I carefully measured my window openings to the 1/4 inch. I spoke to a salesperson DIRECTLY and described every aspect of what I was looking for. I wanted a T slot system to keep the room moisture away from freezing windows. I was assured that they guaranteed they would fit. It took a few weeks to get the blinds. The mechanisms were EXTREMELY cheaply made and the mounting system was poor. When I went to install them...every single one didn't fit the window....they are too wide. I called customer support and got the answer.."I measured incorrectly. " I measured the openings again..and my numbers were spot on. Next they demanded MULTIPLE photographs of a tape measure actually showing the numbers..top and bottom width and length. This was 15 pictures...which took 2 people and some time. EVEN WITH MY ORIGINAL MEASUREMENTS THEY SAID THEY WERE INCORRECT!!! At this point I contacted my credit card company that was an absolute waste of time..their answer "yes..you did order shades" big help. At this point I have poorly made shades that don't fit and a company that won't even acknowledge the numbers on my tape measure. My advice..NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE FOR ANYTHING! EVEN IF THE SHADES FIT..THE QUALITY IS LESS THAN HOME DEPOT JUNK. If I could give them a zero star rating I would. I will NEVER buy blinds online ever again. I used them 5 years ago, and was very impressed with the 4 sets of blinds I ordered. I ordered a replacement for one of them due to a paint color change in a bedroom. I ordered the set in May, and they took 2 months to get them to me due to the Covid issue. OK, no huge deal, even though it cut timing close in me getting my house ready for sale. Well, the blinds came in defective, so I called them and asked for a refund. I didn't have 2 months to wait for another set. The girl on the line told me to send pictures. I did, and no response. I called back, and the same girl told me they would have to wait for the manufacturer to OK a refund (what? that's your problem, being the distributor. You get your money back from them). Anyway, 2 weeks go by, and I get an email telling me the new set will be manufactured in 2 weeks and they would send me tracking. OK, no refund, and fortunately I sold my house defective blinds and all. I'll be nice and give the buyer the new blinds. Well 2 weeks go by, and no email with tracking. I email them with no response. Fortunately, I purchased these defective blinds with Paypal, and I sent the info on to their resolution center. The next day, Blinds Chalet refunds my money. Bottom line: Was it really worth $60 for them to lose a customer, then to have that customer write this review? Blinds Chalet should have refunded me upon my first call. Instead, they tried to cheap out, push the problem to their supplier, and fail to take care of a repeat customer. Not exactly stellar customer service... read more

Ordered 10 2" blinds. We paid a little more for the measure guarantee. The blinds we very nice. So glad we paid the extra because even though I measured correctly, I ordered the wrong size on one blind. Blinds Chalet replaced the one I goofed on. The awesome part if these blinds was that the decorative headers were magnetized. No putting up little hangers. We just had to slap them up to the headers. They look awesome. read more

My blinds took longer to ship during covid 19. But I was satisfied with my blinds when I got them. The color was stainless steel and matched all of my appliances in my kitchen. Added a nice sleek stylish touch. The blinds were light weight and fit perfectly. The hanging brackets looked a little intimidating, like they would've been difficult to mount but thankfully I didn't have to use them. Not happy with this company. I ordered Blinds for windows and Vertical blinds. It took way longer for the order to arrive. When it did arrive. They sent to wrong brackets for the vertical blinds. I called them and they said they would send out the correct brackets immediately. The said it would take a few days. 8 days later I called again. They said they would ship it today. WTF! Stay away from this company. They are cheap so I ordered about 20 blinds through them and hoped they would last at least through their 3 year warranty. After less than 1.5 years they are already starting to break. I called the company and was told they would have to check with the manufacturer. I have to send the blinds back at my expense for them to fix them. so much for a warranty. they just lost my business. Difficult lesson to learn read more

Purchased some blinds from them with lifetime warranty back in 2012, recently tilt mechanism on 2 of the blinds failed. Contacted them for warranty, they told me the manufacturer of the blind is no longer in business, so the warranty is no longer honored. They provide me with another website to purchase the replacement parts, so much for lifetime warranty. I was told by the representative Blind Chalet acts as a broker and they do not manufacture the blinds, and most wear and tear does not covered by warranty after 1- 3 years. In conclusion, the warranty is dictated by the life of the manufacturer of the blind you purchase, so don't let the life time warranty fool you, all you can do is to pray for the manufacturer of your blind is still in business when you make the warranty claim. read more

2 stars for samples -- I was impressed with how quickly Blinds Chalet got me samples of their blinds. I decided to get a designer blind for my bathroom. Measured twice, submitted my order, waited two weeks -- and got something with the dimensions swapped from what I had said. I checked the email: sure enough, the confirmation had them backwards. In retrospect, I should have been vigilant about them getting the order wrong, but I buy things online all the time and never really have a problem. Anyway, I called customer service and waited for awhile, and gave up without ever speaking to a human being. Sent an email, and got a call back a couple days later. The person who called me basically said it's my fault, they accept absolutely no returns or exchanges, and they'll make another one for "40%" off--which sounds good until you realize that their website always lists everything at "33%" off. So they were offering me a 7% discount, or bubkes. I told them thanks but no thanks. read more

I ordered 6 blinds from here. They arrived on time. When I went to install the first one, there was a 1.5 inch gap from the top and the first slat did not open and close. When i wound and unwound the blinds, they would become all crooked. The blind was not usuable at all, after all the work of installing it. I went on to look at all the other blinds and they had the same issues. I called and spoke to Meagan Jones and she insisted I email her a photo. I did this, and made a video of all the issues. She said that she would contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer said that I should just use my hand to fix the flat defective blind and said that the blinds being crooked when rolled up was a common problem. They didn't address my other issue. I had to file a dispute with Paypal, and then my credit card company. I was issued a refund. Please go somewhere else and purpase blinds. I know they're cheap but its not worth the hassle and frustration. read more

I would never order from them again. I thought I would get good blinds at a reasonable price. What I got was the LOWEST QUALITY POSSIBLE blinds and parts with cheezy, warped valences. Since we take pride in our home, these blinds will likely be replaced. Don't make our mistake, look elsewhere. The generic blinds at any discount store would be as good if not better and cost a fraction of what I paid. Ordered six blinds, the largest arrived damaged. I've made two purchases at Blinds Chalet over the years and both transactions went through without a problem. The products I received were as advertised and the fit was perfect. If I recall correctly, there were some rebates offered through Fatwallet.com, which is how I heard about this company (not sure if they still offer those rebates). The cost was significantly lower than any local vendor or home improvement store and we were happy with the quality of the blinds. Just recently I moved to a new house and brought one of the vertical blinds with us to cover our back sliding door. Unfortunately, the mounting brackets got lost during the move, so I contacted Blinds Chalet and they were able to send me replacement mounting brackets.
