Every time we asked them to do something else, he walked out with the same high and tight military cut as the last time. And he would scream and fuss and be miserable. Every. Single. Time. We decided to try taking him with his daddy to Classic Gentleman. I came with in case he needed wrangling while dad was getting his cut, but it wasn't necessary at all. The shop owner, Vern, immediately put him at ease by plying him with candies. Now every time we go, my son sees the booster seat getting put on the chair and RUNS over saying, "it's my turn!" I worried that I would feel weird hanging or in and old school barbershop (aka dude country) but both Vern and Patrick are totally chill. They also always remember you. We love this place!

I was so happy with my first cut I had to come back when it was time for another. I made an appointment with Sammy again just before Christmas. Showed up for my cut and was plopped in the chair pretty quickly. Facing the other direction the entire time - which was fine the first time. This time, after explaining exactly what I was looking to do (same as the last time), Sammy went to town on my hair and didn't leave much left! It was sooooooo short. I get it - this tight and high fade is super in right now. But, that's not what I asked for in any way! And that's not what everyone wants either. Try turning the music DOWN once in a while so you can hear what your clients are asking for. Way too short and way off of what I asked for. Sammy really took his time on every part of the cut ensuring it was done perfectly and is a true barber. He was very thorough, from the few questions he asked ahead of the cut about how I'd like the cut done all the way through the cut.
