Valley Custom Carpenters helped me restore a very large ornately carved bookshelf. I contacted Eric…read moreand got an immediate response and a quick appointment for him to visit my home and see the bookshelf in person. The shelf needed some custom trim work done to match the wood stain and overall design. I asked for a "built in" look for the bookshelf given its large size, so it feels like a main feature in the room. From start to finish, Eric exceeded my expectations for the project. He was a pleasure to work with, very responsive to my requests, and fairly priced for the work he did. The fact that he has a design background in addition to carpentry skills set him apart from other woodworkers and "handymen" in the area. (I hate to even throw that handyman term out in relation to Eric because he is truly an artist!!!) The bookshelf repair and custom trim project took a couple of weeks total to complete as he squeezed me into his schedule between larger jobs, but the work turned out perfectly and was totally worth the wait! Eric did some of the work on site at my home (measuring and cutting), but completed other aspects at his own workshop (staining and fine details), before returning to do the final install. I'd love to hire Valley Custom Carpenters again for another project or two. The quality of the work and the excellent customer service can't be beat! Thank you Eric!

Not only did they design the structure for me, they also built it. It's an all in one shop! I was very impressed with the quality of work and craftsmanship. I would highly recommend them in the future to anyone who needs work - not only custom carpentry, but also design work.

As this will be my first listing, I wanted to be sure that I did everything right for my Sellers. So I asked Christine to help me. She LISTENS first! And then asks questions BEFORE jumping in with her suggestions. END RESULT: She gave me much more than I expected. She not only told me what to take out, what to leave in and where to place furniture, art and knick knacks, but she also made some very concrete suggestions on additional items that could be done for little to no cost. And one final note, she always keeps the cost in mind and does her best to maximize her client's investment. I will definitely work with Christine again on future listings as well as my own personal residence. Her sense of color and artistic arrangement are spot on.

We are type "A" do it yourselfers but are absolutely certain that we would not have achieved the same results without Christine's guidance. Her help has paid off in more ways than one. We received $85,000 above our asking price on our most recent home sale. With Christine's help we are now doing it right the first time without any costly mistakes or delays due to indecision. Her support throughout the stress of the remodeling process has been invaluable to us. She has our deepest respect and gratitude. Thank you Christine for being in our corner.

They were just finishing up but we had hired them for other jobs, when we had a water pipe break in our house. Their guy that was probably the best employee they have, Boone came over the day we were dealing with the water damage and said he would be back to fix the doors after we get this flood situation handled. During that time while they were painting our interior of our house, Zeb had another contractor come into our home and put epoxy flooring in our garage. We told him we wanted the specs in the paint so it's non-slip....no he puts on the epoxy, all one color. Said he gave us a steal of a deal. He lied! He also painted our back pool area and patio, but they painted over stuff on the patio that they didn't clean off and used just plain average paint which was peeling off in 2 days! This wasn't an epoxy covering nor is it 20 degrees cooler as described by Mason, Zeb's sub-contractor. This guy, Mason has a bad temper and doesn't back his work just like Zeb, and clearly has no people skills. He tried to say my husband was rude to him but the truth is, my husband asked him why he didn't do the work he said he was going to do along with proved him wrong about our drain actually draining when this Mason got defensive and rude. We are the home owners and paying for their services, we have the right to ask what happened and why it was done wrong! Never has Zeb even come to look at this nightmare job Mason did but he contracted him and paid him. $2000 out the door and both jobs need redone within a month of completion. Then the final straw....we hired Zeb to pour concrete and put in an RV Gate preflood as well. Concrete pour was the only good thing Zeb's subcontractors did at our home. He was paid to haul the rock and boulders off but left an entire pile in my backyard of rock. Zeb was told several times and even walked over to our neighbors RV gates to be sure he understood what we wanted and expected of him when building this RV gate. Zeb was determined his way was the only way! He talked down to me and basically said I know nothing as a woman and he was the contractor/expert, not me! My comment to that is, I am your paying customer and you do as I tell you! I fired them when they were putting in the posts for the RV gate because they were not following what we as the home owners wanted nor what our HOA required. He has 6" posts on each side inside the 10' gate area, cutting us out of an entire foot to put our trailers into the side gate. What they were putting in would not work and he knew we had to put a boat and a trailer back behind this gate! We hired another gate guy whom came out and corrected all the issues, poured concrete into the block walls to stablize it and do it right for half of what Zeb/Home Envisions charged us. Zeb still has our $1200 for the RV Gate which was not even the full price we were supposed to pay. Yes he raped us on this one! Zeb's office manager/worker offered me a good faith one time payment of $500 to resolve all of this but the reality is, I have a $3800 door that was destroyed, an epoxy floor in my garage which needs completely redone now due to scratches ($1500) and the back patio needs redone ($800) because neither job was done according to what we paid for and poor product used, an incomplete paint job which would be about $500 in repairs and touchups, blinds that were broken and never reinstalled, ceiling fans that were put up and wired incorrectly which we paid an extra $200 for this since we bought a couple new fans, drip marks throughout my house on walls and doors, had to rehang interior doors because they put them back up with drywall screws (the doors stopped closing so we had to figure out why), no light plates were put back up and worst of all, Zeb has not given us back our money on the RV gate for which we received nothing. Zeb is full of himself, thinks he does no wrong. He has an ego that is dangerous! He doesn't back his work nor his sub-contractor's work. Zeb isn't willing to make this right cause he thinks they have done nothing wrong. News flash Zeb Pearce.....your the business, we are the unhappy customer you took advantage of. We have almost $8000 worth of work due to your poor workmanship! Our next move is the ROC so we can get resolution.
