Then they transformed it into this beautiful waterproof cover with a ceiling fan and dimming lights and they even were able to add additional outlets in the legs so that we could have easier access to electricity! During the planning process, I thought I just wanted to have a flat cover, but they suggested doing the gable roof where it pitches in the middle and then we could add our fan because it followed the roof line. I never would've thought of that and I love that we did it. They were fast, they communicated well, they pulled permits for us. The quality is well worth the price! Although there was some delay and miscommunication between the two companies, EP never abandoned the project and found ways to satisfy the requirements of US. Also, when there was concern about rain accumulation from the result of the cover creating a gap between the roof and the cover, EP came over and came up with a solution that we hope works come winter. We had a 20-foot automatic awning installed today by Sun Blinds. The blind extends over our back…read moredeck. The fabric is from Sunbrella. The arms supporting the blinds are driven by a remotely controlled motor that runs quietly and smoothly. We contacted SunBlinds initially through Costco, which is giving us 20% back on the total. Our interactions with the Sunblinds people have been great, from the rep who came out to our house for the quote to the installation crew led by Hunter. Hunter and his assistant did an excellent job on the installation and Hunter took the time to explain how to use all the features with very useful tips on using the blinds. The installed awning works perfectly, and we are thrilled to finally be able to sit comfortably on our south-facing deck during the midday sun. Overall, a 5-star experience. We heartily recommend Sun Blinds and will use them again if we need blinds in the future.
