There was a bit of a wait when I arrived, so I grabbed something to eat and came back a little later. When I returned, I only had to wait a few more minutes. Overall, I think the service was fair for the $8 price point. There were a couple of things that affected my experience. I was next in line, but another customer approached, and I heard Rani reassure them, "Just two minutes." While I understand wanting to acknowledge waiting customers, it made me worry that my appointment was going to be rushed. Personally, I'd rather wait a few extra minutes if it means the person providing my service can take their time and focus on the client they're currently with. During the threading, the thread snapped several times. At one point, it snapped hard enough that it went inside of my closed eye. I know accidents happen, and I wasn't upset about the mistake itself, but it did make the experience uncomfortable. Slowing down a bit could help make the service feel smoother and more relaxing. That said, I want to give credit where it's due. Rani was very detail-oriented when it came to shaping my eyebrows. She took the time to make sure they were even, well-groomed, and nicely trimmed. Right after my appointment, I wasn't sure how I felt about the final result. Now that a couple of days have passed, I've actually grown to really like them. Looking back, I appreciate how clean and polished my eyebrows look. Overall, I'd describe my experience as mixed. The actual quality of the eyebrow shaping was very good, but the threading experience itself left me a little uneasy. I'm still undecided about whether I'll return, but I can definitely say that Rani does nice work when it comes to shaping brows.

Now I do have sensitive skin which sometimes breaks out and I'm not blaming her for that. I however had never had cuts on my eyes from threading. I've had wonderful artists in the past, so your claim that I "never found anyone good" is another lie. Lizzie at Tejas is an incredible artist who does flawless microblading, and Christina in St. Louis (who I went to for over a decade and now owns the Wink salon chain) always gave me perfect brows. You also lied about refunding me. You told me you would, then went back on your word -- which is a very small price to pay considering you've botched my face for months. Most importantly, you did not listen to anything I asked. I specifically said I wanted fluffy, tapered tails and told you not to take from the top to avoid heaviness. Instead, you ripped off the tails and repeatedly waxed the top until I was left red and blistered for the first time in my life. You ignored every word I said. It doesn't take skill to do a Brazilian, but brows require artistry, attention, and respect. Do not go to her for your brows. She lies, she doesn't listen, and she ruined mine.
