If I could give negative stars, I would. Do not be sucked into Blinds 4 Designs for their advertised lower costs. Our order was originally placed on 10/18/2019. We were told a 6-week delivery period. We were the first people to move into a brand new construction community and we worked out a deal with B-4-D to advertise on our front yard, which gave them business from pretty much every single family in the community. We noticed the families in our neighborhood who moved in after us started to get their blinds installed and we still hadn't heard a single update. I finally reached out around 12/6/2019 to request an update because it's been 7 weeks. I was not ever given a clear answer. Just a runaround "Oh maybe on next week's truck" Like how do you not have this planned out? At this point, I'm not impressed at all. No one reached out proactively, when I do call no clear answers are given - as a customer that's extremely frustrating. I was getting antsy because my husband and I planned our housewarming party for 12/18 and we were SURE by that time we would have our shutters installed but nope. At that point I started calling weekly and finally on 12/20/2019 (9 weeks) our shutters were installed. And of course - we had defective shutters installed. But that happens, I understand. Todd/Emily assured me they would order replacements. Cool, no big deal. At least we have shutters covering our windows. During the holiday season we got busy and I figured B-4-D would reach out once the replacements arrived. Holiday season passes, don't hear anything. On March 6th I send an e-mail to see what the ETA is on the replacements and Todd in typical fashion: "the manufacture has told us they'll be on next week's delivery truck". Remakes finally arrived on 3/13/2020 (12 weeks after the initial installation) and we schedule a day for B-4-D to come out. This is the one time my husband and I had to cancel and I take accountability. The day we scheduled we had a family emergency so we had to cancel but we let B-4-D drop off the replacement shutters in the garage. Then shelter-in-place started, which I know is no one's fault. I figured B-4-D would reach out once they were open but of course - that's expecting way too much. My husband and I were noticing their van in our neighborhood so I sent them an e-mail on 6/13/2020 and Amanda replied stating they were open and "Let me check on status." I sent a follow-up e-mail on 6/16/2020 and per Amanda: "I am having my installers check my storage today to see what is in. Can you update me as far as what you are waiting for?" Lol can you imagine what's running through my mind at this point? I patiently explained the entire story and Amanda scheduled someone to come out on June 18th. June 18th comes and someone comes to our house to do the installation, YAY. He wore his work boots through-out our entire home (we don't wear shoes inside), didn't wear anything to cover his shoes - okay cool, cool. I'm telling myself to not say anything because YAY we finally have the replacement shutters. As he's nearing the final replacement the installer tells us the color he received for that one is white (we had Swiss) so he's going to order a replacement. Okay cool, that's fine. After he leaves my husband and I walk the entire home and guess what? All the replacements were ordered in the wrong color. At this point I give Amanda a call because I'm at my wits end and I am EXTREMELY frustrated. Think about the timeline here we've been dealing with. So you'd think as a business that serves customers she would listen, right? What actually tipped me over the edge was Amanda wanted me to go through the house and send the measurements for the incorrect shutters. Like what?? How is that not stored in your computer?? I told her I was very unimpressed with their lack of organization and not having the very basic details stored. She goes off on me to say she's super organized and she's having to deal with them changing programs where all the customer information is stored and how Todd/Emily (the people we initially worked with) are no longer with the company. At this point I'm just speechless. I listen to her vent, ask her to order the replacements, and hang up. I mean what else can I do? On June 23rd Amanda e-mails me asking me for pictures of the incorrect colors, which I promptly take and send to her. I send a follow-up e-mail on August 21st (I have it calendared in my iCal to remind me very 8 weeks because trust me, B-4-D will NEVER reach out to you). Amanda replied with: "I do not have an update. I will look into it right now." And no follow-up since then. Will we ever receive the correct shutters? Who knows. Most likely not. My husband and I have been SOOOOOOO extremely patient. We've never once yelled or said anything to B-4-D. But at this point I am just speechless at the complete disorganization, no regard for customer follow-up, and unprofessionalism. Please, please take your business elsewhere. read more
