The marketing coordinator, Jakdhale known as JG, who is the lovely face of the office, is incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, kind, polite, and friendly. She makes you feel comfortable right away and creates such a warm and inviting atmosphere. I went in for a skin consultation and had my face analyzed with Aura. I learned so much about my skin and discovered things I had never noticed before! After reviewing my results, I learned that the Glow Facial with LaseMD Ultra would be a great option for my skin concerns, and I couldn't be happier with my experience and results so far. Anu, the nurse practitioner, was also amazing! She took the time to explain every step of the treatment, answered my questions, and made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. I'm so happy I chose Medspa California and am excited to continue my skincare journey with them! I highly recommend this medspa to anyone looking for knowledgeable professionals, personalized care, and a friendly, welcoming environment.

I had a terrible LHR experience with Anu. I have extensive prior LHR experience due to PCOS (30+…read moresessions) and returned for treatment after hair regrowth following pregnancy. During my 2nd session, Anu increased the laser settings and made 2-3 passes over my face and neck, resulting in significant burns--the first laser burns I have ever experienced. When I raised concerns, she denied increasing the settings, claimed the marks were not burns, and attempted to lie despite my clear recollection. At subsequent appts, she never inquired about the burns, my skin condition, or treatment progress. She lowered the settings and continued making 2-3 passes each session. Since the burns, I have developed persistent hyperpigmentation and dark patches on my face that have lasted over 8 months. Even after my final session, I developed new dark spots on my upper lip after 3 passes. When I raised these concerns, Anu dismissed them as being due to my Indian skin rather than acknowledging that her technique was the cause, considering I've never had this happen before. Her treatment style also felt rushed and careless. The laser frequently fired on my ears, and during one session she unexpectedly treated my forehead without discussion, claiming she saw a hair, then stating it was actually a wrinkle from furrowing my brows. My final session was the most upsetting. After asking if she could reduce the cryogen cooling spray, she instead turned it off completely and performed the entire treatment without cooling. She claimed this would improve effectiveness and stated I should appreciate her effort. As a NP myself, this seemed questionable, so I researched it afterward. Cryogen cooling is a standard safety feature used to reduce the risk of burns and does not interfere with treatment efficacy. Operating the laser without it offers no clinical benefit and requires lower settings to avoid injury. Intentionally turning it off is negligence and malpractice. Settings must have been consistently low to allow 2-3 passes without burns, which explains my poor hair reduction when compared with previous providers. When I expressed my concerns, Anu defended her decision to turn off cryogen by citing personal experience and stating she'd done the same for others. She measured success by seeing surface hair singe during treatment rather than long-term hair reduction, which is the actual goal of LHR. Throughout our conversations, she was defensive, dismissive, and unwilling to take responsibility for the burns, pigmentation changes, or her deviation from standard protocols. Another issue was repeated misinformation. On multiple occasions, she told me that shaving causes hair to grow back thicker, stating this came from "old Indian beliefs." This is a well-known myth that has been repeatedly disproven. Given that LHR patients are routinely instructed to shave before treatment for optimal results, it is inappropriate to tell patients this myth and cause unnecessary anxiety. She also advised that finer hairs don't need to be shaved. This directly contradicts standard LHR guidance, which recommends shaving all treated hairs so the laser energy targets the follicle rather than surface hair. Taken together with the burns, pigmentation issues, repeated passes, and use of the laser without cryogen cooling, these comments reinforced my impression that Anu relies on personal beliefs and anecdotal experience rather than established, evidence-based protocols. This is particularly troubling because LHR already has well-established standards for both safety and effectiveness. Other notable issues: awful handling of appt rescheduling, lack of patient privacy (doors left open and being able to hear full convos) and staff being dishonest when asking to have a credit card on file by falsely blaming the system. Overall, I found Anu to be arrogant, careless, unprofessional, dismissive and overly reliant on her own judgment rather than established best practices. She provided a refund, but I can't get back my time or clear skin. I strongly recommend against seeing her.

Since that doctor retired, it has been difficult to find someone who truly respects and listens to a patient's concerns. I went to Dr. Ting specifically to have a crease beside my lip filled. I had successfully treated this area before, so I clearly explained what had and had not worked for me. I specifically asked him not to inject the filler diagonally toward my lip because, in my experience, this creates an overhang. I explained that placing a small amount beside the lip in a more rounded area had previously filled the crease without causing that problem. I was also not given a mirror during the injections. Had I been able to see where the filler was being placed, I might have recognized what was happening and spoken up before the procedure was completed Unfortunately, he did exactly what I had asked him not to do. As shown in the photo, the original crease was not corrected, and I am now left with a diagonal, sagging-looking line where the filler was placed. I can feel the filler along that line when I place my fingers inside my cheek. On the other side, I was left with a lump below my mouth, and I do not understand what that placement was intended to correct. .Although Dr. Ting is a dermatologist, this experience left me questioning his expertise with cosmetic filler placement. Correcting the result may require additional filler or hyaluronidase to dissolve the existing filler, neither of which is an ideal option. I paid nearly $800 for this procedure, and instead of seeing an improvement, I feel that my appearance has been negatively altered. I am extremely disappointed and feel disfigured.

