Because I was in a pinch during the dog days of the extreme temps and unusual humidity in SE Arizona this summer, and David from Garrett Electrical, Inc. bent over backwards to squeeze me in for a quote, then got me on the schedule ASAP. I live with my husband full-time in our motorhome traveling wherever my husband wants to go. Mom & Dad's house is in Mescal, AZ, near Benson. Dad's health was failing rapidly, so I dropped everything and hopped on a plane in Des Moines, IA to get here to AZ as quickly as possible. My husband was left in Forest City, IA to drive all the way out to Arizona as fast as he could. It took him nearly six full days, as he was changing his route based on my updates on Dad. With the high temps in mid-August, I knew the 30-amp RV connection on their property needed to be upgraded to 50-amp STAT. I needed both of my roof air conditioners running to keep up with the grueling heat; I can only run one at a time with a 30-amp connection. I was at my favorite Benson pizza place, G&F Pizza, ordering takeout when I asked at the counter for a recommendation for electricians in the area. Without hesitation, she told me to call David with Garrett Electrical. She was spot on! I called late in the afternoon to explain the situation and ask if he could help. David stopped by that same day after his scheduled work was through! I could tell from my own past career experience in the construction industry that he knew what he was talking about. He found the shortest route for the new cable to run for what we needed, which saved us money, since there was no longer a need to dig a trench. He explained the upgrade we'd need to make to the breaker box to have enough slots for what we needed. And he offered support to us when he heard about Dad's condition. I *could* have called someone else to do it faster, because David's schedule was already pretty full. Instead, I asked to be added, based on his willingness to help squeeze us in wherever he could, his empathy with our in-home hospice situation, and his expert knowledge. His crew, Mike & Coy, came out bright and early at 7am on the day of my installation appointment to avoid the heat of the day, because the power needed to be out, naturally. Not only was the work stellar, professional, and fast, they were the most polite electricians I've ever met! They respected the closed-gate rule for the dog, left next to zero mess, and even offered to clean that up! (I insisted to do it myself.) Amazingly professional! I had Mose run a 240V service to my carport and install a level 2 charger for my Plugin Hybrid. He…read more(and his co-worker) did the installation carefully and professionally and cleaned up everything afterwards. He stuck around to ensure that the charging of my car proceeded correctly. All at a reasonable cost also. A year later, the charger malfunctioned and the manufacturer acknowledged the problem and sent me a replacement unit. I called to have the new unit installed in place of the old unit and Mose came out again to do the work. What we thought would be a quick 30 minute replacement turned into a two hour job because the manufacturer made revisions to the unit that required re-drilling new mounting holes and slightly different wire dress. Mose did the work without complaint and once again did his usual due diligence to ensure my satisfaction. After the replacement I realized that I had forgotten to tell him about a configuration switch position change that was required, I quick call and he came back out (at no additional charge) to make the change. I'd trust Mose and Antelope Run for all of my home electrical work in the future.
