That being said, I can say that I have never received bad service by my "hair-wife", Michelle at Salon 56. I have had the pleasure of being her "hair-husband" for coming up on 18 years now. We've known each other longer than we have known our respective spouses and I've had to let my hair grow a little extra long through the birth of all three of her kids. If you're looking for someone that is amazing, go see Michelle (assuming she's taking new clients). She's worth every minute of the nearly 1/2 hour it takes to drive from my house to see her.

I called to help my really good friend find a good salon, since my friend wasn't having much luck (most salons were snobbish and hung up on her regarding perms for long hair). I spent nearly 400$ to get a "Brazilian blowout" "smoothing" treatment and I'm so beyond disappointed. My hair is the same if not more dry and course than before the treatment. I wanted something to temporarily straighten my hair and I got confused by the messages with the salon which is my fault. But now after all is said and done, I'm just upset my hair feels and looks just a little bit worse if anything 4 hours of salon time and 400$ later. Matt or Mark told me he would do a partial color and only charge me two $30. Late fees in addition to the cost of color. I do understand that their time is money so maybe they should quit changing times without a phone call to the customer. The late fee is ridiculous.
