DELICIOUS!!!! I recommend the philly cheese steak (the Philadelphia)! The blintz's are like burritos but instead of a flour tortilla, it's a very soft pillowy wrap. Wish they were a bit bigger but 10/10 for flavor and uniqueness - there's nothing else like these around NYC!

The Blintz Box with mushrooms and Angry Crab Rangoons

So yummy! I got a Blintz Box with the mushroom blintz and crab rangoons. The mushrooms were so flavorful and the blintz itself was perfectly light. Rangoons were crispy and satisfying. I also thought the slaw was great--mayo based but not too heavy/thick. And can't go wrong with crunchy pickles (you get pickled jalepenos and a pepperoncini in the mix too. Would highly recommend!

I didn't expect anything from this place and they still exceeded my expectations. Sounds crazy? Wait until you hear about this food. Walking through the Underground Market, I saw their sign that said they had a student menu which intrigued me. Upon entering, I was immediately welcomed by everyone inside with smiles (inferred through the masks, of course) and amicable greetings. I was a bit disappointed to find that their student menu is only accessible from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, but it certainly wasn't a dealbreaker for me. I ordered their crispy chicken Blintz Box with a side of fries and a can of Sprite. It came up to $18, which I felt was a bit pricey but, to be fair, part of it was an electronic payment fee. I waited around 5 minutes for the food, so I wasn't standing around for long either. When I opened the box, I had to sit and look at it for a second because the food was arranged like a work of art. With the variety of ingredients, the meal was colorful and awe-inspiring. The quality of each ingredient was absolutely top tier as well. I bit into the first peperoncini and the juice from the pepper squirted across the table; I've never had more plentiful peppers before. The taste was potent and enjoyable. The mix of so many different details like the cucumbers, jalapeños, and chives contributed so much to the meal as a whole. The fries were fried and seasoned very well and it supported the taste behind the chicken. Usually, with meals like this, I expect the crunchiness or crispness of the fries to clash with everything else but that wasn't the case here. The chicken was also prepared well. The meat was thick and the bread crumbs were soft but not soggy; the balance was admirable. Usually, I don't pay coleslaw any mind given my past experience with it but today I decided to give it a try and I certainly don't regret it. The coleslaw didn't overpower everything else with its taste and it provided a creamy and almost sweet sensation that balanced well with the salty and spicy sensations from everything else. The crepes also provided a beautiful texture and held everything together in the process of eating. Overall, the experience of eating this meal was memorable and I will certainly return soon.

Tourist here - just wandering in a random direction coming out of the subway. And suddenly - blintzes! We split a peaches n cream blintz - and it was so yummy! I wish we lived closer so we could try more of the menu!

Oh my God! Tourist here We happened to be walking to the Columbus circle subway station from the shopping center and saw the underground market and strolled though out of curiosity I saw the blintz selection but then I saw a photo in the window of what appeared to be a more authentic food item called belyash. Dough and meat. Perfect for me I didn't know how to pronounce it and the gentleman that checked us out was very patient and friendly. He offered to cut it in half very thoughtful We sat At a table in the marketplace and it was absolutely delicious!! OMG we've paid for meals ranging from $15 to $150 since we've been here and this $8 meal was the best thing I've eaten and the most memorable since we've been in Manhattan The dough was flaky and soft The meat was so moist and flavorful After I finish writing this review I'm going to look for Ukrainian restaurants and neighborhoods because I MUST have more of these rich deep flavors in my life

A side of buckwheat, minus a few bites.

Food: 3.3 Service: 3.2…read moreAmbiance: 3.5 Value: 3 I traveled in to Manhattan from Brooklyn on a Friday at 11am specifically to get a cheesesteak. Fedoroff's is great but pricey, and I remembered Olde City wasn't bad the last time I had it years ago, so I trekked in. Mistake. I should have stayed home. Garlic Parm wings were big and well-sauced, but when I bit in I found they were a bit drier than other wings I've had. And $19 for a plate of wings seems high. Italian fries were the same story - seasoned well, but tough. Nothing like the great ones at Yankee Stadium. When I get tough food I always wonder if they served me reheated leftovers from yesterday. For the cheesesteak, I ordered the "Authentic" which is supposed to come with your choice of cheese (Whiz/American/Provolone/Cooper Sharp/Ghost pepper jack); but I absentmindedly forgot to specify my choice and the server didn't ask me. It was only when the food came and I saw the Whiz when I realized. I would have appreciated a prompt so that I could have gotten Cooper Sharp. It was his first day so maybe he didn't know better. There was another server behind the bar who he was training under. I will give the servers props for giving me the combo price without me asking for it ($18 for cheesesteak, fries, and soda/water). But overall, stuff could have been better. The place was dead. I was one of three people in there but still felt ignored. There's a lot of TVs and a lot of beer options so I can see it being a good place to drink and watch a game. But the food is just ok. Very different than what I remembered.

We have developed a congenial friendship which was founded on La Fermière yogurts. Emre knows that I price shop so invariably I know when the time is right to buy these delicious yogurts at Eden. I often buy Siggi yogurts as here they are $1.99 each. The ladies - Dolores, Affou, Mamata, Savita, Tofu - at the checkout are friendly, kind and remember customers. A few speak French which I practice with them. Being originally Greek, the Dolmas in the prepared food section, are plump and particularly tasty. It's worth buying a few to take home. Adam looks taciturn but always is kind to me. He is behind the deli counter preparing sandwiches and always gives me a quarter pound of the Jambon de Paris. Miguel and Medina are also here. A loyalty card is worth having and once having accumulated many points I paid the princely sum of $1.61 for a pretty bouquet of roses in assorted colors that cost $11.99. Now that's a steal! Eden Gourmet is the sister supermarket to my beloved sadly closed Eden Gourmet of 14th street. This too is packed to the brim with fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, dairy, chicken and meats. A large variety of sparkling waters, frozen entrees, ice creams and assorted temptations are here too. A small bakery has cakes and pastries available. I pop in often to get milk or to see what's new and always to say hello to everyone. I always feel happy coming to Eden Gourmet Marketplace!

You'll get all the usual grocery store sections, including fresh produce and a deli counter in the back. There isn't a ton of variety, with maybe two or three options for most items. But those options are consistently high quality. Whoever is stocking the shelves has good taste! The setup for paying is a bit weird, they've got a long counter up front in lieu of the usual registers with lanes. It can make lines a bit confusing during busier times, but not a dealbreaker by any means.

I arrived at 2pm on a weekday and the guy was doing a deep clean while I ate my sandwich. Love this. I got The Emma - no clue how they arrived at this name. While I was there - a food blogger came in and shot a video. This place is no secret. My only "issue" is that the food is expensive. I TOTALLY get they are using high end ingredients - organics - locally sourced - etc. those items are not cheap. But my sandwich was normal sized - no pickle or any add on item - and I ate in but was not offered a plate or a fork. It's a deli. But for $20+, I can't eat here every day or even multiple times a week. Like NYC, it ain't for everyone and it ain't cheap. But I'll be back!

My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.
