I've been going to LA ViE MD for approximately 4-5 years, so this review reflects several years of…read moreexperience with the practice rather than one disappointing visit. Dr. N is very good at neuromodulator injections, although it typically takes a few follow-up visits with her or one of her nurses to get my eyebrows corrected so they don't look unnatural. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the laser treatments. I have spent a significant amount of money on IPL, CoolPeel, and most recently BBL, and the results have been extremely disappointing. Other than temporary pinkness after treatment--which is an expected reaction--I have seen essentially no improvement in my age spots or broken capillaries. I was told BBL was the latest and greatest, and I actually waited for the practice to get the machine because I was hopeful this would finally produce better results. Somehow, the BBL was even more disappointing than the IPL and CoolPeel. After spending this much money on multiple treatments, I expected to see at least some visible improvement. Today I was scheduled for my third XERF treatment. (No one mentioned it would take more than one treatment to see any noticeable difference after a few weeks). Weeks ago, I was promised 30% off. However, the price has since been increased to the point that my treatment WITH the promised 30% discount would now cost more than I paid for either of my first two XERF treatments. I find that very disappointing. The final issue for me was being required to provide a copy of my driver's license, supposedly for insurance reasons. At my previous visit, I specifically discussed this and was told I could simply show my license. Now I'm being told I need to upload a copy. I have dealt with many medical practices over the years and have never been required to upload and allow a practice to retain a copy of my driver's license. Maybe I'm overly cautious, but with identity theft and data breaches being so common, I am not comfortable having yet another copy of a document containing my personal identifying information stored somewhere--particularly when I don't understand why simply verifying my identity by looking at my license is no longer sufficient. After being an ongoing patient here for several years and spending a considerable amount of money with this practice, I'm extremely disappointed that my experience has reached this point. Long-standing patients should feel valued, listened to, and treated with consistency--not faced with changing prices, disappointing results, and new requirements that contradict what they were previously told. This simply isn't how you treat patients who have continued to support your practice year after year, particularly in an area where there are so many other practices offering the same cosmetic services and competing for patients' business.

After a brief call with an employee named Paolo, who spoke positively about the clinic, I shared the information with my relative. In hindsight, I realize that in my desperation, I may have overlooked warning signs. At the time, I did not realize Paolo is not a medical professional, even though he was the first person discussing treatment options. The clinic is owned and operated by Dr. Nilda Agnes Abellera, who is board-certified in PEDIATRICS but whose clinic advertises integrative medicine. My relative traveled from out of state to begin what was described as an "intensive" 20-day cancer program. According to her account, the first three days did not feel intensive. She reported that infusion rates appeared slowed, staff could not explain the scientific basis for some treatments, and the doctor missed a planned medication review. She also observed what she believed was dried blood on a chair and described an IV bag fully draining while the needle was in place, which worried her. On October 9, 2025, she said her care was terminated immediately after raising concerns, without timely written notice, referrals, or arrangements to ensure access to medical care until she could establish care elsewhere. Referrals were only provided after I contacted the clinic. This abrupt termination caused a delay of over a month in her treatment and worsened her PTSD symptoms. She also tried to obtain her medical records multiple ways. On October 10, she requested them in person but was denied. She also submitted a written request and used the clinic's online inquiry form. As of this writing--52 days later--she has not received her complete records. When I called the clinic, Paolo was tense and dismissive, and I could not speak directly with Dr. Abellera. Given the situation, I became concerned about whether proper procedures were followed and intended to file a complaint with the Medical Board of California. Additional observations and concerns (personal experience): Family-run structure: The clinic is owned by Dr. Abellera. Paolo appears to manage many aspects, and another family member may also work there. This raised questions about oversight and role clarity. Online reviews: Of 32 Google reviews, 5 were five-star without details. Only one mentioned "cancer," making it hard to evaluate patient experiences compared with other clinics with hundreds of detailed reviews. Difficulty communicating with the physician: My relative and I tried to speak directly with Dr. Abellera; she did not speak with me, and my relative felt the doctor was unwilling to address her concerns. This lack of communication was alarming given her serious diagnosis. Cost vs. expectations: The program cost approximately $1,800 per day. Based on my relative's experience, the services did not match the program description. Others may feel differently, but this was our impression. Social media promotion: Paolo participates in Facebook groups promoting the clinic without identifying himself as an employee, which seemed misleading. I have included a screenshot for reference. In more than a decade in healthcare, I have never witnessed a more concerning divergence from a physician's duty to do no harm: terminating care without notice, effectively leaving my relative without immediate, comparable care options while facing life-threatening cancer.

She is incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and professional. She always takes her time to address all my questions and concerns; I never feel rushed. She really dedicates her time to ensure I am comfortable and fully informed before moving forward with any decisions. Her patience and honesty on the enhancement recommendations coincides to my preference on natural beauty as a priority. My most recent treatment with Edrose was micro-needling + exosome. I purchased a package for 3 sessions, but after just ONE treatment, I woke up with my skin looking different. It was smoother, almost like the texture had been ironed out a bit, and that was just after 3 days. After 3 weeks my pores looked smaller, and my skin looked like it has been airbrushed but in real life! I can't wait to go back next week for my second session. I also want to mention the office is sooooo beautiful and clean. The entire staff are super adorable, extremely helpful and accommodating! I'm always greeted with a smile and they're always so patient with me, especially on how often I bombard them with questions on different types of services and treatments, LOL. Edrose is gentle. Gina's attitude with eyes rolling when I asked her "friendly questions" about your pricing is pretty unforgettable. I hate to write negative reviews and I hope Edrose can stay transparent with her pricing.
