I decided to visit Threading Bar Salon & Spa after reading a mix of reviews. Some of the waxing…read morereviews honestly made me a little nervous, so I opted for threading instead and specifically requested Rani after seeing her name mentioned positively. There was a bit of a wait when I arrived, so I grabbed something to eat and came back a little later. When I returned, I only had to wait a few more minutes. Overall, I think the service was fair for the $8 price point. There were a couple of things that affected my experience. I was next in line, but another customer approached, and I heard Rani reassure them, "Just two minutes." While I understand wanting to acknowledge waiting customers, it made me worry that my appointment was going to be rushed. Personally, I'd rather wait a few extra minutes if it means the person providing my service can take their time and focus on the client they're currently with. During the threading, the thread snapped several times. At one point, it snapped hard enough that it went inside of my closed eye. I know accidents happen, and I wasn't upset about the mistake itself, but it did make the experience uncomfortable. Slowing down a bit could help make the service feel smoother and more relaxing. That said, I want to give credit where it's due. Rani was very detail-oriented when it came to shaping my eyebrows. She took the time to make sure they were even, well-groomed, and nicely trimmed. Right after my appointment, I wasn't sure how I felt about the final result. Now that a couple of days have passed, I've actually grown to really like them. Looking back, I appreciate how clean and polished my eyebrows look. Overall, I'd describe my experience as mixed. The actual quality of the eyebrow shaping was very good, but the threading experience itself left me a little uneasy. I'm still undecided about whether I'll return, but I can definitely say that Rani does nice work when it comes to shaping brows.

If you're ever in the Irving area - come here for threading! I say it's even worth the drive!!…read more While living in Seattle my favorite threading salon was named Khoobsurat, so I was drawn by the name. The location is in a strip mall/type area so, it may be a little difficult to find. I was the only one there and greeted with warmth, and a smile that's worth more than gold! Finally I've found a non-trendy threading salon that exceeded my expectations. The price was only $5 for brows and $2 for my lip! I'll post before and after pics- that's how impressed I was.

There is not enough that I can say about Rosie's Artistry! I found her through an internet search…read morethe day before we planned to take our engagement pictures. Even last minute, she was very accommodating. She did my makeup (airbrush) and styled my hair on my lunch break, and it looked great for our shoot after work! Before the engagement pictures, I had someone in mind to hire for the wedding. But after working with Rosie, I changed my mind! She is not only incredibly talented, but she is so sweet and cares about making you feel special. For the wedding makeup/hair trial, I tried the traditional makeup (not airbrush). My appointment was at 8:30 am and it lasted ALL DAY!!! Our wedding was 10/23/15, an extremely rainy day. She did makeup for my 5 bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother-in-law. I had a very diverse group of bridesmaids, and she chose styles that complimented all of their skin tones beautifully. My makeup was last, and she combined airbrush with some hand contouring. I have super frizzy wavy/curly-ish hair, but I wanted to wear it half up-half down. Whatever product she used prevented it from frizzing, despite the wetness and humidity! I felt incredibly beautiful, and I honestly think it is so important on your special day to be bursting with confidence. Please give Rosie a call and try her services, you won't be disappointed!!!

Maybe it is because I am able to relax for a few moments. Pricing is reasonable and they offer other services, including brow tinting, lamination, lash services and facials.
