I had come here for the longest time when a newbie worked on my brows and she cut off too much in one section and now no hair can grow from there. I have been trying to grow out my eyebrows and make them thicker for almost 2 years now. It's just not working. Needless to say, I have not come back here again. Everyone else is great, I just wish management would have trained better and allowed people who were 100% comfortable in doing eyebrows to tend to threading instead of just pushing them on clients. read more

I stumbled upon this shop last winter when I first moved to Irving. I was on a mission to find someone that could do my eyebrows- and I hit the jackpot. These ladies are threaders, and the best I have ever seen in my entire life. I have never gotten as many compliments on my brows as I have since I started going to these girls. Mona is amazing- she is quick, effiencent, and can rock a great arch. I love them so much, that I have had girlfriends come up from Austin just to get their brows done! A total success! Not bad prices- they have a membership plan that gets you a discount if you are a repeat customer- which I am- I think its saves a few bucks off of each service. I got my eyebrows threaded for the first time ever today at Styles of India Salon, after reading the good reviews on yelp, and I have to say "Thank you girls!". I am now a fan and will be going regularly from now on. Like I said I have never had my eyebrows threaded before, I always did my own with a tweezer, but after seeing someone getting their eyebrows threaded on TV, I was curious and had to find out for myself. I did make an appointment, but the whole experience took about 10 mins, I doubt that an appointment is needed at this place. I literally parked my car at 1.01 and got back into my car again at 1.12. The process did not really hurt, and I did have red batches where I was threaded, but that went away by the time I got home. And my eyebrows do look so good! The reason why I took away a star is because when I got home and looked more closely I realized 1 hair was out of place and I fixed it with my tweezer, other than that it was perfect! read more

I used to go to a different location and enjoyed it but when I moved to the area I was excited to find out this location was so close to me . I honestly am not as happy here as I was at the other location . Every time i sit in the chair to do my brows , I get asked if I want to do other spots or told how bad my eyebrows have gotten and that I need to come more frequently . Talk about a bummer , I don't look that bad !! When I go to pay I'm always getting a sales pitch about getting a membership , and then when I get home I still have to pluck what they missed . I was in the building for another service when I stumbled upon this threading salon. The women working inside were friendly and welcoming, and, as my brows hadn't been done in a while, I decided to try threading for the first time. Easily one of the best hair removal decisions of my life! Anju did my full face, and I was so impressed by how quickly and expertly she moved. Before coming here I had only had my brows waxed, and they always looked slightly off, no matter where I went. Not anymore! Anju shaped my brows beautifully, and I was thrilled with how natural and elegant they looked. The rest of my face (which I had never removed hair from) was also super soft. I found this place by searching Yelp for threading and I found this gem near my house-I thought, why not give it a try. After reading others reviews I came in with great expectations. At first I was confused when I walked because the huge mirror takes up a whole wall and give the impression of four chairs in the tiny room, yet there are only two. I got my eyebrows done by the middleaged woman, Shanaz. After she was done, I loved my eyebrows! Also I was done in 10 minutes:) Don't forget the student discount - $7 dollars! I've come here about three times now since moving to Dallas. I don't have a particular lady that I go to because very time I've been there are no familiar faces. All of them have done a decent job and I can't complain because my eyebrows weren't horrendously threaded. This last time I went I got a lady who really shaped them nicely and cleaned them up. She is only there on Thursday from 9 am to 1pm. There is also a membership that you can join for $25 for the year which gives you 20% off their prices. The shop is dirty and the techs are surly. My brows came out patchy and the threading around my mouth took off some skin; it was very painful and unsightly. I went for the first time a few months ago, and I said to myself that I'd never go back. Then why did I find myself there again today?! Because my brows need maintenance, and this shop is convenient to my office. I checked Yelp again, and saw good reviews, so I thought I'd give it another shot. As I sat waiting my turn, I had a gnawing, bad feeling and my inner voice told me to flee. Thank goodness I did. I got the stink eye on the way out. Based off of the yelp reviews, I decided to try this place out a few weeks ago only to be thwarted by a competitor across the hall instead. I got confused, had my eyes threaded by another lady, and never got a chance to try again until today! This place is inside the Hightower Salon building right off of the 635 service road and Macarthur. When you walk in, there's usually someone sitting at the front desk to help direct you where to go (I did not have someone the last time I came by... hence the mix up). Styles of India will the 2nd door to your left when you walk by the hall on the right. OK, so how was it? EVERYTHING I IMAGINED AND MORE! I've gotten my eyes threaded many times before and it's never looked as good as when this lady did it. There's only 2 chairs so there may be wait, but it's worth it! Plus, if you tell them you're a student (they didn't check my ID), you get the discounted rate of $7 instead of $10. Highly recommend this place! But don't come here... Everyone here is wonderful friendly and helpful. Please come here, I know you won't be disappointed. They have been doing my eyebrows for over eight years. The place is nice. The owner always welcomes everyone with a smile. They offer threading and waxing. Your in and out. Which is another reason why I always come. She tried to get me to get more services but in a more insulting way. I didn't appreciate it at all. And she didn't do a good job on my eyebrows. She messed up the left brow. I had never had my brows threaded before coming here, so of course I was a bit nervous. But after having my brows mutilated and uneven by a waxer, I was ready to try anything.. So of course I used Yelp and found this place. It's in a building of suites that have other services as well (hair, nails, etc) which is why I had never noticed it before (I've been in the area since 2010). Anyway, I LOVE this place.There are two ladies that work there, and I have had both do my brows, but I prefer the older lady (who is the owner I assume).I only get brows, but they have upper lip and other threading, and just added facials, etc.. I finally have even eyebrows that actually don't stop short (like they did before). And they have a membership that gives you a discount ($7 or $8 instead of $10, I forget which) and you get free brows for your birthday! This is the third Styles of India location I've visited in the DFW area in the past year, and I've never been disappointed! Like the Hurst location, this one is located in a private suite inside a building of salon suites. It's plenty spacious and clean, and even thought I didn't have an appointment I was able to walk in and get my eyebrows and upper lip done within 10 minutes. Pretty good. I had my student discount and my eyebrow threading was came out to be only seven dollars! I really like my stylist in Plano but sometimes it's just way too far to trek (with the gas prices going sky high) and this is a good alternative. The girl did my eyebrows and upper lip, and it was the most painful experience I've ever had with getting my eyebrows done. She pulled out the hairs LITERALLY one by one and NOBODY should have to go through that. She did my upper lip waxing quite alright, but she wiped it very hard and that made it burn like crazy. I'll probably never go to this place again, because my upper lips are SWOLLEN right now. read more

I used to get my eyebrows waxed, but I realized that it wasn't good for my skin. I asked my coworker where she had gotten her's done, because I loved the shape of her eyebrows, and she said that she got them threaded at the styles of India in Irving. So when I decided to check it out, I saw two ladies who were working so I didn't have to wait. Since it was my first time it hurt a little but when I saw the end result I knew it was worth it because my eyebrows went from being almost a straight line to something that had an actual shape and a defined arch. The prices are reasonable and when they found out that i'm currently a student they gave me a student discount. They charged me 7 dollars for eyebrows.
