On the inside, you could tell that the restaurant was a little older. The service was very friendly, although not fast they weren't slow either. They had numerous lunch and dinner menu items available. I began to order the chicken stew, but was informed that they were all out. So I decided to have to fried pork chop dinner with rice and salad. I also ordered a Chicharron and cheese pupusa and a baleada. The pork chop was very tasty as was the rice. However, I did not care for the beans and the plantains were decent. The pupusa was very tasty. Definitely my most favorite part of the lunch. Especially, the spicy pickled cabbage. On the other hand, I did not too much care for the baleada. They served us complementary catrachas topped with beans. They were OK. Overall, I thought the food was very good and genuinely authentic.

This is a Honduran restaurant and majority of the staff speak Spanish. So just know you will be pointing at your food unless you speak Spanish. However, they are super sweet, helpful and patient. I can't tell you the name of what I ordered but the picture is on the menu so you won't have issues finding it. The chicken and steak is always seasoned to perfection! I have yet to get a bad order of food. The tortillas are also made to order so they're very fresh. They have scriptures all over the restaurant as well as Christian music playing in Spanish. I love that!! The only downside is the parking is VERY complicated. You park right off the street and it's a REALLY busy street.

Located in a relatively nondescript little building off of Nolensville Pike, a little past K&S Market, Laura's can be easy to miss. There's a dedicated free parking lot (which, admittedly could use some upkeep) in the back of the building. The inside is no frills but very clean and with friendly, attentive service. I came on a Sunday at peak lunch time and it was pretty sparse but slowly started filling up a bit. One main waitress took my order. I wanted to try a little bit of several things so got queso dip, authentic chicken tacos, shrimp tacos, a chicken Gordita, and a side of their hot sauce. As expected you get complimentary chips and salsa. These were tasty, went well with the perfect, drippy queso to start off the meal. The tacos were next: simple but very flavorful. Chicken and shrimp topped corn tortillas with finely chopped red onion, cilantro, snd crumbly delicious cotija cheese, served with wedges of lime and their hot sauce. These were awesome, very authentic, perfectly cooked, and tasty. The hot sauce was pretty spicy but also quite flavorful - it's a must order! The real standout of the meal was the Gordita. Even one is quite large. It was stuffed to the brim with refried beans, chicken, lettuce, and cotija. I added salsa and hot sauce. It mostly held together despite being so stuffed but was so, so delicious. The homemade masa flour covering was still hot from cooking when it came to me and exactly what I was craving. I was honestly too full to try more, but already thinking about my next visit. They've got a decent selection of Mexican items as well as some Honduran and Salvadoran specialties. Very reasonable prices and awesome, attentive service. A must try fit authentic Mexican in Nashville!

The fajita nachos are one of my fave nachos in all of Nashville. The queso in the nachos is perfectly mixed into the dish and the peppers complement the steak perfectly. The Jamaica is very delicious and fresh. The quesadillas are toasted just right and have a saltiness to the flour that helps the quesadilla be a star. The service is good, but a little too on top of us. I'm a slow eater and I don't like to feel rushed and the server asked like 5 times if we were good and if I needed a to go box. I just wanted to peacefully eat my nachos in the restaurant. The inside is pretty big and they do play sports on the TV.

It is in a hidden strip plaza behind a Jack in the Box and the only way to know that a restaurant is here is by what appears to be a homemade sign above the storefront. Walking in I was greeted by a woman and a little girl perhaps five-years-old, maybe six-years-old at the most. She certainly wanted to help what I assume is her mother. I ordered two pupusas off of the menu, as well as a carne asada taco. Be advised that the prices must have got up because on the menu the pupusas were $2.50 and the taco was a dollar fifty. And yet my total with those two items and a bottle of water, which was advertised for a dollar, came out to me over $9. Not a big hiking price and honestly, it is what I would expect to pay for this food. It does bear mentioning. They had giant containers of the Salvadorian coleslaw. Which goes with pupusas. I genuinely enjoyed this coleslaw, as I always do. The pupusas were good at the taco was decent. Nashville, Tennessee it's a city that has some fantastic pupusas. Honestly, I tell people that my favorite city that I have had pupusas in so far is Nashville. While these were good, I have had better in Nashville. I am still giving this establishment five stars because in there a little corner of the world, or at least their corner of Nashville, Tennessee, we were pretty much the only game in town. So this save me about a fifteen or twenty minute drive each way.
