I saw Holly at the 67th location, although she's nice, she DID NOT do a good job with my hair. I got a "trim" and a "blowout", and my hair looked exactly the same as it did when I walked in. I love getting blowouts because my previous hair stylists do such a great job giving me voluminous hair with the perfect "flips" at the end, but Holly was unable to achieve this look. She didn't even put any product in my hair. I could have done a better job myself. Really disappointed and wish I didn't waste my money here. read more

I attempted to try this place out at the recommendation of a friend. I had a 3:30 appointment and checked in with the front desk a couple minutes early. At 4, my haircut had yet to begin as I was still in the waiting area. My stylist had not been out to let me know she was running behind, the front desk staff didn't check, I just sat there waiting for 30 minutes with no contact from anyone. That was my limit - I informed the desk that I was going to leave. At this point the greeter responded: shall I check and see where she's at? Um, you should have done that 20 minutes ago. Prior to moving to AZ, my stylist of many years told me to reach out to someone whose hair I liked and ask where they got their hair done. I was referred to Bloom's Brandy. I don't like to give poor reviews but I must say that I won't return. Brandy is a very nice woman but she talked non-stop about her personal life which seemed to distract her. I feel that she didn't listen to what I said. I showed her a picture and told her that my bangs were too long. Bangs still too long and she styled it with the part on the opposite side that I typically wear it. I don't know anything about cutting hair but I observed her going back to the same area where she had previously cut several times. The back is not even and is not blended well; can see the layers. Things aren't bad enough to return for a re-do and fortunately hair grows. read more

Salon on 83rd is nice & some good people there but this review is for Kendra. I was the first appointment of the day, waiting outside til they opened yet she was still about 15/20 mins late to start me. She didn't bother to apologize for being late or keeping me waiting. She literally has NO personality, very unfriendly & disinterested. She complained about the length of my hair being so long. She apparently can't tell professional highlights when she looks at someone's hair b/c she asked me (in a super snotty tone) if I color my hair myself!! She seems very inexperienced & is very unprofessional. My hair really looked no different after cut. Another time I was there and in front of clients she was telling the other hair stylists (in great detail) about a terrible date she had the night before. TMI, I was embarrassed for her! Super immature & unprofessional. There are other stylists there that are good, just not her. This was a while ago, just forgot to leave the review. Like the other person previously, I also purchased a Groupon for Bloom. However, unlike them, I did not experience the same issues. I did first try calling on a Monday but the voicemail. When finding out their hours, I learned that they are closed on Mondays and Sundays so that is why. I was able to leave a voice message but decided to call again another day. I called the next day and spoke to Steven. He was friendly and helpful. I scheduled my appointment that coming Saturday. The salon does allow scheduling online but both the groupon and the website clearly state that this option is not available for those with groupons. The Groupon also stated that specific stylists were not available for the groupon, which makes sense (and makes sense why it would be best to call in for the appointment as they can make sure that error does not occur). I arrived at the salon and was greeted by a smiling female who immediately assisted and told me an estimated wait. I was called back within 10 minutes, which was before my actual start time (I liked this because I hate waiting around and I very much value time). My stylist, who was Steven, was very friendly, listened, and did a good job on my hair style (spent about 45 minutes with me). The salon has a comforting atmosphere and layout. They offer several services too - hair, nails, and even spray tanning. read more

I Love Bloom Salon and would be a hot mess if it weren't for the skilled hands of Andrea P. She is amazing beyond compare! I've been going to Andrea for nearly 9 years and now my 6 year old is having her hair cut by Andrea too. She does a fabulous job and is so incredibly patient - especially the first time my daughter had her hair styled at a salon rather than a kids place. She felt so grown up! Any time that I sit in Andrea's chair I'm confident I'll walk out feeling nothing less than spectacular when she's finished. She is such an artist - I'm able to give her direction or give her free reign and my hair always turns out awesome! Regularly I tell her "Do whatever you think will look good just not super short." and I've never been disappointed. The staff have always been friendly and I love their online appointment scheduling option. I usually scheduled a few appointments at a time. However, I have called to make appointments in the past (as well as be placed on the "waiting list") and the ladies at the desk are great. read more

I was beyond happy with this salon and the stylist I was assigned. I had the best service throughout the entire salon everyone was so sweet. Ashley M was my stylist .At first she was all business making sure she knew exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. My description was slightly vague and unsure ,with tons of pintrest photos of what I liked. She was able to find an example of what I was attempting to describe. The processes was great she kept conversation with me the whole time which made the appointment fly by. I walked in a brassy blonde mess with ridiculous outgrowth and not the (cute almost natural ombre ) kind. I walked out with a beautiful cool tone blonde balayage. I saw Andrea, with Shear Envy at Bloom Salon, for the first time yesterday. I went in to remove my brassy yellow and get a nice bright blonde highlight and came out blue. :( I look like a skunk. It's really quite awful. It's not even the color that bothers me as much as the lack of accountability and manners. Had she been honest with me and said she made a mistake and offer to fix it, I probably would have given her another chance. Instead she charged me a couple hundred dollars, took my money, and told me to go to Ulta and invest in purple shampoo. YIKES! I'd stay away from this one. She even attempted to have me make another two appts with her! LOL. UM NO THANKS. Oh, also the stylist next to us kept commenting to me about how nice my color turned out. Really? Clean, mostly friendly staff, and good look of the salon. But I've never been impressed with my cuts. I have long brown hair with layers, and every time I leave after a trim, I still have a ton of split ends... My only request is literally just a trim to get rid of split ends. So, I think I'll try a different place. It seems they're better at coloring than cutting all around. Not worth their prices. I'd rather pay $50-60 elsewhere where my split ends actually get trimmed. read more

I made an appointment and asked for someone good with naturally curly hair and was told I was getting one person and actually got someone different (30 minutes after my actual appointment time). I told her just a trim because my hair curls up a lot when dry and she cut a bit more off. I don't really care for my cut and the prices on the website are deceptive. She charged me $45 for just trimming my hair, no style, just a trim. I tipped her because it's the right thing to do, and it is only hair, it will grow back. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this salon. If you're looking for a posh style place this would be it, but I'm just looking for a good trim at a reasonable price. read more

The service included a scalp massage and she used Moroccan Oil products on my hair. The staff was friendly, made me feel welcome, and the salon was beautiful. I had a very interesting experience to say the least however, the owner Tricia was beyond amazing in making sure I loved my hair makeover. I have very long, straight hair and she was able to do what many other stylists cannot. Tricia took her time to listen and ask how I envisioned my haircut and Absolutely Nailed it! Her integrity and genuine concern for me to leave 100% content is something you do not often come across. To top it off, the salon is beautiful and has a very modern vibe. I have been going to Holly for quite a few months now and have had NO problems with her. She is precise and answers all of my questions and also gives me good suggestions. If I choose a color or cut and it isn't quite the right color for me, she will say something. If I disagree with her and she colors per my specifications and it doesn't turn out well, that is not HER fault. She is young, but she is always professional with me and ensures that I like my hair before I leave the salon; if not then she will fix it right then and there. read more
