Very disappointing experience with my Tesla Model Y. I specifically brought the vehicle in for a…read morecontrol arm noise coming from the driver side and clearly explained that upon arrival. The shop diagnosed and recommended replacement of both the driver and passenger lower control arms. I ultimately approved repair of only the side making noise for approximately $697 (versus the $1,394 they recommended for both sides). What bothered me most was that after the repair was completed, the technician test drove the vehicle, yet nobody informed me before making payment that the exact same noise was still present. I personally discovered it myself within less than 10 feet of driving out of the shop and immediately returned. The lack of communication regarding the unresolved issue felt very misleading and frustrating. Instead of taking ownership of the failed diagnosis or communication issue, the owner Elvis became defensive and stated the reason the noise remained was because I was "too cheap" to do all the work (both side, $1,397). He also suggested I should have replaced the upper control arm as well, despite the fact that they never diagnosed or recommended prior to the repair. I ultimately took the vehicle to the Tesla dealership, where the upper control arm issue was addressed at a significantly lower cost. While the lower control arms may have shown signs of wear, replacing worn parts that are not actually causing the customer's complaint makes little sense from a diagnostic standpoint. Based on my experience, the process felt more like guesswork than properly isolating the actual issue. Customer service was ultimately arrogant and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious bringing a Tesla here.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. KCC Auto and Elvis are the gold standard of what an…read moreauto shop should be--honest, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and deeply experienced, especially with luxury brands like Porsche. After being let down time and time again by the dealership, I finally found a team I can trust. Elvis didn't just save me a huge amount of money--he saved me the typical headaches that come with Porsche service. I even stayed nearby for three days while they worked on my $100K vehicle because I knew it was in the right hands. This shop is a rare find. If you care about quality, professionalism, and people who truly know what they're doing, KCC Auto is it.

I would highly recommend them for service on any vehicle, very affordable and dependable. I had work done around many of the shops in Villa Park, Melrose, and Lombard and I have to say these guys are awesome!!! * side note* As a fellow business owner I wish that your customers writing the fake reviews I read on your business knew the internet law. Internet defamation of charter, slander is ground for loss in revenue and I hope that they know that if they were not actually a customer they can get into a lot of heat and sued for that - wow Do your homework before you post things that are not true about a business you guys never received service on.

Don't worry if you haven't heard of M&N, because it probably closed over 20 years ago. Mike and Brian have been amazing ever since and I wouldn't trust my car to any other mechanic, period. There are really two main things that I find to be exceptional here and have earned my trust for as long as I'm driving cars or they're in business here. The first is that there is never any mystery about what's going on with your car, they are 100% transparent with everything they do. Secondly, they will do everything possible to limit your costs and only suggest service if it's absolutely necessary.

I was outside on a phone call when one of the guys came to the front and took my car around the corner. I don't mind my car being driven fast, apparently neither did the mechanic as he peeled it off the parking lot to take my car around the block to the back. I go to wait in the waiting area and after a bit the person in the front asks me for my wheel lock key. I reminded him I put it on the passenger seat. They couldn't find it. I let him know about the mechanic that took off speeding in my car, possibly that action made the key fly off the seat. They eventually located the key...I had to go help look, it was under the driver seat, under the mat. How crazy was this person driving my car that it flew from the passenger seat to where they found it. They completed what I showed up for so for that im grateful but the heart attack i had when they couldn't find my key was unnecessary. Maybe slow down so you're not losing wheel lock keys for your clients. Other than that, the gentleman in the front was very nice.

I received a call with a diagnostic update on the noise, and they assured me that they had identified the source. So, I instructed them to move forward with their professional recommendations in an effort to rectify the noise. Two days later, I received a call, and I was informed that everything suggested had been fixed, but upon a test drive a slight noise was still noted. So, then I was asked if I could leave my car there until Monday for further assessment. Monday, I received a call indicating that what they had previously fixed was not the actual source of the noise, so several additional repairs were recommended. Long story short, my car is now making a louder noise and appears to be in worse condition than it was before I took it this place. Furthermore, the owner was rather nonchalant regarding my concerns, and his only suggestion was to spend more money to fix additional things. Took, my vehicle to obtain a second opinion and the mechanic was instantly able to identify the source. So, this leads me to believe that initially they lied about the source of the noise, so they could get more money.
