I absolutely love my experience at Blissful Blinks! A couple of years ago I went to get ombre brows from another location. I had told them that I was going to be attending a wedding and when I was going, at that time I asked the question "will my brows be OK by that time". They said they would be fine and then I could come back for my six week. Check up after the wedding. Well, they weren't fine. They were peeling and cracking right on up to the day of the wedding and looked horrible. They never healed properly and always had some skipped spaces when I went back for the follow up. It was indicated to me at that time that she did not have an appointment set for me. Since there was somebody sitting in her chair at her new location by the way, I didn't put up a real fuss because I didn't want to embarrass the person in the chair. I never went back. I found blissful blanks and I'll never look back at another company that does this type of work. It barely felt like she was doing anything at all to me, versus the pain I went through with the other aesthetician, my brows look great not a lot of peeling no cracking at all and I'm ready for my check up. I went for my first appointment and overall enjoyed my experience and lashes even considering the somewhat steep prices.My one suggestion was she regularly wash the blankets as they were makeup stained. Update: my second appointment Tameka had her daughter there who I would guess to be about 4. Like most 4 year old she wanted attention and this was not the most relaxing or professional experience. Of note, Tameka notes a strict no company policy. Lastly, an email was sent out explaining that clients could begin scheduling appointments as COVID resolved. I scheduled an appointment on May 19th that was later rescheduled to June with no explanation. I logged onto IG to find she was taking clients during the exact time of my original appointment. When I sent a message she responded with "excuse me??" In the end she cancelled my appointment and refunded my deposit. I truly feel that the lashes do not compensate for the multiple unprofessional interactions I have had with the owner. read more

I found this establishment to be very clean, cute, and comfortable. She also plays chill music. Tameka has a wall with her years of certifications, this gave me great comfort since it was my first time. I went to Blissful Blinks for two reasons. One is the microblading consultation at which I had a very pleasant experience with Tameka. She took her time with me, gave me her honest opinion, and listened to my concerns. She also answered all my questions. I decided not to do it yet because I have a big event coming up and don't want to rush into it. She gave me very realistic timelines for healing and I appreciate that. I also went in to get lash extensions for the first time. I got them done with Airre(apprentice) who was super sweet and patient with me. My eyes got watery and she catered to when I needed breaks. Tameka checked her work for quality and training. My brows looked beautiful when they were first done, however, when the ink dried I didn't care for them especially for the price. I had done the ombre powder brows by Tameka and had a fantastic experience from start to finish! For my initial consult I had wanted to have microblading done, but Tameka explained to me the differences between the procedures and why the ombre would be better for my brow/skin type, and I could tell she was extremely knowledgable. From there, she worked well with me to fit me in ASAP which I appreciated. There was a little hiccup before the appointment where Tameka had expected a new machine to be delivered the morning of my appointment and hadn't received it, so she had to contact me to reschedule. However, when I expressed my difficulty rescheduling over the holidays, she provided excellent customer service and contacted the company's supervisor to see if they could overnight ship it. It ended up just being miscommunication on their part I think because the machine ended up coming in on time, but nonetheless it would have been an issue totally out of her control and she did everything she could to make sure she could get me in! My appointment did take longer than usual (about 4.5 hours) which I don't think either of us anticipated, but that's because I literally had no eyebrows and she had to essentially start from scratch when creating my shape. She asked me my opinion throughout and listened to my wishes while also offering her professional advice on the best shape to make them look natural. While it did take a while, I'm very grateful Tameka did not rush through the shaping and took the time to make them perfect, despite probably not wanting to be there so late into the evening! During the procedure she explained to me what she was doing, how she picked the colors used based on my skin undertones (again, listening to my wishes but using her expertise), and continually asked me about my pain level (which was not bad at all, only a mild stinging but I experienced a little tenderness toward the end). I have dealt with the compulsive disorder trichotillomania for a few years which left me with nearly bald brows. I had wanted to get semi-permanent brows for so long but was wary of the cost, as well as finding