She is so dedicated and cares so much about your happiness as a client. Her advice on how to color treat my hair was sincere, honest and not geared towards over-selling me on anything. Over time I have found most of the women working here share that attitude. They will flat out say hey I don't think you should trim right now or I don't think this will work for you... you have no idea how much this level of honesty and integrity matters in the beauty world and that's why I religiously wait to come here every-time I'm in Texas to get my hair done. The salon carries high quality and professional Matrix hair products especially the dye that I have found suits my hair a lot. The first time Sonia did my hair color, my friends and family wouldn't stop complimenting me for weeks. I turned heads everywhere I went and since then I have only come to her trusted abode to make me look and feel fabulous. The first session, she was explaining to me how I needed to refrain from plucking my eyebrows and etc. She works very quick! My eyebrows were in very nice shape. I loved it but there were some skin cuts from the thread and maybe she was too rough. I decided maybe the second time it'll be better- again i had some skin cuts. And she didn't remember me from the first time and asked if i have been there before. The final and third time- the same thing happened. I had some skin irritations but I had my eyebrow threaded before and never had this problem. Lizzie at Tejas is an incredible artist who does flawless microblading, and Christina in St. Louis (who I went to for over a decade and now owns the Wink salon chain) always gave me perfect brows. You also lied about refunding me. You told me you would, then went back on your word -- which is a very small price to pay considering you've botched my face for months. Most importantly, you did not listen to anything I asked. I specifically said I wanted fluffy, tapered tails and told you not to take from the top to avoid heaviness. Instead, you ripped off the tails and repeatedly waxed the top until I was left red and blistered for the first time in my life. You ignored every word I said. It doesn't take skill to do a Brazilian, but brows require artistry, attention, and respect. Do not go to her for your brows. She lies, she doesn't listen, and she ruined mine.

For years, my wife expressed unhappiness with the thinness and irregularity of her eyebrows. She would spend a lot of time every morning filling them in with an eyebrow pencil. She did a good job, but it took up too much time. When she first mentioned wanting to have her eyebrows tattooed on, I was not supportive. To me, it seemed ridiculous to have something so permanent done. What if one of the tattoos was crooked, too thin, too fat, off-center, or who knows what? Ultimately, it was her decision to make. When she finally decided to commit to visiting BrowBeat, I was blown away by the final result. I also learned that the process is called microblading, and it is not the same as traditional tattooing. Microblading does require touchups over time, as fading occurs. This is actually a good thing, since it enables the shape of the eyebrow to be slowly modified if desired as the years progress.
