When we first moved to the south, my mom and I went looking for a David's Salon here. Good thing,…read morewe didn't have to look that hard because there's one ten minutes from our place. It's pretty convenient actually. It's in a building that has a supermarket, a drugstore and a clothing shop. Now, back to David's Salon. It's not a high end David's Salon, but they do offer all the services the other branches have. Their staff are so friendly and patient. They don't try to talk to you and spill gossip while doing your hair or your nails. Yup, professional people. Also, they'll give you their opinion about the haircut you want and will tell you if it will look good or bad. I really appreciate that. If you want to be sure that they can accommodate you, call them up and set an appointment. Look for Sir Arnold. He knows what he's doing and does it well.

I can't count how many haircuts I've had here. Back then I'd go with my mom or my sister, these…read moredays I'd go alone for a trim or a quick manipedi. It's one of those salons that promises to give you a quick and fair service without breaking your wallet. David Salon falls in the middle of the spectrum of chain salons. It's more expensive than Reyes Salon but a lot cheaper than Piandre. I've never had a bad experience here and I can see why it has become the go-to salon for middle-class men and women. Tips: 1. Save your money! Don't go to a senior stylist if you only need a trim or a basic cut. It's the same. 2. Bring your own nail polish. Most of the colors they offer are basic.

It was a very awkward experience to come to this salon. It is convenient located in resorts world…read moreso I can walk there. I really don't like that they didn't welcome me when I walked in. I started to talk but they were looking at me. I think if a salon is located in the mall then they should be comfortable talking to foreigners. I stayed anyways with the awkward greeting. I kept telling them I want gray highlights. I showed photos and we agreed for it to be ombré highlights. It didn't turn out that way. The guy cutting my hair also just chopped away and not checking if it's even. I just gave up with telling them what I wanted since they didn't give me a response whenever I said anything. The lady next to me kept yelling at them for hours telling them what she wants and they let it happen. When I finally told them that lady is annoying and asking when my hair would be completed the lady finally left. I was watching a show on my phone and I could hear her clearly still since she was so loud. It's a business and she was very loud and obnoxious. Should've thrown her out. I also had a pedicure and the girl kept stabbing my feet. No apology or anything and she kept trying to stop the bleeding. I really don't think they wanted to speak to me. I'll probably wait until my gray hair grows out again and get it recolored and cut.

Came here for a haircut, then asked for price for a mani/pedi (wanna come home crisp and clean)…read more And the freakout moment for me was everything happened while I was sitting down on the barber chair, checking email on the right while she was worked on my left hand and vice versa, then my feet (the foot massage was 2die4) and the barber cutting my hair- all in concert, all mani/pedi tools and solutions were modular and wheeled over to your chair. I couldn't believe. I thought it was hilarious that this was all happening at the same time and had my doubts. Was totally impressed with the service and quality of work. My haircut was def what I wanted, hands and feet in great manicured shape, all this for about 1100 pesos (about $22)!!! I was in and out in 1 hour, no lie. This is the most efficient groom service I've experienced ever, best grooming regimen in any barber or salon ever. They do shaves/massages the classic way too. You must come here to check it out. Verdict: Oh hell yes I'm coming back. Visits: 1 Tip: Cash only. This location is in the Mall of Asia, MOA. It gets super busy in here and there's a wait if you don't have an appt. While you do this, your girl/ significant other can go to I think there are 2 salons next door; she can take her pick. Tip your barber or manicurist 100 pesos, about $2 before you leave.

When it comes to good haircuts, I'd have to say that David's Salon is one of the best there is…read more Sure, you can get a haircut for as low as P40 these days but there really is no assurance that you're getting a good one. In fact, I've tried that myself and have often regretted the decision to do a budget cut right after. David's does not employ hair cutters, they have hair stylists. You know you are working with really great people when they spend more than 5 minutes on just the bangs and another 30 or so getting my unruly hair to look even. I also love their coloring service. The colors are very nice and subtle but it does make a big difference in the way you look. Just a fair warning, the colorant they use may feel like your scalp is burning but the color takes really well. Plus, it doesn't take the usual two hours plus heating, just a 45-minute shampoo session with the colorant and you're done. Here's the only downside with David's, it's hard to get the actual pricing from them when you're getting your hair done. They don't really tell you until the very end, and by then they've already started on your hair and you can't really back out. It can get pretty annoying because it's happened to me twice in this branch - first when I was getting my hair rebonded and second when I was getting it colored. I think a little bit of transparency would be appreciated by their loyal customers. Plus the upselling of other products for maintenance is not really recommended because customers already pay a lot for their services. But other than that, I'm pretty happy with the basic haircut and the coloring service. The results are always beautiful.