the right artist to essentially tattoo such an important feature onto my face. I trusted Tameka as knowledgeable about her practice and used her photo evidence of REAL clients' healed results to make a confident decision to go through with it, and I am so glad I did! Tameka is a true brow artist and miracle worker. I am SO pleased with the results. Although they are still healing and darker/sharper than they will be once fully healed, the color is not tinted red which I was worried about, and the shape is absolutely perfect and symmetrical. I've attached a before/after photo and the current healing process, even though I am only on day 3. I am sure they will continue to look phenomenal after healing as long as I follow the aftercare instructions. Additionally, the price ended up being $100 cheaper than what I had expected, which she probably didn't even have to give me because I was totally unaware of the special she was running. But honestly paying full price still would have been incredibly worth it for these beautiful results. I've gone here one time and will not come back. I was in a lot of pain and wanted to get them off! It's only been a week and a half. Pros: my lashes looked good the day I got them done Cons: the application was done poorly. I had to get them removed from another salon. My technician in Jacksonville who was helping me get them removed told me that because my lashes were glued to my skin and the base of my BABY lashes it was weighing them down and pulling at them. A couple of my real lashes fell out because the false lashes pulled really hard. My lashes hurt whenever I blinked and when brushing them out for the first two days, but I gave this place a break and thought that it was the glue because usually the first day when you get lashes your eyes are a little red from the treatment. But it wasn't! It took me AN HOUR AND A HALF to get my lashes removed by a professional, the glue was like some super industrial glue. This place was "ok" and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It was my first time getting lash extensions (at least since the embarrassing early days of "individuals"/ cluster lashes smh). Tameka worked very fast... even when my eyes were blinking quite a bit throughout the appointment. I really like the outcome of my lash appointment. I have small eyes, and I felt that the lashes were balanced and customized to my eye size/shape and relatively, conservative considering I was a first timer. I have had nothing but great experiences at Blissful Blinks! I first went to Tameka to get Volume lashes put on and she was an absolute Miracle Worker. I have very (and I mean it) sparse and short lashes from years of abuse with false lash strips and eyelash curlers, etc. She had my lashes looking amazing! For the quality of work, her prices are very reasonable. The lashes were perfectly placed and I had only natural fallout. I finally made the decision to get my eyebrows microbladed and, of course, chose to go to Tameka. Again, she did an amazing job. She listened to exactly what I wanted and took her time drawing the shape and going over the procedure. They came out perfectly and healed well. I just went in this week for my 8 week touch-up and she again listened to me and fulfilled my desire to go a bit darker with them. They look great and are back in the healing process. Tameka truly knows what she's doing. I got my first set of lashes with her and even though they were fluffy and beautiful, I thought "this is just too expensive for me". So I went to other cheaper places in town and immediately realized why her prices are where they are; her lashes, glue, and technique is something I have not been able to find anywhere else. From her classic sets to the whispy volume, the sets are always comfortable and fluffy. Trust me when I say you would rather spend 130$ on a quality lash set than 60$ on a messy and uncomfortable set that ends up ripping out your natural lashes in the second week. I moved here from Bellingham Washington at the end of February. I have been to three different salons trying to find the attention to detail and quality that I was receiving back home. I have been doing volume lashes for the past few years and extensions in whole for over 5. There is a lot of wannabes out there. Frankly Novalash is a JOKE! I have been used to A d curl14mm length with a thicker lash so it looks like I am wearing mascara. The places I have been to have been horrible, clumps of glue, lashes sticking to my skin, clusters preglued that fell out within a week. Let me tell you, if your lash girl is not taking anywhere from 1.5 hours or more, whether a fill or full, you are not receiving the quality work you are paying for. Tameka not only takes her time and glues each individual lash separately, she makes sure the lashes are proportional to your eye shape, plus I was on a lash rehab from poor quality work, so my lashes would not support my normal length. I appreciates her refreshing honesty and wanted to make sure that my lashes held up. She gave me an aftercare card as well as 2 wands. Since I have been here, 3 different businesses, no aftercare instructions or wands. They definitely do not know how to take care of their clientele or promote their business as being too quality.
