A friend and I tried this place since our normal is closed on Sundays. The place is very cute so we were optimistic. I got a gel pedicure which was just OK, but the tech was very rough and actually removed skin and caused an open wound on the top of my toe with a pumice stone just two days before my vacation. My friend had the worst pedicure and all of her toenails were crooked and gel polish all over her skin. They also charge for removing gel on your toes. $60 total for a pedicure. So overpriced and if you got either of our techs, SO not worth it! Will not be back. read more

Decent manicure - not as great as I used to think they were. I've come here on and off for a couple of years, shaping could be more consistent but that's fine, but what bothered me this last time is that the polka dot design I requested was a bit uneven but worse they didn't let the dots cure long enough so I had a few nails that have some smudging on them. read more

Update: Went back and someone fixed them - put gel on top of the dip base for a cleaner French look. Update: apparently Jenny did these pink nails and was joking that her name was Mai since Mai was right there she thought it was funny. She knew I was trying to find someone to do my wedding nails so I'm not sure why she would joke about that necessarily. So I scheduled with Mai next time I went back and she did my second set. Would not repeat French dip they look pretty cloudy acrylic with gel is probably the way to go if you want french. Feeling a bit disappointed. read more

I got a French manicure and they convinced and yelled at me to get once I got me 10 extra even though I brought my own in and then also they said wouldn't come off in the I was swimming and after, but it peeled right off and I didn't get a refund. They convinced me that dry was way better than regular polish. Charge me $10 my regular polish on my toes didn't come off, but the dazzle draw on my fingers came off in the pool. Visited this location twice now, first time on a whim to get a quick pedicure before going out of town. Quick basic pedicure was just that, technician was polite, quick and did a nice job. I would rate that experience a 4. Went again to get the next level pedicure, that included a hot towel & more attention to cracked/dry skin. Aside from the warm towels this did not feel any different than the basic pedicure but was $15 more. The technician was again polite and quick, but next time I'll stay with the basic pedicure. To be fair I did have different technicians so perhaps that had something to do with it? Overall, if you are looking for a nice basic pedicure I would recommend. I have been going to Bliss off and on for several years and really enjoy coming here to get my nails done. I usually get dip powder and go with whatever tech is available. There is some variety in what I walk away with each time but no matter who I work with I am satisfied with the nails. The salon is always clean and they have great customer service. Can't beat the service, ambience and price here in my opinion. I did the $40 Express pedicure which was all I needed. And the "express" name is a little deceiving. They did offer callus removal for an additional $10, but everything else you would expect from a pedicure was included. I just want to start off by saying I get my nails done religiously and I am new to the area so I need a new nail tech. I paid $80 for a fill.. no designs. and my nails weren't even shaped. I had to go home and file my nails into the correct shape. I don't know if I got someone who doesn't know how to do acrylic nails but the first thing she said to me was "I never do acrylics" so I should've known then to get up and leave. My nails are bumpy, and she kept dabbing on more acrylic without even brushing it out. I have a nail so crooked and it's so much shorter than all my other nails. Very happy with my nails. I got dipped powder on my hands and a regular pedi. Both turned out exactly how I wanted. The service was very friendly and very accommodating. I asked if it was possible to get the services done quickly as I had to rush home to my newborn baby, and they were able to deliver great results on my very tight schedule. I did think it was a little strange to have to make a $20 deposit when I called to make an appointment but now understand that unlike some other nail places that will take walk ins even when they are not properly staffed and have appointments on the books, Bliss takes pride in honoring your appointment time, which to me is very important. Prices seemed comparable to other nail salons in the surrounding area. I also liked that this salon was clean and I was offered a bottle of water without having to ask for it. Enjoyed it here. I am working in the area and I read the yelp reviews and tried it out. I wasn't disappointed. The salon was hard to find as the little shopping block it is on is under construction. I called on a Thursday evening an hour before close and they told me to go right in for a gel manicure. I had a pleasant nail experience with Bella. I chose a very neutral deep, shiny navy blue. I generally only go with neutrals like black, grey, cherry red that I carry with me (chick flick cherry by OPI) or nude. I have received many compliments on my nails. I admit, they looked good. My husband and I called a week in advanced to schedule a mani pedi with an expired Groupon. The gentleman on the phone assured us that they would honor the amount paid ($98) towards the service we scheduled for. On the day of our appointment, they refused to honor the Groupon, as they no longer have the app. The technician refused to contact Groupon, "stating their customer service sucks," and said she had a client and could not call. We told her that we were their 9:30 appointments and we asked them to call. She continued to refused and said we can continue with our service, pay full price, then give them a few days to see if they can reimburse our $98 or call Groupon ourselves. read more

While in Wayzata, I had hours to kill so a mani /pedi made total sense. I walked in and there are a lot of people working here. I was lucky to get Bella who is very skilled. She used an updated gel nail dryer that I've never seen before as opposed to the old clunky ones. She had a regular customer appointment so she wasn't able to do the pedicure. One thing I found strange was that they don't have the thing to hold up your foot while doing the scraping involved. Instead they hold up your foot with their hand. That part didn't last too long and wasn't as smooth as I'm used to.It's not very effective on me at least, because to hold my leg up for any period of time, you need to qualify for the Iron Man competition. I love their wide variety of colors and the stick style thing to display. So if you have hours to kill, its a great place to do it. read more

I've had two good experiences at Bliss Nails in Wayzata. A polish change and pedicure were very good, the price was reasonable and getting an appointment was easy. However I just had a full manicure that was most disappointing. My nail tech must have been having a bad day. She rushed through the manicure and pretty much skipped rubbing in hand lotion. My nails were long and she clipped them too short. I picked out the Vinylux polish that I always use. Even though I mentioned that you don't use a base coat she started to apply it. Another tech came over and corrected her. The polish application was ok, but I did notice a few flaws in the polish. She finished and sat me at the dryers without a word. I timed my 10 minutes drying and left. I'm not sure if I'll come back, with all the good choices in the area I'll probably stay with my favorite place, Nail Montage. read more

I'm so incredibly disappointed. I have been going to Bliss nails for about 1 1/2 years. I have always enjoyed my conversations with Bella and the other nail techs were so great in the past. I went to the Owner today since they were short staffed. I had been to her before and wasn't happy but let it go. She was in a such a rush with me being 5 minutes late. I could tell she was crabby and I tried to cheer her up talking about different foods we both enjoyed. This truly shouldn't be my job and I'm paying for a service. The guy who checks you in was not aware that I should get my nails done before my pedicure. Poor communication among the staff about timing and then she rushed through my dipping powder service. Then when several nails did not look good, she admitted she rushed and that I was talking too much so that's why I had them not turn out well. She left my nails with white powder all over them and didn't even apply lotion to my hands. Very shocking. Bella never was like this. The Owner said it was my fault. I did not stay for my pedicure, as much as I TRULY NEEDED IT! I left very upset and paid $50. I ended up walking back in and said this was not acceptable to do to a long time guest. I have been an incredibly friendly guest and pay/tip very well. Usually 25-30% tip. I enjoy friendly conversation. If a client shouldn't talk during the service, they should let a client know that! I will never return again if that is how the Owner treats clientele. read more

I brought my young daughters in to have applied a powder dip with a gel color on their nails. No polish of any sorts needed to be removed, they didn't need their fingernails filed or trimmed, no cuticle work done, just plain polish. It took Vivian less than 20 minutes per child and she wanted to charge me $45 a child. And when I questioned the charges; she proceeded to argue with me.
