Simply put, best barbershop I've ever been to. Danny has been cutting me and my husband's hair / trimming our beards for years now. I won't go to anyone else. This is a high-end establishment designed for men that truly delivers a stellar experience. You get a high-quality haircut, shave with a hot towel, shoulder and neck massage, wash and style. They really take their time on you and make sure you love your haircut or beard trim. All of the barbers in the shop are wonderful people that have become dear friends. I moved to the south Salt Lake Valley area just a couple of months ago and did what a lot of people do when you're new to an area... first avoided, and then stressed over, the issue of needing to find a talented barber or stylist to keep me looking sharp. I scoured reviews and recommendations here on Yelp and on other online review platforms looking for someone I could trust with my look. None really made me comfortable until I found Blind Tiger Lounge. The reviews are all solid, and they're backed by photos to show the quality of the cut and styling that Danny is capable of. I finally felt comfortable from that perspective. Then, when visiting the Blind Tiger website (and Instagram), I was thrilled to see the modern appointment booking features. I also texted Danny to make sure that if I booked an appointment, he'd be the person to cut my hair. So I booked my appointment My appointment with Danny went great. He's super sharp, friendly and punctual. He listened carefully to me as I described what I wanted, and then proceeded with a great cut and an amazing experience. We had a great conversation while he worked his incredible scissor, razor and trimmer skills on my overgrown mess. I've been coming here for a little over a year with my grandson. While the service and cuts have always been ok, both aspects have over the course of the last few visits dropped off quite a bit. I'll also add that given the cost, just ok isn't good enough. Between the sheer number of chances given, not really getting the cuts requested (after multiple mid cut adjustments) and an increasingly rushed vibe and attitude, I'm just not willing to shell this kind of money for it. It seems as if everyone working there has a side gig they'd rather be doing than working the clients they have in their chairs. Sad really, because I had high hopes. On the plus side my son was able to be squeezed in the day before we leaving town. On the minus side, his cut was in the end not what he really wanted. In end the barber more or less refused to make anymore changes so again not what was requested and no real interest in providing the client what they stated they wanted. read more

I am new to the area and wanted to get in somewhere quickly as I had an interview lunch to attend the same day. When I called Blind Tiger, they were very kind and were able to work me in right away. Since Covid I have been in the habit of doing my own buzz cut and was looking forward to receiving a haircut with some actual style. They quickly called me back and confirmed a 3:00 appointment. -I showed up at 3:00 -3:05 the barber wasn't there yet -3:10 the barber shows up and said he would be with me shortly -3:15 he is working on fixing a sink -3:20 he is still working on fixing a sink, I left as I had an engagment to get to and wouldn't make it in time if I stayed to get a cut He followed me out and appologized offering to make things better - it was genuine and he was obviously a very good person who wanted to make it right. The shop was incredibly clean and professional - looks like a great joint. They shouldn't have taken the appointment if they couldn't make it.
