I found Salon Encore on Yelp, they had great reviews so I thought I'd try it. My daughter needed a haircut and I'd already called two other places but no availability. The woman who answered let me know she thought one stylist may have had a last minute opening, and that she'd call me right back. She did! And we booked for an afternoon haircut appointment. Our stylist was Jessica N. She was attentive and nice and so kind with my daughter. I was happy for that. She did a great job, Gave her a great cut, and made her feel really taken care of. She was pretty quick too. The store itself is so cute. They seem to offer other services such as massage and retail. I purchased myself some cute earrings and asked about the massage schedule, but that they couldn't book same day. i went here a couple times with this lady name Jessica Guseman? Gooseman? I'm not sure, but the price varies every time I book with her for a trim. She also over charges like crazy! As well as when I had first dyed my hair there, she was extremely rude and made inappropriate comments about my life as I spoke with her but I tried to look past it as my friend had recommended her to me. The place is clean and well set up, but I would not recommend getting your hair done by her. She's rude, overcharges, and constantly changes her prices! read more

Danelle Vogel is a wonderful massage therapist! She is very attentive to my needs. She asks about trouble areas. I usually get the 60 minute full body massage. She is very reasonable. I like that she has a nice wide bed as a lot of times I feel like I'm going to fall off trying to turn over on the smaller massage beds most places offer. She is very personable and cares about her clients. I have recommended her to family and friends. She is great. I prefer giving my business to local small business owners as I think the corporate businesses are so impersonal. Also, their rates are much higher for massages and they usually try talking you into buying a package deal which a lot of times is not worth it. read more

I'm growing my hair back out from a super short style. The struggle is real. I've limited my trims down to every 10-12 weeks, but during that time, it starts to get a little wild. I was able to book with Jessica, who was super sweet. Glad I found her! She's sympathetic to my hair struggles and was able to get my mop under some control as it grows back. I was initially concerned I wouldn't be able to find a good stylist nearby, thankfully, I was wrong. Looking forward to all my upcoming appointments with Jessica while I work on growing back my long hair!! Important note: The woman that first took my call when booking (unfortunately don't recall her name) went ABOVE AND BEYOND. I had an event and needed to get a trim beforehand and she took the time to reach out to the stylists individually to see who could squeeze me in. Everywhere else I had called prior gave me the basic, "Sorry, can't help" response. That extra effort really helped to solidify my decision to make this particular salon "my place". I went in to get my hair lighter with bleach and some how, it's 100 shades darker. I wish I was joking but well, there goes over 200$. Learned my lesson to stick to my usual salon, even if they can't take me in that day. I'm very embarrassed of my hair since it's a gross grey-brown-black color. My usual salon recommended I wait to get it redone because they don't want to damage my hair. I hate being stuck with this and having to pay 2x for what i wanted. Even more actually, since it's a dark color and not a lighter, it won't get as light. I do not recommend this place for new comers. read more

I grew up in Phoenix but have since moved away...when I come back to visit I always make sure to schedule a facial with Megan Manning!!! I have weird skin...oily, but dry...some fine lines and wrinkles because ya know-life...you get the picture. It's also very sensitive and facials are always a little scary because I have left salons with very irritated red akin. NOT WITH MEGAN!!! Megan listened to my long list of issues, did a through review of medical information and explained what she was going to do before she started. Every step was explained and I knew exactly what she was doing and why she was doing it. It was by far the most relaxing facial of my life. My skin is as smooth and glowing when I left. I had my first appointment with Christy Summers on 2/11/21 and she was AMAZING!!! I only had a cut in mind because I wasn't sure about the color. Christy gave me a cut that I love then convinced me to try a new color that I never would have done before and I LOVE IT!!!! My massage Therapist Danelle moved to a new location and I love it. The old place was good, but this place is amazing! Big, roomy, comfortable and beautiful! My massage was perfect as usual, and this month she is offering specials on both her massage and her new body wrap, so of course I had to try her new service!! I got my normal 90 minute massage where she worked all my trouble spots! I love that she really listens to me every time I go in and adjusts her massage accordingly. Then, as if I didn't already feel like a wet noodle, I got the body wrap. I opted for the firming and toning one. She covered me in green clay and wrapped me in plastic and blankets. My muscles felt like they were melting with all that heat and then i got an amazing scalp massage! what a treat! After I was done, she wiped off the clay with hot towels and finished with a nice body butter. My skin feels tighter, softer and smooth and looks good too. I think I'll add a salt scrub to my next one it felt so good! Did I mention everyone was really friendly? I love places where everyone seems happy and enjoys being there! read more

Due to some financial cut backs I was in the market for a new Salon & stylist. Josie had been highly recommended by a friend on Facebook and her hair was always beautiful. Josie offered 50% off a service for new clients. Salon Encore was new and had yet to have their Grand Opening. They are within walking distance from my home. The waiting area is cute and they offered water while you wait. After a short wait Josie came to greet me. Josie has the most amazing Platinum Blonde hair and she is quite stylish. After showing her an old photo of myself where I loved my hair she got to work. While she was working I spotted a friend of a friend in the manicure area. I have seen many photos of Corina's work and she is a true nail artist. While I personally have not had a manicure by Corina, the pictures speak for themselves. Salon Encore is lucky to have Corina on staff. Once the highlights had processed it was time for the part I tend to dread. Most salon sinks are so uncomfortable especially for your neck. The sinks at this Salon are amazing. They hold your head up in a comfortable position. I was actually able to relax while the product was washed out of my hair.
