If you have naturally curly hair and you want to make the most of your curls, it's so important…read morethat you go to a curly hair specialist to get a cut. If you're looking for just that expert, look no further than Kristin at Aura-she is a curly hair wizard! I went in wanting just a trim-I'm trying to grow my hair out, and want to keep length. Kristin listened to me, and told me what pieces she would cut and which ones she would leave. She showed me the back where my layers had started looking very disjointed and made a recommendation to cut a little more and even things up. I trusted her and her expertise, so I said "go for it!" The outcome was amazing-everything looked blended and the curls fell where they are supposed to, not haphazardly like they were before. A true "curly cut" is done when your hair is dry so they can see the curl pattern, how your hair lays, etc. Kristin does this and then follows it up with a relaxing shampoo/conditioner. The next day, after getting my hair cut yesterday afternoon, my hair is vibrant, my curls are alive and well and I feel great. I will definitely be back as a repeat customer.

I had my consultation and knew right away I wanted to book with her. She is very much educated and knowledgeable about working with curly hair. She even taught me a few things to do with my hair to make sure it stays and looks healthy. I wanted a full coverage honey blonde but really wanted her opinion since I have dark hair and never dyed it in over a decade. She was very honest and gave me options. The results are a lot better than I had imagined. Finally safe to say I've found my new hair stylist that actually specializes in curly hair. Her studio is super comfortable and the vibe felt really relaxing.

I showed her a picture of what I thought I wanted and explained my concerns (mainly, that I needed a low-maintenance 'do) and then let her have at it. I was blown away by the results. Best cut I've had in a long time, and by far the best cut for the price! Their women's cuts are only $15!!! My hubby also had his hair cut. We had been resorting to shaving his head because he was always so disappointed when he would get his hair done at other salons. He love how Katie cut his hair though, and he doesn't have to use nearly as much product to style it now because she does such a good job. We recommend Katie at Rockstar hair to everyone!

I left feeling so confident, my hair had a lot of body and texture. For a women's haircut, it's about $75 and fringe bang trims are free! How amazing is that my fellow bang sisters?! The whole staff is friendly, unlike other hair salons I have been to. I'm so happy I took a chance on this place, I don't plan to get my haircut anywhere else! A very dimly lit, private room with four washing stations. Soft music plays and the MOST comfortable chairs that did not put a strain on my neck during the washing process. Maddie gives a lovely head, neck and shoulder massage as she gently goes through the cleansing process. I would go back for that alone. Before we began, Maddie attentively listened to what I had in mind for a new & much shorter cut & style. She made suggestions which I loved and then took meticulousl time in doing my cut. Don't let her age make you think she may not be as good as someone with more years of experience. She's probably older than she looks and very sweet. My 28 year old daughter in law recommended her & said Maddie gave her the best cut she has ever had. I'm in my 60's and have had many experiences sitting in peoples chairs and I of the same opinion. Best cut I have ever had and best overall total experience I have ever had. Can't recommend this place enough & especially Maddie as your stylist.

This review is long overdue, but Stephanie's kindness, upbeat personality, and drive to correct a horrible color that was done on me at the Paul Mitchell school earned the five-star rating. A few months ago, Stephanie did a deep conditioner on my damaged hair. I called in this morning to ask about color correction and was thrilled when I arrived that Stephanie would be taking care of me. It was nice to catch up on this missed time, but even nicer to know that someone I trusted would be fixing the awful color. What we fixed: I'd asked for a subtle strawberry blonde mix at Paul Mitchell. The result was super brassy and stripey, and the student working on my hair had completely missed all of my roots. How Stephanie fixed it: First of all, kept me calm and distracted the entire process. I was a bundle of nerves and had arrived at the salon with red-rimmed eyes. I lost track of how long the foils took to apply, but she was precise with each one of them, and for the roots she got right up to the base line. Though we ended up going much darker than my hair was before the Paul Mitchell disaster, it's such a huge improvement. Stephanie truly saved the day for me by giving me a fresh new look and just being so nice throughout everything.