At many Med Spas there is a heavy push for add on services but at Be Clinical they explain the benefits of their various services and are honest and will steer you away from treatments that are not appropriate. So, if you're looking for Med Spas treatments from vitamin injections to more advanced procedures I highly recommend you check them out. Watch for their Open House events where you can get an evaluation for the various treatments that are right for you.

I bought a package and planned out what I treatments I would get over the course of six months, and the front desk lost the plan...twice. Prescriptions were sent to the wrong address. I once emailed with a question about extending my plan and never heard back, only to be told *I* made the mistake not knowing that the person I emailed had left the company. (I was also told that there was no way for them to know that I had emailed and there's no system for forwarding emails sent to employees who have left, which is utter B.S.) Other times I've called and tried to get help on something basic, only to get a "we won't do that " from the front desk -- I had to go to management for something that should have been an immediate "sure," especially for someone who had shelled out thousands of dollars for a "membership." Front desk staff has also shamed me for not doing all of my treatments 1x/mo (my life was total chaos -- major move, death in the family, job upheaval) and basically said I'd compromised all of my treatments by not doing them once a month. (It seems to have gotten better, but for awhile, the attitude from the front desk was really, really bad. Distinctly unhelpful and borderline snarky.) Then there was the time I went for one treatment and only realized after they'd pulled the machine up that they'd pulled the wrong machine -- they hadn't looked at my treatment plan. Then once I had a really painful treatment, only to be told AFTER the fact that I should have been given the stronger numbing cream, not the weak numbing cream. (Why have two? Why not just give everyone the strong one?) And once when I got botox, I specifically asked that the injector do it the way the previous injector there had done it (I didn't want too much botox), but there were no records or notes on what had been done before, and the new injector shot me up with far more botox than I needed or wanted. So, fine for the treatments themselves, but the place is far from a well-oiled machine in terms of management. You have to be super on top of them and expect them to fail. You have to ask them to keep records and look up records. You have to ask them explicitly to tell you how to prepare for treatments -- they'll just space on telling you. I get the sense that even the women doing the treatments know that the front desk/admin is hopeless.

I've been going to LA ViE MD for approximately 4-5 years, so this review reflects several years of…read moreexperience with the practice rather than one disappointing visit. Dr. N is very good at neuromodulator injections, although it typically takes a few follow-up visits with her or one of her nurses to get my eyebrows corrected so they don't look unnatural. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the laser treatments. I have spent a significant amount of money on IPL, CoolPeel, and most recently BBL, and the results have been extremely disappointing. Other than temporary pinkness after treatment--which is an expected reaction--I have seen essentially no improvement in my age spots or broken capillaries. I was told BBL was the latest and greatest, and I actually waited for the practice to get the machine because I was hopeful this would finally produce better results. Somehow, the BBL was even more disappointing than the IPL and CoolPeel. After spending this much money on multiple treatments, I expected to see at least some visible improvement. Today I was scheduled for my third XERF treatment. (No one mentioned it would take more than one treatment to see any noticeable difference after a few weeks). Weeks ago, I was promised 30% off. However, the price has since been increased to the point that my treatment WITH the promised 30% discount would now cost more than I paid for either of my first two XERF treatments. I find that very disappointing. The final issue for me was being required to provide a copy of my driver's license, supposedly for insurance reasons. At my previous visit, I specifically discussed this and was told I could simply show my license. Now I'm being told I need to upload a copy. I have dealt with many medical practices over the years and have never been required to upload and allow a practice to retain a copy of my driver's license. Maybe I'm overly cautious, but with identity theft and data breaches being so common, I am not comfortable having yet another copy of a document containing my personal identifying information stored somewhere--particularly when I don't understand why simply verifying my identity by looking at my license is no longer sufficient. After being an ongoing patient here for several years and spending a considerable amount of money with this practice, I'm extremely disappointed that my experience has reached this point. Long-standing patients should feel valued, listened to, and treated with consistency--not faced with changing prices, disappointing results, and new requirements that contradict what they were previously told. This simply isn't how you treat patients who have continued to support your practice year after year, particularly in an area where there are so many other practices offering the same cosmetic services and competing for patients' business.
