Absolutely the Best BBQ in Nashville - Honey Fire BBQ on Sawyer Brown Rd is a Must-Try!…read more I recently visited Honey Fire BBQ in the Bellevue area and left completely impressed. From the moment you walk in, the place feels welcoming with its clean, modern vibe and that cozy wrap-around covered porch--perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. The star of the show is their slow-smoked meats paired with that signature sweet heat sauce. The brisket was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, the ribs had the perfect bark and fall-off-the-bone texture, and the pulled pork was juicy and delicious. Their house-made sauces (especially the honey-based ones with just the right touch of tangy sweetness and a little kick) elevate everything--I've never tasted BBQ quite like this Nashville twist on tradition. Sides were equally outstanding: the baked beans had a great depth of flavor, the mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the sweet corn pudding was a standout. Everything felt fresh, generous, and made with care. Service was friendly and efficient--true Southern hospitality that made us feel like family. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, this spot delivers every time. If you're in Nashville (or driving through Bellevue), do yourself a favor and head to Honey Fire BBQ on Sawyer Brown Rd. It's become my new go-to for outstanding barbecue. Highly recommend. I will definitely return and bring friends. From our family to yours--thank you, Honey Fire!

I love their BBQ sauce! It's perfect to accompany any of the meats. The Mac & cheese is thick, creamy and so delicious. Hubby ordered the brisket sandwich and devoured it! He got the baked beans and the banana pudding. Btw, the banana pudding is a must! Be sure to save room for it! My daughter ordered the hot chicken sandwich and the Mac & cheese. Everyone was super happy with their meals. They have a full bar but we didn't get alcohol this time.

If you're wanting consistent, delicious barbecue in Middle Tennessee, there are a lot of places I'd…read morerecommend but you can never go wrong with Edley's. Edley's is in fact one of my top places to go and there are several locations around the area. I've been to several and they are all the same, in a good way, because it's consistent. What I've gotten here, I've gotten at the Gallatin, 12th South, and Murphy Road locations. I'm also a man of habit, I love love love barbecue ribs, so I go for that (or brisket) every time. I know I have to eat somewhat healthy, so I do always get the green beans and then pair that up with the mac and cheese. For dessert, if I'm feeling it, I get the chess pie because chess pie is one of my favorite pies of all time. The star of the show here is the ribs. Always the ribs. They are St. Louis style, which I prefer more than baby back ribs. It's a perfect balance of sauce, delicious smoky meat, and a thin layer of fat on the bottom of the rib. What you get is sweet, tangy, rich, and savory tastes in every bite. I know this is gross to some, but that nice bit of crunch from the cartilage off the rib is the icing on the cake! The green beans and mac and cheese are great too, but I don't typically rant/rave about sides unless they blow my mind. Last but not least is the chess pie. I love chess pie because it's, a simple pie that can be made with simple ingredients but is rich and sweet. I mean who doesn't love butter, sugar, and eggs? If you haven't had it, it's a Southern staple!

The once unhelpful website has diminished even more for its practicality or sharing of information (as I just glanced at it again to write this review). Eventually, I decided I would embrace my Gen X upbringing and just call in my order. The voicemail informed me that, "the buffet items are available during the open hours of the restaurant" and to "just come in and give us your order." So, bravely, I hopped in the car and made my way to the historic site. There was a line of folks dutifully side-stepping their way down the buffet selections reminding me of how helpful it would have been to be able to order ahead of time. So, I waited and could peripherally see the customer's heads behind me droop a tad when I declared that I had "Three to-go orders." They did not have the pulled pork on the buffet despite the website claiming otherwise. So, two roasted chicken and one meatloaf plates with assorted veggies, two desserts, and an additional ten minutes and I was on my way. The chicken, simply, wasn't cooked to completion and had to be put in the oven at home to prevent bacterial experimentation, home edition. The veggies were without awe or seasoning. My meatloaf was "okay." The two desserts were "not okay" and tasted more of dough than treat. There are far better meat & three's in Nashville and I wish this one was better. I wish the website allowed one to place an online order, it would also be nice if the website offered the actual menu items available so decisions can be made. The mansion, its history and grounds are amazing...go visit them...but, plan on eating off-site.

Really like the flavor of their burgers.... BUT whatever you do.... DO NOT ORDER THEM TO-GO!!!!!…read more I don't know what they are thinking but definitely some bad judgement here. Their to-go orders don't come in any type of containers, not even a tray (heck even paper trays would do); they just throw ALL of their fried food in brown PAPER bags!!!! WTF?!!! We were expecting the fried food to be a little soggy since it is fried and impossible to be crispy when it got home.... BUT... since they throw all fried foods in these small brown PAPER bags, by the time it gets home, the food is all smooshed together and the brown bag is soaked in grease. When we ordered this, the bags were so soaked that were tearing up just by picking them up! They shouldn't do to-go orders if they don't have the appropriate containers!!!

The oatmeal stout was so delicious and the bartenders were so sweet. I'd love to eat there next time, because the inside of the place is very nostalgic and clean and full of personality! There were christmas lights and neon signs all over, casting the whole place in pretty, colorful light. Great experience overall.

I know that's obnoxious to write but in my head I am still breaking news, not piling on. In any event, there's a reason why so many people have such good things to say about F&F. They're the real deal. Unlike many food trucks in Nashville, F&F advertised their location. So, on an unusually warm Friday night in late winter, I decided to venture over to Elmington Park and treat myself. Despite my best efforts, I arrived close to their closing time. I was afraid I was out of luck for this artisan goodness but the nice lady in the truck smiled at me, took my order and had me wait for what they were whipping up. As the sun set, I hung out in my car and waited for the electric buzz of happiness. After an appropriate wait, I buzzed, picked up my grub and headed home. Because I'm fancy, I poured myself a glass of cabernet sauvignon. Because I'm not classy, I left the pizza in the box rather than put it on a plate. At first appearance, my bbbq chicken pizza wasn't that large. This isn't a large meat-lover's from Domino's. This is artisan pie. The crust was fluffy, interesting in texture and flavorful (on its own) in taste. The pie, while small, was packed with flavor. I could tell these were choice ingredients I was eating. It was a bbq pizza so that means a bbq sauce base -- but to the bbq, cilantro was a present (not dominant) ingredient. It made each bite unique. This was not your usual bbq chicken pizza. Atop the sauce was a gouda/mozzarella blend that perfectly suited the sauce. Honestly, the pizza would have been good just like that. The marinated chicken (seasoned, not dry), bacon and onions added to the new spin on an old favorite. I enjoyed every bite. The fatty inside me wanted more but I can understand the restraint inherent within 'artisan.' That said, I wouldn't turn down a bigger pie. Like I said: classy.
