the edges are messy and my nails are lumpy. My massage chair didn't work and everyone seemed to be in a bad mood. After we gave them a tip they started talking to each other, probably saying rude things about us for not tipping more for a terrible manicure. The only highlight was that they care about moisturizing and hydration. They put an extra "mask" on your heel (which I needed) and for the regular manicure they put lotion gloves on your hands. The regular manicure a friend got looked good, but I wouldn't recommend the gel manicure. I will not be returning. read more

This was actually one of the worst nail experiences I've ever had. My technician's name was Rose. I walked in and said I wanted a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure was ok - she barely did any exfoliating on my feet, little to no effort. The 10 min massage was good, however, they stop immediately when the timer goes off. Every single place I've been in the city will usually go at least 30 seconds longer. When I finished the pedicure, I reminded her that I had a gel on my nails and wanted a manicure. Maybe she didn't know, but she was clearly annoyed and continued mumbling things under her breath. She kept the remover on my nails for maybe 20 seconds....scraping my real nail off and filing my nails with the buffer down to brittle. I then had to tell her that the gel residue was still on my nails when she was finished! Two of my cuticles bled when she was working on them, and didn't even attempt to clean the blood off my fingers! I had to ask her to re-file some nails because they were so crooked. Today, the next day, there are so many bubbles and indents in the nail polish. Tip is only in cash. What a waste of money - worst experience EVER! read more

I usually don't leave reviews on Yelp, but this one called for it.. I took a trip to Miami and before the trip I wanted to get long lasting nails. My nails are so brittle so I opted for the SNS powder nails since it keeps my nails protected rather than getting gel. The service here is great, but for some reason their powder nails just doesn't last more than a few days and it's very pricey ($50!). If I wanted my nails to chip or get damaged after a few days I would've just gotten a regular mani. I was literally in the shower the day after I've gotten them done and both nails on my index finger just popped off like it was some cheap stick ons that I unskillfully glued on.... And then by the 3rd day all of it was gone. Every one of them popped off like a fake nail and it was ridiculous because my friends were finding them in the car and around our Airbnb... not to mention that the lady who did my pedicure nipped me with the cuticle cutter and I was bleeding the whole time... my toe is still healing from that too. Then in less than a week the polish was lifting so badly that my hair kept getting caught underneath it. And today exactly one week from when I got them done the dip was popping off all my nails. Came in with a friend of mine for 2 manis and 1 pedi. We were rushed from the very beginning. My friends mani was done in 5 sad and short minutes. For my pedi, since my nails were wet from the mani I asked the lady to roll up my pants which she did about an inch. This obviously resulted in her getting my jeans wet when trying to rinse my legs off. She also didn't care to dry my legs before applying lotion so needless to say, it was just wet watery lotion being sloshed around my feet and on my pants as well. She rushed me to sit down at thedryer and didn't bother to help me get my coat or bag and then threw on her coat and ran out the door. I asked another lady to help me get the Saran Wrap and shoes on. She took zero care so I told her I could do it. Instead she shoved my feet in the shoes when I told her to not to and of course, when I got home, my nail polish was a disaster. So, I paid full price for a crappy experience that I will have to pay someone again to fix. I totally understand people have things to do and places to go but I do not appreciate getting such terrible service when I'm paying the fair price. I'd rather wait for a technician who gives a damn.
